- We've been monitoring the situation in Seattle most of
the day watching Jack booted thugs in full SWAT riot gear with gas masks
and Nazi bucket helmets getting in the faces of people for no reason at
all. By and large, all of the protestors conducted themselves in a peaceful
manner and were not blocking traffic or sidewalks as they were constantly
on the move, unlike yesterday in which a small band of "Anarchists"
with black bandannas marauded through the streets totally unrestrained
by police destroying public and private property. By nightfall tonight,
at least 500 protestors --and maybe more-- had been arrested and hauled
off in busses to the former Sand Point Naval Air Station, where there is
a make-shift "brig". However, most of the protestors were refusing
to leave the busses until such time they were provided with legal counsel,
something Seattle Police refused. A local public defender was attempting
to make some headway without success. Earlier today it was reported that
each of the protestors was being held on $20,000 bail, which is extremely
excessive. Live television pictures revealed the SWAT dressed Seattle Police,
assisted by the King County Sheriff/Police and State Patrol, would charge
toward peaceful protestors without provocation of any kind and begin their
harassment by spraying pepper and tear gas, as well as firing rubber bullets
and explosive flash-bangs. Some people had their faces ground into the
pavement under the heel of a black boot - again without provocation or
resistance of any kind. The behavior of these Ninja squads is alarming
and unsettling, considering this is not Moscow. What we observed today
is what you would expect in some tin-horn dictatorship, NOT in America.
The ACLU has indicated it may seek an emergency restraining order to challenge
Seattle Mayor Paul Schell's order "outlawing demonstrations"
within a 50-block area of downtown Seattle, as there are obvious constitutional
infringements. (See additional appended items below for further.)

- It is interesting to note that the Constitution of the
State of Washington (1889), Article I, "Declaration of Rights",
contains 34 sections pertaining to individual RIGHTS and the enjoyment
thereof. Among the more serious ones involved in todays police-state activities
in Seattle are these:

- Article I, Section 1 - POLITICAL POWER. All political
power is inherent in the People, and governments derive their just powers
from the consent of the governed, and are established to protect and maintain
individual rights.

- Article I, Section 3 - PERSONAL RIGHTS. No person shall
be deprived of life, liberty or property, without due process of law.
-
- Article I, Section 4 - RIGHT OF PETITION AND ASSEMBLAGE.
The right of petition and of the people peaceably to assemble for the common
good shall never be abridged.

- Article I, Section 10 - ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE. Justice
in all cases shall be administered openly, and without unnecessary delay.

- Article I, Section 12 - SPECIAL PRIVILEGES AND IMMUNITIES
PROHIBITED. No law shall be passed granting to any citizen, class of citizens,
or corporation other than municipal, privileges or immunities which upon
the same terms shall not equally belong to all citizens, or corporations.

- Article I, Section 14 - EXCESSIVE BAIL, FINES AND PUNISHMENT.
Excessive bail shall not be required, excessive fines imposed, nor cruel
punishment inflicted.

- Article I, Section 18 - MILITARY POWER, LIMITATION OF.
The military shall be in strict subordination to the civil power.

- Article I, Section 22 - RIGHTS OF THE ACCUSED. In criminal
prosecutions the accused shall have the right to appear and defend in person,
or by counsel, to demand the nature and cause of the accusation against
him, to have a copy thereof, to testify in his own behalf, to meet the
witnesses against him face to face, to have compulsory process to compel
the attendance of witnesses in his own behalf, to have a speedy public
trial by an impartial jury of the county in which the offense is charged
to have been committed and the right to appeal in all cases . . . In no
instance shall any accused person before final judgment be compelled to
advance money or fees to secure the rights herein guaranteed.

- Article I, Section 23 - BILL OF ATTAINDER, EX POST FACTO
LAW, ETC. No bill of attainder, ex post facto law, or law impairing the
obligations of contracts shall ever be passed.

- Article I, Section 27 - TREASON, DEFINED, ETC. Treason
against the State shall consist only in levying war against the State,
or adhering to it enemies, or in giving them aid and comfort. No person
shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses
to the same overt act, or confession in open court.

- Article I, Section 29 - CONSTITUTION MANDATORY. The provisions
of this Constitution are mandatory, unless by express words they are declared
to be otherwise.

- Article I, Section 30 - RIGHTS RESERVED. The enumeration
in this Constitution of certain rights shall not be construed to deny others
retained by the people.

- Article I, Section 31 - STANDING ARMY. No standing army
shall by kept up by this State in time of peace, and no soldier shall in
time of peace be quartered in any house without the consent of its owner,
no in time of war except in the manner prescribed by law.

- Article I, Section 32 - FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES. A frequent
recurrence to fundamental principles is essential to the security of individual
right and the perpetuity of free government.

- You may wonder why we included Article I, Section 27
- TREASON. The reason is the World Trade Organisation is an ILLEGAL INTERNATIONAL
ORGANIZATION. The articles of agreement of the WTO resulting from the 1994
Marrakesh Rounds sets up the WTO as a multilateral body that bypasses the
democratic process in each of the member countries. It blatantly derogates
national laws and constitutions while providing extensive powers to global
banks and multinational corporations. The process of actual creation of
the WTO following the Final Act of the Uruguay Round is blatantly "illegal".
Namely a "totalitarian" intergovernmental (INTERNATIONAL) body
has been casually installed in Geneva, empowered under international law
with the mandate to "police" country level economic and social
policies, derogating the sovereign rights of national governments. Under
the laws of the State of Washington, the acts of the WTO constitute "Subversive"
and "Treasonous" activities. RCW (Revised Code of Washington)
Chapter 9.81 defines a "Subversive Organization" as any organization
which engages in or advocates, abets, advises, or teaches, or a purpose
of which is to engage in or advocate, abet, advise, or teach activities
intended to OVERTHROW, DESTROY OR ALTER, OR TO ASSIST IN THE OVERTHROW,
DESTRUCTION, OR ALTERATION OF, THE CONSTITUTIONAL FORM OF THE GOVERNMENT
OF THE UNITED STATES OR OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON, or of any political
subdivision of either of them, by revolution, force or violence. Subversive
activities are made a FELONY in the State of Washington. Everything that
the WTO represents, and their "systematic scheme" of plans and
policies to DIRECT AND CONTROL ALL RESOURCES, both human and natural, are
in complete contravention of the Constitution of the United States of America
(1787) and the State of Washington (1889), and the domestic laws made in
pursuance thereof. Based on the foregoing, which only brushes the surface,
it would appear the Mayor of Seattle and his Police Chief, Norm Stamper,
have been arresting the WRONG people! RCW 9.81 also defines a "Subversive
Person" as any person who commits, attempts to commit, or aids in
the commission, or advocates, abets, advises or teaches by any means any
person to commit, attempt to commit, or aid in the commission of any act
intended to overthrow, destroy or alter, or to assist in the overthrow,
destruction or alteration of, the constitutional form of the government
of the United States, or of the State of Washington, or any political subdivision
of either of them by revolution, force or violence. While it may not appear
outwardly that the WTO is committing revolution, force or violence, in
essence it carries out its overthrow, destruction and alteration of our
constitutional form of government similar to that of "Silent Weapons
For Quiet Wars". The matter of Treason is addressed in RCW Chapter
9.82. Treason against the People of the State of Washington consists of
(1) Levying war against the People of the State, or (2) Adhering to its
enemies, or (3) Giving them aid and comfort. Treason is punishable by death.

- The treaty entitled the "General Agreement On Trade
And Tariffs" (GATT), has amendments known as the "Uruguay Round
Trade Agreement". These amendments created the WTO to regulate PRIVATE
INTERNATIONAL TRADE and DOMESTIC PRODUCTION. The Uruguay Round also contains
clauses that allow the International Organizations to REGULATE AND CONTROL
the member Nations' resources and production. Agro-related production is
one particular area of intense interest for the International Organizations.
Trade restrictions are now imposed to induce or force the surrender of
the USE and CONTROL OF RESOURCES AND PROPERTY to the whims and edicts
of the International Organizations. Under the treaty entitled the "Convention
On Biological Diversity", three international organizations, the United
Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the United Nations Development Programme
(UNDP), and the World Bank, DIRECT and CONTROL "the policy, strategy,
programme priorities and eligibility criteria relating to access to and
utilization of resources" (HUMAN AND NATURAL) in EACH member country,
including the United States and the several States of the Union. As a member
of the convention, the United States, like other Nations, have RELINQUISHED
THE SOVEREIGN RIGHTS AND AUTHORITY of this Nation to the International
Organizations. The Convention On Biological diversity contains specific
language that there are "no reservation of rights". There is
NO clause in the several international agreements which provide for "the
support, protection, and defense of the natural rights of the people; the
principals of which are LIFE, LIBERTY and PROPERTY. Likewise, there is
NO oversight by Congress. Indeed, the Articles of Agreement of "The
Fund" (IMF-UN) and "The Bank" (World Bank-UN) assert that
those holding public office can do not only what the delegated powers under
the Constitution did NOT authorize, but what they ABSOLUTELY FORBID. In
other words, Congress created an entity and granted IT the capacity to
do indirectly what THEY were prohibited from doing directly! Under the
International Agreements, the Constitution and domestic laws of the United
States, like those of the several States of the Union, ARE MERE WORDS ON
PAPER, A DEAD LETTER. Unless of course, the People - from which ALL POWER
originates - throw off the yoke of these ILLEGAL International Organizations.
Either that . . . or it's "Welcome to the New World Order" --
and the pictures from Seattle are just a preview of what is to come.

- Well, we here in Seattle today found out just exactly
why the police pushed demonstrators into the residential areas of Seattle
last night. The city was contacted by the Secret Service and told that
if they did not lock down the city, the President would not come to Seattle.

- A group of a few hundred peaceful protestors made their
way towards the WTO meeting site early this morning with two clear messages:
We do not like the WTO and we will show that we can protest without violence.
They were met by Seattle Stormtroopers dressed to the nines and arrested
immediately.

- This is a sad day for, not only Seattle, but the whole
United States. A precedent was set here that peaceful demonstrations and
protests against the Global Elite will not be allowed. You may only protest
if you get a permit.

- I wonder if the WTO delegate who was caught on camera
waiving a pistol around was arrested. Or the one who was caught on camera
assaulting protestors with his fists. I doubt it.

- Police officers are conducting searches in people's backpacks
and being told that they will not be allowed into the city if they wear
clothing or buttons that protest the WTO. One officer informed a citizen
that gas masks are not allowed in the city. I heard one officer clearly
state that "Protestors are not allowed in the city. Citizens are."
Police are not even making distinctions anymore between gassing and concussion
bombing groups of protestors and groups of average citizens going about
their business.

- We no longer have a police force here in the Seattle
downtown area. We have a corporate military force that will not tolerate
protestors without a permit.

- The mayor of Seattle informed the press that he had no
way of knowing the WTO meetings would bring this many protestors, so he
was caught unprepared. Excuse me? That's absolutely the most ridiculous
statement he could have made! The mainstream press has known! Anyone with
an internet connection has known! This is completely inexcusable!

- And I continue to wonder why police were not doing a
damned thing about these black clad, hooded 'Anarchists' who were hell-bent
on causing damage and destruction! The police chief decided that if they
sent officers after the ones causing destruction, they might lose a foothold
on the areas they had locked down against the peaceful demonstrations!
What kind of idiotic thinking is that?

- One of these 'Anarchists' was asked by a reporter why
they were so violent. He commented that it was to take a few pennies away
from the greedy corporations who have taken billions of dollars from us.
Then they went on and defaced and destroyed the storefront of the NikeTown
building. One camera caught the shot of the evening last night as the photographer
got a close up of the feet of one of these 'Anarchists' as he was kicking
down the Nike logo. Guess what brand name shoes he was wearing: Yep...you
guessed it. Nike.

- The protests are beginning to turn into protests against
police violence instead of protests against the WTO, chanting, "NO
MORE VIOLENCE!" and, "SHAME ON YOU!" to the police.

- For those of you cynical types out there who think the
youth of America don't give a damn anymore (and I'll admit I was one of
them until just recently), these last few days should bring you great hope.
Most of the tens of thousands of people on the streets these last few days
are high school and college aged kids. The great spirit of Life, Liberty
and the Pursuit of Happiness lives on in America. And 99% of them were
NON VIOLENT and are aware of the real issues that threaten those values
we once fought British tyranny over to gain our freedom. Many risked their
own health to stop the idiot 'Anarchists' from their indiscriminant destruction.
And for this, we should rejoice.

- Dear Mayor Schell:

- The ACLU objects to the imposition of a curfew covering
the entire downtown area of Seattle. This invocation of emergency powers
prevents all citizens from pursuing their lawful business, including the
constitutionally protected business of peaceful, nonviolent protest.

- Regrettably, a small fraction of today's overwhelmingly
peaceful crowd committed vandalism and other crimes for which they could
legitimately be arrested and prosecuted. Their violence interfered with
the ability of all to express their views about the WTO. The City should
of course respond to such criminal behavior, but in a way that does not
unreasonably impair the rights of law abiding citizens. A curfew is entirely
indiscriminate. It affects all people, regardless of their actions. We
believe a curfew was an overreaction to the day's events, and that order
can be restored simply by enforcing existing laws.

temporary restraining order in the event the curfew is extended into the
