One
issue that isn't even on the radar for the vast majority of
the American people is one that should be of great concern to
everyone. It's not a political or religious issue. It's about
survival. I know what you're thinking. It's just a few days
after Christmas with 'Happy New Year' about to take over headlines,
lots of jabber about New Year's resolutions and so forth. Who
wants to hear more bad news? I believe in better safe than sorry.
Sadly,
thousands had their holiday destroyed by the wave of tornadoes that
hit outside the Dallas area a couple of days ago; severe flooding in
Alabama. (A
'historic blizzard' that threatens SEVEN FOOT drifts bears down on Texas
- after tornadoes as Christmas storms across seven states claim 43 lives)
We seldom get snow where I live in W. Texas, but over the weekend, a
good size blizzard hit this entire area up to over 200 miles north of
me, Amarillo and the Texas panhandle. My front and back yards look like
Aspen, CO, this time of year. My three muggers (that's doggie in my
world) have had a ball playing in all that fresh powder while I stand
by with towels.
I
strongly believe another tragedy is waiting to happen. This problem
is as serious as a heart attack. The American people, never mind city
governments, are not prepared for what is going to happen. Not
if, but when.
In
1989 when my husband, a bird Colonel at the time, was transferred to
Ft. Carson, CO as Director of Engineering and Housing. I thought, how
fun! Such a beautiful state. Then came the snow. And snow, snow and
more snow. I opened my front door one morning and the snow was so high
I couldn't open the storm door. I was totally unprepared, but I learned
quickly and became a 'prepper'.
Natural
disaster or an act of terrorism, we are prepared. Yeah, it's a drag
sometimes switching out some items, but when the roof caves in, that
time spent is worth gold. Thankfully our house had a very large basement
for storage. I learned to label food jars, rotate them; learned about
long term food storage, what I needed (like a propane stove) and didn't
need (300 cans of tuna).
I'm
talking about an attack on the power grid in this country and the very
real potential for massive loss of life. Can't happen here? Oh, yes
it can and I believe it's now just a matter of time.
Former
Judge Jeanine Pirro, weekend FOX commentator, has spent a fair amount
of time on her show trying to get people educated on this issue. I recommend
you take the time to read the article below because it provides a lot
of information:
Danger
to nation's future suddenly in spotlight: "Here is the big
list of WND stories regarding electromagnetic pulse and the threat EMP
poses to America, whether it occurs from a naturally occurring solar
flare or it comes from an airborne nuclear blast from an American enemy.
Expert says either way, the result would be the same: an almost complete
loss of electronics across America and a return to a 19th century agrarian
society. They predict millions would die."
Millions?
Sensationalism or realistic? What would happen if the power grid was
hit on the Eastern seaboard? Suddenly and without notice, from NYC to
Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Maryland, Virginia - lights out. Not just
lights out, but lights out for months. People were
lined up to be the first in the theaters to watch the new Star Wars
flick - for days. And then: WATCH:
‘Star Wars’ Fans Freak Out When Projector Breaks During
‘Force Awakens’ And Spoils the Ending.
Do
you know countless people are now addicted to cell phones, smart phones
and other electronic gadgets to the point that when denied access they
need counseling? True, so what do you think will happen when millions
no longer have their gadgets?
Now
imagine:
No
gasoline because the pumps at the gas station won't pump. No gas means
no trucks to stock grocery store shelves. It's a fact stores across
this country have no more than 2-3 days of stocked shelves.
No
computers because there's no power. Millions of businesses unable to
function because everything is on those computers. When businesses are
closed down there goes paychecks.
Can't
get medications because China (Wal) Mart's trucks have no gas. No trucks
because no gas means no medications for any pharmacy. Hospitals in crisis
without power.
•
Law enforcement crippled.
•
Airports at a standstill.
•
Banks crippled; no ATM money to be had. Do you keep a private cash
stash and some silver?
•
Roving gangs looking for food or money for drugs.
No?
Try Katrina or Hurricane Sandy which struck in 2012 and crippled parts
of New Jersey, NY, NYC and Long Island and down the coast. In some cases
it took weeks to restore power while people suffered. Massive destruction,
heartache and the scramble for survival. If the grid is attacked and
there's no power for months, what do you think is going to happen?
Are
cities, big and small, around this country prepared for such a catastrophic
event? The answer is no.
I
found out about something called 'prodding' used in intelligence circles.
What it means is Muslim terrorists - like the ones allowed to flourish
in this country - will make a small hit to see how prepared governments,
state or federal, are and what kind of response to expect. The damage
from proddings can be significant but it's really a 'dry run' up to
something bigger. There's been some disturbing things happen over the
past couple of weeks:
Dozens
of propane tanks stolen from 3 different metro locations, December
10, 2015 - Missouri: "A large number of propane tanks have been
reported stolen from several locations is Independence and Lee's Summit.
At the end of November, a BP gas station in Lee's Summit reported 18-20
propane tanks stolen from the outside cages. That same night the CVS
on Southwest 3rd Street reported the exact same crime. Two weeks later,
the CVS on East 23rd Street in Independence was hit, and 28 tanks were
stolen from that location."
Theft
of dozens of propane tanks, purchase of 150 prepaid cell phones in Missouri
puts FBI on alert, December 11, 2015
"The
FBI has launched an investigation after 150 prepaid mobile phones were
bought from local Walmarts in Missouri. This comes after the theft of
dozens of propane tanks in the area. The large number of purchases took
place at six Missouri Walmarts at least, authorities say, according
to KRCG13.
"A
large portion of the phones were bought by “three men with accents”
at one Walmart near the town of Lebanon, Jefferson City police said.
The purchases were made very late, at 3:50am local time on Saturday,
authorities said for 59 of the phones. Although the three men were questioned
by authorities, nothing further could be done, as there were no grounds
for detention. It was then that the FBI was notified by the Laclede
County Sheriff.
"The
second instance of large purchases was registered on Monday by police
in Columbia, two hours north of Lebanon. Five or more men were behind
that purchase, which occurred last Friday at 9:30pm. The same issue
is being investigated by Macon Police, where a purchase happened on
Saturday, as well as Jackson Police, who are investigating the purchase
of 48 prepaid phones on Friday, and Cape Girardieu, where 10 cell phones
were purchased, according to KFVS."
Homeland
Security seeks thieves who stole 43 propane tanks, December 24,
2015: PHILADELPHIA "Police are trying to find two men who
they say stole 43 propane tanks from two industrial sites in the last
week, and have alerted their Homeland Security division as a safety
measure."
Could
be people are cold and can't afford heating oil. Could be industrial
theft. Could be a few guys spent quite a bit of money to buy 150 cell
phones just because they want them. I mean, how many prepaid cell phones
does one person need? Well, I suppose terrorists and drug dealers use
them a lot. But, we shouldn't be worried, nothing but silly conspiracy
theories floating around. And, by the way, nearly all people of Somalia
are Sunni Muslims:
Tenth
Somali-American arrested in Minnesota for aiding ISIS, December
10, 2015. They aren't Americans when they plot to do this:
"Federal
agents in Minneapolis have arrested a 20-year-old man of Somali origin
who they say was the “emir” or leader of
Islamic State recruiting efforts in Minnesota's Twin Cities. Abdirizak
Mohamed Warsame of Eagan, Minnesota appeared in the US District Court
in Minneapolis on Thursday morning, to answer the charges of supplying
material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization. He
was arrested without incident on Wednesday evening, the FBI said.
"The
criminal complaint against Warsame, signed by FBI Special Agent Vadim
Vinetsky, says that a group of at least ten young Somalis from Minnesota
began conspiring to join Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) in the
spring of 2014. One member of the group, 18-year-old Abdi Nir, actually
managed to get to Syria in May 2014, while nine others have been arrested
by the FBI...More than 30,000 Somalis live in Minnesota, with over 85,000
living in the US overall. The United States is home the largest Somali
diaspora in the world."
20
years later: All eyes awaken to U.S. blueprint for terror - OKC
bombing investigator warns Islamic sleeper cells in America ready to
activate
"The
Middle Eastern man in Oklahoma, she contends, was Hussain al-Hussaini,
a former Iraqi soldier who came to the United States as a refugee after
the first Gulf War. Hussaini was one of about 6,000 Iraqi soldiers who
were reclassified as refugees, poorly vetted and allowed into the United
States under President Bill Clinton’s watch. According to Davis’
research, Hussaini was seen by several witnesses with McVeigh in the
days leading up to the bombing, and one witness saw him get out of the
Ryder truck with McVeigh before it blew up."
That
third person responsible for the OKC bombing was all but covered up
by useful fools in the MSM. I'm going to tell you a true story. Two
days after 9/11, I was at my hair dresser's in Sacramento, California.
9/11 was the talk. Karen pointed out one of the other hair dressers
who told her a couple of Middle Eastern men rented a down stairs apartment
in the building where she lived. They left the front door open here
and there so when the woman walked by several times she was able to
see an empty living room with nothing but boxes and fax machines. There
didn't seem to be any other furniture.
Those
males cleaned out the apartment (they paid their rent in cash) on 9/11
and haven't been seen since. I told Karen to tell her to call the FBI
soon as she is done with her client so they could go finger print that
apartment before it gets cleaned. That's exactly how cells operate
- like the two terrorists who committed the slaughter in San Bernadino
with a garage full of bomb making materials. No one said anything for
fear of being politically incorrect.
Whether
an attack on the grid is by Muslim terrorists or Communist China (Video
in real time: Massive
Chinese Cyber Attack Against The USA - think about that the next
time you buy something made in Commie China), a major hit to the grid
will be catastrophic.
Ted
Koppel has a new book out I believe everyone should read: Lights
Out: A Cyberattack, A Nation Unprepared, Surviving the Aftermath.
Pg
8: "There are three power grids that generate and distribute electricity
throughout the United States, and taking down all or any part of a grid
would scatter millions of Americans in a desperate search for light,
while those unable to travel would tumble back into something approximating
the mid-nineteenth century. The very structure that keeps electricity
flowing throughout the Unite States depends absolutely on computerized
systems designed to maintain perfect balance between supply and demand."
Page
11: "The Department of Homeland Security has no plans beyond those
designed to deal with the aftermath of natural disasters. The deputy
administrator of the FEMA believes that a major urban center would have
to be evacuated. His boss, the administrator, does not. The administrator
believes that a successful cyberattack on a power grid is possible,
even likely. His deputy does not. The current secretary of homeland
security is sure that a plan to deal with the aftermath of a cyberattack
on the grid exists, but he doesn't know any details of the plan. As
of this writing [Published October 2015], there is no specific plan."
Now,
doesn't that make you and your precious family feel safe? Chapter 2,
AK-47s and EMPs is particularly frightening. "This wasn't an incident
where Billy-Bob and Joe decided after a few brewskis, to come in and
shoot up a substation." Former VP for PG & E. A huge attack
was perpetrated at the PG & E's Metcalf Transmission Substation
on April 16, 2013; that's in California. In a very short period of time,
seventeen giant transformers were knocked out using AK-47s. Well thought
out, well planned. The damage could have been much, much worse. I believe
that incident was "prodding".
Pg
224: "With adversaries malware in the National Grid, the nation
has little or no chance of withstanding a major cyberattack on the North
American electrical system. Incredibly weak cybersecurity standards
with a wide-open communications and network fabric virtually guarantees
success to major nation-states and competent hacktivists. This [electric
power] industry is simply unrealistic in believing in the resiliency
of this Grid subject to a sophisticated attack. When such an attack
occurs, make no mistake, there will be major loss of life and serious
crippling of National Security capabilities." [Emphasis added
by Koppel.]
(Remember
the chaos on 9/11 where no one knew what was going on or how to handle
it?)
Koppel
was quoting from George Cotter, former chief scientist at the NSA (National
Security Agency) in his April 2015, 4th white paper: Security in the
North American Grid.
The
Outlaw Congress - BOTH parties - have been kicking this can down the
road turning a deaf ear to all the warnings from experts who say it
WILL happen. Oh, there's a few voices back there in Foggy Bottom 'concerned',
but overall Congress is a body of liars, cheats, thieves, crooks and
damn fools who have left our borders wide open and our nation ripe for
attacks.
Where
is America's cyberdefense plan?
"Hacking
into the most vulnerable could lead to a domino-like penetration of
even the most secure companies. The automated programs (known as supervisory
control and data acquisition systems) that control the supply and demand
of electricity nationwide are, for the most part, standardized and therefore
highly accessible. Multiple sources in the intelligence community and
the military tell me that Russia and China have already embedded cyber-capabilities
within our electrical systems that would enable them to take down all
or large parts of a grid. Iran's capabilities are believed to be close
behind. North Korea is working toward such a goal....
"Why
hasn't anyone in authority warned us? Well, they have — repeatedly.
In October 2012, then-Defense Secretary Leon Panetta told an audience
of security executives that “a destructive cyber-terrorist attack
could virtually paralyze the nation.” More specifically, Panetta
warned that it could “shut down the power grid across large parts
of the country” and could be “ a cyber-Pearl Harbor.”
Warning specifically of cyberattacks, President Obama said in his 2013
State of the Union address that “our enemies are also seeking
the ability to sabotage our power grid.”
"The
impact of such an attack would be dire. In 2010, a bipartisan group,
including two former secretaries of defense, two former directors of
central intelligence and two former national security advisers, sent
a confidential letter to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce
warning that the electric grid “is extremely vulnerable to disruption
by a cyber or other attack.” The letter went on to say that “timely
reconstruction of the grid following a carefully targeted attack. would
be impossible” and could “result in widespread outages for
at least months to two years or more, depending on the nature of the
attack.”
When
the grid is attacked, there isn't enough law enforcement to deal with
such a catastrophe and since there is no
constitutional militia authorized under state control except for
the watered down one in Arizona, YOU and YOUR family will be on your
own. Under NO circumstances do you want our military used as
was the case for Katrina.
Here
in Texas we have a slightly better chance although a direct hit would
be devastating:
The
Future of the Texas Power Grid
"Texas
is known as the Lone Star State, but an equally apt nickname would be
the “Lone Grid State.” Unique among the lower 48 American
states, Texas has its own, dedicated energy grid. This network of 550
power generation units and more than 43,000 miles of transmission lines
serves 24 million customers, accounting for about 90 percent of statewide
electricity consumption....
"ERCOT’s
isolation means the Texas grid is not subject to federal regulation.
Historically, this independent arrangement has worked well for Texas,
given its ample resources of coal and gas, along with the state's famed
penchant for self-reliance. Yet the go-it-alone approach is facing challenges
as Texas continues to surge economically and population-wise....
"A
wake-up call about the grid’s vulnerability came in February 2011.
A deep freeze caused heating energy demand to skyrocket, forcing ERCOT
into instituting temporary, so-called rolling blackouts across numerous
counties. Grid strain has continued. For instance, ERCOT issued several
warnings during Summer 2015 urging consumers to reduce their electrical
use during peak afternoon demand hours, and purchased supplemental power
from other grids. Key steps are now being taken, Searcy said, to shore
up the Texas grid for the future. “Our current planning outlook
shows we're in good shape for several years now,” she said."
There
are many, many web sites who focus on this issue offering up helpful
suggestions to survive an EMP attack, cyberattack or an act of terrorism
shutting down a quarter of the country - or even coordinated attacks
on the East and West coasts at the same time. Imagine the LA basin with
15 million people without power for two or three months. A nightmare
of epic proportions because AMERICANS ARE NOT TAKING THIS SERIOUSLY.
An
excellent site is: Off
The Grid News. Learn how to take care of you and your family if
you're in an area hit by an attack. Ain't no one else going to, believe
me. One doesn't have to go to extreme lengths, but every family should
have food storage to last at least two months. I recommend Legacy
Food Storage. There are many more companies that sell food storage
and are less expensive. But, be sure to read the label for ingredients
so you aren't buying filler foods instead of quality food. Just use
a search engine: long term food storage. Some even offer organic and
vegan.
I
know money is an issue for tens of millions of Americans who don't have
any savings or less than $1,000 in a savings account. If you live close
to family, get together, buy the largest food storage package and divide
it up between your family. That way everyone has at least a few weeks
supply. So many things you need: flashlights, batteries, first aid kits,
a good portable radio is essential - think what you need when the lights
go out. No new video game, shopping for 'things', skiing at
your favorite resort or tickets to some football game is more important
than being prepared for natural disasters or terrorist attacks here
in our country. Find the money. Buy a few things best you can
from week to week, but become a prepper today.
If
you don't own a gun, you won't be able to protect your family
against those who want to steal what you have and they don't.
Sheriffs across this country are telling their citizenry: Arm
yourselves. They're doing it for a reason: They can see the
hand writing on the wall.
People
go nuts like what we saw in New Orleans during Katrina. Massive looting
and people dying. Then Mayor Ray Nagin has their blood on his hands.
There was a five day warning about Katrina bearing down. Nagin and other
mayors along the coast did not do what was needed to get done nor were
there any constitutional militia to make sure it got done. Yes, Katrina
was massive, but a lot of the pain and suffering could have been mitigated.
Nagin is now serving a ten year prison sentence for corruption committed
after Katrina while the city was trying to recover. He's right where
he belongs.
Water
will be a severe problem. I recommend getting at least a 100 gallon
tank and park it on the side of your house behind a secure fence. Where
I live, Culligan has trucks that will deliver the water to your storage
tank for really a small amount per gallon. When you have no water it
can become a matter of life and death. Your water storage will be worth
a King's ransom in gold. I know it's more difficult if you live in an
apartment, but you can still store at least a week's worth of water.
Planning ahead will mean the difference between life and death for you
and your family. If you think it isn't going to happen here, I submit
that is a very foolish position to take. Muslim terrorists are
in this country and they are out for your blood.
Get
prepared now, not when the lights go out. I recommend Koppel's
book (Order
here) because it is documented, very well written with no bias and
provides suggestions that are common sense.
[Just
a short note about 9/11 and Smart Electric Meeters.
The cost of America's undeclared "war" (invasion) in Afghanistan
has now reached $1 trillion borrowed dollars - massive debt heaped on
us all based on what happened on 9/11. Regular readers of my column
know I continue to press for the truth about the events of 9/11. Military
grade nanothermite is not a conspiracy theory. It was found and tested
from the rubble at the twin towers. A new, powerful film has been released:
The
Anatomy of a Great Deception. For full disclosure I receive no compensation,
but I want you to get a copy (or a few) and share it with others or
give a copy as a present. I've purchased half a dozen copies and given
them to individuals I believe seek the truth. It's very powerful simply
because it's one 'ordinary' man's story who ask a simple question that
led him to a not so simple journey. There is factual information in
this film that many have never heard about but everyone should.
Just a suggestion, order more than one and give one to a friend.
Also, must

Back Your Power.]
