| Conflict Rages During Syrian Ceasefire |

| While John Kerry talks ceasefire and peace with Sergey Lavrov, Washington
keeps supporting ISIS and other terrorist groups in Syria, across the
Middle East and elsewhere. The charade of Obama the peacemaker continues. If he wanted peace, why did he launch war in March 2011? Why does he continue war on Iraq, supporting ISIS and other terrorists? Why endless war in Afghanistan? Why did he rape and destroy Libya? Why did he replace democrats with Nazi-infested fascists in Ukraine? Whey does he support their war on Donbass freedom fighters resisting tyranny heroically? Why does he supply Israel with billions of dollars in annual military aid, including state-of-the-art weapons and technology - used to terrorize defenseless Palestinians? Why are ISIS and likeminded groups used as US foot soldiers? Arms and other material support flow freely from Turkey to ISIS and other terrorist groups in Syria. Saudi and Qatari money largely fund them. Washington orchestrates everything. Ousting Assad and transforming Syria into another US vassal state remains official administration policy - unchanged no matter who succeeds Obama next year. Dead-on-arrival peace talks begin on Wednesday - impossible to end fighting because Assad has no legitimate partner. US/Saudi supported terrorist groups involved want him ousted. Rightfully he insists Syrians alone will decide who’ll lead them, free from foreign interference. General Sergey Kuralenko heads the Hmeymim-based Russian Center for Syrian Reconciliation. On Sunday, he said Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists “repeatedly fired mortars at Turkish territory from the area near the Syrian settlement of Metishli.” Their actions aim to “provok(e) the Turkish military units to return fire and bring their troops into Syria, which will inevitably lead to the disruption of the peace process.” ISIS fighters are positioned in Turkish territory close to Syria’s border, Kuralenko explained. They’re preparing to attack Syrian territory, an area largely populated by Kurds. Plans are to instigate hostilities, then blame Syrian forces for their ceasefire violations. ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist groups in northern Syria coordinate their activities with Turkey’s military. They maintain constant close contact. Washington is well aware of what’s going on. Syria is Obama’s war, Turkey doing nothing belligerent without US approval or complicity. Ceasefire is more illusion than reality, so-called peace talks farcical if begin as scheduled, conflict resolution nowhere in sight. Endless war rages, approaching its fifth anniversary next week - perhaps its 10th in another five years. Permanent war is official US policy, supported by all duopoly power presidential aspirants - world peace and stability considered national security threats. Stephen Lendman lives in Chicago.
