The End Of 'Education' In America |

* NO WAY ESEA (final Senate/House vote
coming up this week or next) * NO WAY PISA (OECD'S Program for International Student Assessment) * NO WAY FINNISH EDUCATION supported by leftist Prof. Tony Wagner, Harvard, and others. * NO WAY SOVIET WORKFORCE TRAINING - Reagan-Gorbachev and Carnegie-Soviet Academy of Science Agreements (1985) related to Marxist critical thinking in 1985, being pushed by Robert Marzano and his RISC program (Reinventing School Coalition) * NO WAY CARNEGIE 1934 PLAN which called for using schools to change US capitalist system to a planned economy and in some cases to take our land. When visiting in London in 2012, 2 cab drivers, a Pakistani and a Kenyan, discussed with me the present deliberate dumbing down of education in England. They, in separate conversations with me, said they came to England about thirty years ago so their children could get a good education. Which their children did get... But now, they see that their grandchildren are getting a non-academic education, part of the international Skinnerian outcomes based "training" restructuring system, the Finnish system supported by Harvard's Professor Tony Wagner, PISA, UNESCO, the corporations, etc. Grandchildren can't multiply, divide, know no history, behavior out of hand, etc., everything we are looking at here in the USA. So...these two cab drivers, who didn't know one another, are going back to Pakistan and Kenya where they said their education systems are still academic. That won't last for long with UNESCO, OECD's PISA assessment, etc. in charge. Call on American voters: NO WAY ESEA. KILL THE REAUTHORIZATION BILLS THAT CALL FOR RESTRUCTURING OF AMERICA'S ACADEMIC EDUCATION SYSTEM FROM INPUTS (what student learns) to OUTPUTS (how student can perform to spin off profits for the global elite: ACADEMICS TO WORKFORCE TRAINING WITH LIFELONG SERVICES RUN BY UNELECTED COUNCILS. Read three quotes below: ERASING INDIVIDUALISM & COMPETITION Professor James Block, a leader in Skinnerian/mastery learning circles (what later was called Outcome-Based Education (OBE), and what is now called "Common Core"), published an article in Educational Leadership (November 1979) entitled “Mastery Learning: The Current State of the Craft,” where he stated: One of the striking personal features of mastery learning, for example, is the degree to which it encourages cooperative individualism in student learning as opposed to selfish competition. Just how much room is there left in the world for individualists who are more concerned with their own performance than the performance of others? One of the striking societal features of mastery learning is the degree to which it presses for a society based on the excellence of all participants rather than one based on the excellence of a few. Can any society afford universal excellence, or must all societies make most people incompetent so that a few can be competent? [excerpt from page 118, bold added] "CHANGING
VALUES" MORE IMPORTANT THAN LEARNING HOW TO READ In a Washington Post article dated August 1, 1977, entitled “Competency Tests Set in 26 Schools,” Thomas Sticht—who was later named to U.S. Secretary of Labor Elizabeth Dole’s Secretary’s Commission on Achieving Necessary Skills (SCANS)—was also mentioned as an associate director at the National Institute of Education (NIE) at the time mastery learning (OBE, now called Common Core) was implemented in the D.C. schools. The Post article quoted Sticht extensively, verifying that he and Spady were both deeply involved in the implementation of the new mastery learning (OBE) curriculum. Later, in 1987, The Washington Post again paraphrased Sticht as follows: Many companies have moved operations to places with cheap, relatively poorly educated labor. What may be crucial, they say, is the dependability of a labor force and how well it can be managed and trained, not its general educational level, although a small cadre of highly educated creative people is essential to innovation and growth. Ending discrimination and changing values are probably more important than reading in moving low income families into the middle class. [excerpt from pages 215-16, bold added] TRAINING
CHILDREN LIKE TRAINING SKINNER'S PIGEONS“Competency Tests Set in 26 Schools: New Curriculum Shifts Teaching Methods in District” was the title of an article which appeared in The Washington Post on August 1, 1977, that stated: “The materials will be standardized, the lessons will be standardized,” Guines said. “We’re taking the play out. We’re taking the guesswork out. We’re putting in a precise predicted treatment that leads to a predicted response.” Guines said that the new curriculum is based on the work in behavioral psychology of Harvard University’s B.F. Skinner, who developed teaching machines and even trained pigeons during World War II to pilot and detonate bombs and torpedoes. The basic idea, Guines said, is to break down complicated learning into a sequence of clear simple skills that virtually everyone can master, although at different rates of speed. “If you can train a pigeon to fly up there and press a button and set off a bomb,” Guines remarked, “why can’t you teach human beings to behave in an effective and rational way? We know that we can modify human behavior. We’re not scared of that. This is the biggest thing that’s happening in education today.”... [excerpted from page 146, emphasis added] I have read the text of the legislation being voted on this week: Reauthorization of ESEA. Most dangerous part of it relates to Charter Schools with unelected boards: end of representative government/ part of regionalism/UN Agenda 21. Once decisions are made by unelected councils Americans won't have a say in anything. Bye bye the America we all knew and love. Carnegie Conclusions 1934 called for using schools to change US capitalist system to planned economy...which is going in today. Reauthorization of ESEA major part of 1934 plan. 1934 to 2015. Done deal if Reauthorization passes. Call, call, call. No Way ESEA. Carnegie Marc Tucker, who wrote Dear Hillary letter in 1990s re implementing STW system: Quotes from abcs re no more school boards, no more ed funding with property tax; state will fund instead; get rid of USDept., move power to state depts. of ed and dgovernors and unelected councils; create national commission of unelected reps from all states who will coordinate lifelong services under umbrella of unelected board. ![]() (Source) Here is a key excerpt from Marc Tucker's paper: The paper proposes a major redesign of the education governance system in the United States. Just as former President George H. W. Bush convened a meeting of the governors to consider new goals for American education, President Barack Obama should convene a national meeting to consider how the nation’s governance system for education can be modernized to meet the challenges of the global economy. The main theme of this paper has to do with the finding that every nation that tops the list of global education performers has an agency of government at either the state or national level where the education buck stops—an agency that has the responsibility for the health of the education system and the authority and legitimacy needed to provide the effective leadership that results in a coherent, powerful education program. No such agency exists in the United States, where that authority and responsibility are dispersed among four levels of government, and, within the state level, among many different actors. I propose to greatly strengthen the role of the state education agencies in education governance, at the expense of “local control,” and of the federal government. In this plan, school funding would be the responsibility of the state, not the locality, and the distribution of state funds for schools would have nothing to do with the distribution of local property wealth. Thus the governance roles of the local districts, as well as the federal government, would be significantly decreased. Independent citizen governing boards would be eliminated. The line of political accountability would run to mayors and governors through their appointees. At the state level, the governance of the schools, higher education, early child- hood education and youth services would all be closely coordinated through the governance system. Though the role of the federal government would be curtailed, there are some very important national functions that must be served in a modern education system. I propose that a new National Governing Council on Education be established, composed of representatives of the states and of the federal government, to create the appropriate bodies to oversee these functions. [all emphasis added] Americans being told we should adopt Communist Finnish education system. Finland has good scores on PISA. So do many other socialist and communist countries. What is PISA? Americans should be pleased we don't have good scores on PISA. PISA is UN/UNESCO/OECD international Skinnerian OBE/Performance-based test. Remember when parents were upset their school's state and national assessment results weren't good? I used to tell parents "You should probably be happy they are not good. That means the teachers are resisting moving to Skinnerian performance based education and are still teaching academics, teaching your children facts, knowledge, math skills, etc. which they can use for their personal upward mobility. PISA is NOT an academic test for liberal arts, foreign languages, history, philosophy, geography, etc. It is a communist performance based test of knowledge of math and science for workforce training only and for "politically correct globalist UN Agenda 21 values". Take a look at You Tube Indian educator talking about the marvels of Common Core math. Absolutely sickening how he berates the old methods of multiplication which allowed Americans to become educated! USA could never have been the world leader in medicine, auto design, inventions (electricity, etc.), aviation, manufacturing, music, art, etc. had Americans been subjected to the dumbdown education and testing system we are being encouraged to accept, covered in the Reauthorization of ESEA. Say NO to ESEA. PISA (Program for Intl. Student Assessment)( is the international assessment necessary for implementing and monitoring your child's role in (contribution to the global workforce training system to spin off profits for the global elite). PISA IS THE DELIBERATE DUMBING DOWN OF THE WORLD USING METHODOLOGY OF B.F. SKINNER WHO SAID 'I COULD MAKE A PIGEON A HIGH ACHIEVER BY REINFORCING IT ON A PROPER SCHEDULE.' Are your children pigeons, dogs? C.S. Lewis quote."When training beats education civilization dies." If we truly care about our children's upward mobility (no quota system - the late Prof. Eugene Boyce, U. of Georgia quote: In communist countries they do not educate for jobs that don't exist) and about our country's continued existence as a representative republic, we MUST kill reauthorization legislation. Charter schools with unelected boards are all major part of the Reauthorization of Education legislation. Tax-funded school choice is necessary for international education/training. USA is, I believe, only nation with private education NOT funded by government. UNESCO and OECD are telling our change agent educators and the Congress that private education must be KILLED through govt. tax funding. What the govt. funds the govt. controls. SOLUTION: KILL the reauthorization of ESEA . CALL YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS AND SAY "NO" to ESEA. Then we focus on restoring academic education by getting rid of US Dept of Ed and ending all DC federal funding sources (offices) and their stream of dollars to local level for health, labor, and data collection, part of lifelong education under umbrella of unelected councils. We restore locally elected boards at all levels, we hire teachers trained in liberal arts, not at teacher training institutions which use only Skinnerian methodology, but in subject matter. We restore competition using the ABCDF grading system; we restore K-12; we get rid of individualized education which used to be just for Title I (Special Education). And we hold onto "true" private education that received NO tax funding. There is still much talent and brains in this country. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Hold on to what really works for your children and your country. What has a track record. Don't fall for globalist educators' "What Works philosophy". That philosophy is Skinnerian dog training. Yes, it works. However, your children are NOT animals. They have abrain, soul, conscience, etc. Don't allow them to be experimented on like animals. The rest of the world is counting on the USA to take a stand. Parents across the world do NOT want this restructured education system. CALL, CALL, CALL, CALL. VOTE MAY COME UP ANY DAY.
