I'm also reminded of a call from Paige Kaiser many years ago who lived in Augusta, Georgia where there is an aspartame plant.  She said, "Why does NutraSweet spray their crops with aspartame, it smells terrible?"

I said, "Because its a systemic neurotoxin and will kill the bugs just like it kills people!  Eventually, because of the complaints she said the city made them stop.

Also, remember that aspartame is a multi-potential carcinogen, and the latest study shows liver and lung cancer.  Odd, the FDA has nothing to say then they knew it in 1975!
