To Ebola To Be Put In NIH Clinical Center |

Hello Jeff - If possible please add this as proof to
the article I just sent for posting. More insanity that the government is paying for, by government I mean me and YOU the taxpayer. Why do these ebola patients have to be brought to the US? Simply leave them in Africa, give them the protocol and keep a record of the effects upon the patient and disease. I know I am simplifying but essentially that is it. I think it insane to bring a FOREIGN infectious BSL 4 disease to the US. If you do that, then use Plum Island. Use Guantanamo Base but don't bring them to hospitals in crowded metro areas like Atlanta, Washington DC, NYC, etc. Most of the Ebola treatment centers that will be accepting this new line of patients are in crowded metro areas. and for what purpose, to explore expensive vaccines and treatments that the first world will buy up and much of which will be purchased by the US government to GIVE FREELY to Africa. I am sure that when they are ready to market the products from this experimentation then, all of a sudden we will be inundated with Ebola articles and scare tactics to encourage the first world to stockpile these drugs against Ebola. It seems to me that now we take a big risk and expense bringing people from Africa to the US to try experimental protocols. Do we really want this brand new strain of Ebola, that is highly contagious,in the US? One of these patients could be coming to a hospital NEAR YOU. Patty Patient Exposed To Ebola Now In NIH Clinical Center Later today, the National Institutes of Health expects to admit a patient with exposure to the Ebola virus to the NIH Clinical Center’s special clinical studies unit for observation and to enroll in a clinical protocol. The patient is an American nurse who was volunteering services in an Ebola treatment unit in Sierra Leone. The special clinical studies unit is specifically designed to provide high-level isolation capabilities and is staffed by infectious diseases and critical care specialists. The unit staff is trained in strict infection control practices optimized to prevent spread of potentially transmissible agents such as Ebola. In addition, access to the unit will be strictly controlled. No additional details about the patient are being shared at this time. NIH is taking every precaution to ensure the safety of our patients, NIH staff, and the public. This situation presents minimal risk to any of them.
