35 Million On Food Stamps - Case For
Immigration Moratorium - Pt 2

Measuring a moratorium impact, jobs, services, finances...

As little as 400 years ago, humans considered the earth flat. They saw lightning as God's anger. An eclipse of the sun meant dark forces at work. Humans thought the sun revolved around the earth.

Today, we smile about a 'flat' earth since we know it to be round. 'Lightning' makes electricity which we use to light our homes. An eclipse means the moon blocked the sun for a few moments. Finally, Galileo, arrested for his heresy for stating what we know to be self evident, the earth and all planets in the Milky Way Galaxy, revolve around the sun. Where the sun moves toward, we don't have a clue! We live on tiny spinning rock in one humongous universe, with no idea of how or why we exist. We only guess!

What we used to assume in the past-cannot and does not hold true today. This amazing country, known to the world as the United States, suffers from similar assumptions held as 'true' for two hundred years.

"We are a nation of immigrants! We welcome everyone to come here for a better life," continues to echo across the land.

Unfortunately, that no longer holds true. Our civilization faces an ominous future with total overload on many levels. Amazingly, few understand our dilemma.

We see mass immigration and multiculturalism displacing American workers and destroying the mores and customs of America by immigrants with no intention of moving into the mainstream. Instead, we see multi-racial, multi-ethnic and multi-lingual chaos in most big cities where our tax dollars support legal and illegal immigrants collecting in enclaves. We see Los Angeles to Detroit to New York where Muslims build Mosques at breakneck speed (1,208 thus far) and Hindus and Sikhs seeking waterfronts to spread their ashes as they do at home. Mexicans quickly retake the four borders states with babies and drug gangs.

Americans make the grave mistake by thinking that incoming immigrants believe in the American way of life, in a constitutional republic and freedom of speech. They think wrong! Additionally, Americans think this civilization can continue growing without consequences. They will be proved equally wrong, just as Galileo proved the Pope wrong.

For some reason, our Congress thinks we can continue adding 100,000 to 150,000 legal immigrants into this country every 30 days, month in and month out, and somehow re-employ 15 to 20 million unemployed Americans when we only create 95,000 jobs a month.

In the winter publication of The Social Contract,  <http://www.thesocialcontract.com>www.thesocialcontract.com , notable economist Edwin S. Rubenstein, president of ESR Research, wrote, "The Economic Case for a Moratorium." Vol.XX, No.2, Winter 2009-10, The Social Contract Quarterly.

"Too many people, not enough jobs," said Rubenstein. "In a nutshell, is the dilemma facing the U.S. economy. Barack Obama's $787 billion stimulus package has flopped."

Today, the U.S. businesses create a scant 95,000 jobs. One year's importation of 1.2 million legal immigrants negates any kind of job recovery for Americans.

Rubenstein reports the stark facts driving down wages and loss of jobs via immigration:

·         Immigrants arriving between 1980 to 2000 reduced the average annual income earnings of native-born men by $1,700 annually.

·         Wage losses of native-born Blacks and Hispanics are significantly larger than those for Whites because a much larger share of those minorities directly compete against immigrants.

Rubenstein said, "Do you see what Congress is saying? Get it? More immigration means more workers, which means a higher GDP-which means we need more immigration. Reality check: GDP does rise when new immigrants enter the labor force. But the average standard of living falls."

I can share with you my own experiences in China. They enjoy an unending labor force! The add eight million new people into their country every year from birth rates alone. Result: massive and unending cheap labor force. Thus, average wages remain .33 cents an hour and top out at .88 cents an hour.

Do Americans want that kind of a future? We'll get our wish if our Congress continues importing 1.2 million legal immigrants annually.

CALL FOR AN IMMIGRATION MORATORIUM

"A moratorium for all non-essential and non-refugee immigration cases makes sense," said Rubenstein. "Such a time-out could be set to last for one or two years or it could run as long as U.S. unemployment remains at five to six percent. Yes, that could be decades-but the moratorium would hasten the time at which it is no longer neededthe first rule of intelligent policy-making is this: when you are in a hole, stop digging."

Finally, it makes no sense to bring in millions of job seekers and welfare recipients that enjoy qualifications of a taxi cab driver or a hotel maid. The $346 billion spent on immigrants annually could go for U.S. citizens. Ask any of our citizens, all 35 million subsisting on food stamps and welfare today how they feel.

We need to implement a 10 year moratorium on all immigration. Unlike 200 years ago, immigration no longer benefits America, but in fact keeps 20 million of our citizens unemployed and 35 million of us subsisting on food stamps. THAT proves un-American!
