Also Charges The Two Persons Running The Websites
Using The Names: "Lan Lamphere" and "Todd Andrews"

In a brief public statement made to members of the New Jersey Press Club, hosting a pre-retirement career award for his past work providing security support to newspaper and press companies, such as the Daily Journal and the Newark News, American Computer Company's Security Department head, William Barnes, expressed outrage at the unwarranted personal attacks upon he and ACC, telephonically, in writing, and on the world wide web, by unknown persons using the names: "Lan Lamphere" (allegedly aka "Lance Pemberton", "Lan Delphieris", "Pastor Scott Wrathers"), and "Todd Andrews" (allegedly aka "The Tucson Kid" and "Dr. Dan Wollman"); and "Nexxus.org" "Riskers.org" (allegedly aka "InSearchOf") -- and called for the public to send ACC any information the public knows about the perpetrators, and what appears to an amazing web of deceit and propaganda perpetrated by them on the World Wide Web. He called for a NATIONWIDE BOYCOTT of Riskers and Nexxus for "criminal subterfuge". "Just because we won't sponsor them, financially, is no reason for them to act so bizarrely!" he chided.

Mr. Barnes indicated that it all started when one of the two, called American's 800 number and verbally demanded "thousands of dollars" be paid to "Nexxus" by American Computer, and insisting that they be "included in ACC's Roswell investigations". The person indicated he had "just lost his job and needed some way to support his wife and family" and that he had heard about American from Art Bell (http://www.artbell.com). According to Barnes, American was threatened by him telephonically, that, if ACC refused to sponsor his activities, he, a former US Army Ranger, would 'destroy ACC, its staff and personnel on the Internet, bearing false witnesses and deceptions intended to ruin ACC's reputation, and otherwise undermine the entire ACC computer business.' The demand: $150,000 in hush money.

According to Barnes, at first ACC treated it from 'sympathy' over the report that Lamphere had been fired mid-december from his former job with an organization he indicated had filmed all the "cyclone video" footage for Jan De Bont's film "Twister". However, subsequent threats by Lamphere and Andrews were renewed to such an extent that the matter automatically became an issue for the legal authorities.

Mr. Barnes indicated: "It is American Computer Company's publicly stated policy not to agree to blackmail attempts or to hostage takers. We have refused to be involved with them, and refused to pay them. As a result, these two persons using the names and two websites, commenced exactly the threatened kinds of criminal extortion-like activities, in my opinion. I personally believe them maybe to be somehow in the employ of AT&T/Lucent Technologies, Inc. Corporate Security Department, by means carefully obscured by 'no paper trail', run out of Bridgewater, New Jersey, or by IBM Corporate Security, both of which have "storm trooper" reputations, and which we have evidence have sent such fictitious characters into American Computer semi-annually in the past, along with fictitious emails, and other harassment, all in an effort to disrupt and dissipate our efforts to compete in the PC marketplace.

Our evidence file has grown in recent years, including films and photos of their staff members, testimony of local police, surveillance by investigators, public records and other such information, sufficient to convict both companies. As time goes on, each additional infraction adds another nail to AT&T and IBM's coffin, as eventually, lawsuits will be filed and they shall pay us for damages, asthey have in two past lawsuits. We are AT&T and IBM's worst nightmare, a company that's smarter than they are, with better products, and the ability to dig up the kinds of FRAUDS and SCAMS they pull on the Public."

"In the present case of our direct investigation of allegations that AT&T used its trusted relationship with the Department of Defense, to loot technologies that made AT&T hundreds of Billions of Dollars, as reflects in our materials, Stanton Friedman's books, Lt. Phillip Corso's book, and the representations of two NASA Astronauts, and in light of the SMOKE SCREEN coming from this "Lan Lamphere", we are now even more inclined to believe WHERE THERE IS SMOKE THERE'S FIRE! We are starting to truly believe that AT&T (and IBM) did receive a UFO and/or crash debris from the War Department in 1947, and that is probably the most earth shaking FRAUD and COVER-UP of our time, even though we are still undecided. Imagine, this belief coming from me: a confirmed skeptic days away from retirement, who until only recently used to call the Roswell stories 'invented by a later day Orson Welles'!".

According to Barnes: In writings to a noted Radio Talk Show host, Lamphere and Todd Andrews insisted they were prepared to "cut ACC a new A--h-le". Utilizing their Websites, they then engaged in a campaign of lies, propaganda, slander, flame mail, smear, bearing of false witnesses, false claims that they were "involved with ACC in business" and that "they were customers of ACC dissatisfied with their products", contacting ACC in the interim reminding them that unless the money was forthcoming, the extortion and blackmail would continue. They publicized the web registrations entered into forms by ACC personnel for customers purchasing web sites from ACC, and contacted ACC Customers, directly and by email, harassing them and offering them money to claim they were not happy with their computers.

Barnes indicated that ACC's security department has received several contacts from persons claiming to own ACC products which were, in fact, not ACC products, during the course of the past few weeks, as a result. Investigation of one of these calls, resulted in a written confession from the caller, that he was an acquaintance of Todd Andrews who had been pressured into contacting ACC and he knew Andrews was gathering others to do the same thing, according to Barnes.

Further, Barnes indicated that whenever ACC attempted to be "reconciliatory" towards the two perpetrators, the harassment of ACC elevated to a worse level. Barnes said: both claim to be friends and business associates of Stanton Friedman and Dr. Bruce Maccabbee, but American found reason to believe the acquaintenship claimed by Lamphere was only incidental and not formal, and may have been used to lend credence to their claims of being "the largest UFO group on the net", which they claim has "over 400 members". Barnes found that by members, they meant people who register with their "website" by clicking on a link giving one a password to access documents in their "archives" - a very clever scheme to build membership, as he'd ever seen. But groups like Cufon, Mufon, Francisco Lopez and so-on have membership numbering in the millions, he indicated.

Barnes noted that the only other thing he had gathered about the perpetrators "Andrews" and "Lamphere", was that on their websites were stores which referred to an "Omega" society they appeared to allege was "running the world", under the alleged leadership of "Zodiak", who employs George Bush, Ronald Reagan, Colin Powell and Norman Schwartzkopf, and have suggested that the source of their story's verification, was "First Lady Hillary Clinton". Barnes found these claims ludicrous and borderlining on "psychotic". He said he felt that both persons might be "dangerous lunatics" if they truly believed that Ronald Reagan and George Bush were "running the world, or trying to" and that some hidden character named "Zodiak" was in charge "behind the scenes".

"Next thing you know, they'll be claiming that Jack Shulman is this 'Zodiak' and ACC is running the whole show!" said Barnes.

Until recent telephone death threats were made upon American Computer personnel, from person or persons shielding their identities, telephonically threatening the heads of ACC, Barnes said: ACC had proceeded as if the foregoing perpetrators were just "over-zealous entrepreneurs" or "some left wing group" and had remained silent. However Barnes indicated that matters of the extortion, and Website blackmail, had now been relinquished to the hands of Legal Counsel. Barnes indicated that the matter of the extortion and blackmail is now under investigation, he indicated without saying by whom.

Barnes recommends that anyone reading the foregoing persons 'pedestrian assaults on us from the NEXXUS and RISKERS website and from the safety of anonymity, treat them in the proper light of the huge monetary demands made upon us by phone and by email by Lamphere and by the smear campaign from his cohort, Andrews'."

"Anyone with evidence or additional information about the assault on ACC, should direct it to our email address or, if you prefer, to our counsel:
