e-mail, please contact me. I had no idea you also had a place here
for Bigfoot sightings! I've also seen "Bigfoot" and his
family a number of years ago. I'm 42 now and I was about 12 then,
with my two older brothers (14yrs.and 18). We were swimming in the Yough
River just across from our home around 2:00pm in the summer. The whole
river was no higher than maybe up to my waist and remember I
was about 12, so it was pretty shallow. Long story short, I'm in the water
with one brother, our oldest brother was just a little bit away
on the shore. We were looking downstream and saw a huge hairy creature,
maybe 7-7.5 feet tall and one a tad bit smaller and two small
ones, maybe my size. The big one picked up this huge boulder out of the
water and lifted over his head, with arms stretched as far as they
could be.

- He threw it to the smaller one, the smaller one seemed
to be listening to the biggest one because it dropped it into the water
as if told to do so. Mind you, we've been watching them for about 10-15
minutes. They all noticed us at the same time, so I know they communicate
with each other. Then all four of them very, very, slowly went down
in the water! Being a 12 year old I thought they were coming up stream
to get us! We got out of the water so fast and ran across the
street to home. We didn't know anything about "Bigfoot"
back then, or we could've possibly got footprints from the shore, or watched
to see where they went and got pictures. We just knew we saw some
kind of hairy creatures and didn't want any part of that river again.

- Morricetown, British Columbia Bright Light Hovering Over
The Farm

- Hello, My Name is (name removed). I am a retired electronic
technician. I am currently involved doing research and experimentation
with free energy .
- So I am busy but after reading Wednesdays Aug 08 article
in the Citizen Paper. I felt compelled to come forward with the information
as stated below, since we are talking about roughly the same location as
the incident of 1964.

- About the year of 1963 I worked for a Mining Company
in Smithers and one of our Geochemists (name removed) who had a farm on
the north side of Morricetown nestled in some hills and near big mountains
told us a story that had happened the night before. (Do not recall the
exact time but it was in the Summer of 1963 or 1964).

- His parents from California, then in their 80's were
visiting and she was woken up that night by a bright light. At first
she thought it was the Moon and wanted to drape the curtains but after
a closer look and waking up she realized that it could not have been the
moon hovering that low and bright over their son's Hayfield.

- (Name removed) senior then woke up her husband and
both watched this bright light for quite a while hovering there silent
and motionless. They did not know what to make of it. After a good period
of time this object very rapidly disappeared into the direction of the
mountains to the north getting smaller and smaller until it was no longer
visible.

- This is from people that never knew nor believed in UFO's.
My father likewise saw some objects in Germany one night and those were
seen and recorded by the Airport personnel in Duesseldorf in the late 50's
just after the sputnik satellite was launched. Although never having seen
any objects myself, I am a firm believer, I had some strange experience
though sleeping alone on top of a mountain in Chilliwack which could
have been a contact but I don't remember. I have my own views on that matter
and I know of more reputable people like my sister in law who with a neighbor
saw one hovering over her apartment in
- Coquitlam in the 80's she really does not believe in
this phenomenon but she could not deny what she saw.

- RAF Akrotiri, Cyprus An Enormous UFO Shaped Like The Giant
Cross Of Lorraine

- It was in the evening of a day in late May 1974 although
I cannot be sure of the exact date. I was a Squadron Leader at the RAF
station at Akrotiri in Cyprus.
-
- I was standing with my friend and fellow officer, Flight
Lieutenant (name removed), in the garden of my married quarter on base
and we were discussing the plans for an RAF Akrotiri mountaineering expedition
to Iran. It was a moonlit night with a clear sky and no clouds.
-
- As we were speaking a rather strange looking craft appeared
in the dark sky to the East. It was heading towards us and appeared to
have a very large wing span. It was moving at about the same cruising
speed as a modern passenger aircraft.
-
- As it came nearer we could see that it was unlike any
aircraft we had ever seen. It became clear that it was in the shape of
a giant cross of Lorraine and flying in the direction of the top of the
cross. It is difficult to estimate its altitude with no reference points
but my estimation is at least 10,000 feet.
-
- In size it was enormous and probably at least ten times
bigger than any aircraft in service at that time. The fuselage appeared
a grey-black colour in the moonlight and there were no lights showing.
It appeared to be constructed from a long thin fuselage and two cross
members of similar width towards the forward end of the fuselage - hence
the two-barred cross of Lorraine shape. The forward cross member was shorter
than the rear cross member. The majority of the fuselage length was to
the rear of the rear cross member.

- The craft was generating no noise and certainly no jet
engine noise but from each end of the rear cross member a long plume of
blue and yellow flame was emitted. The plumes were nearly as long as the
rest of the fuselage. The plumes could imply the craft was in the atmosphere
and burning some form of fuel.

- The craft was travelling in an East to West direction
parallel with the Southern coast of Cyprus. However, since Akrotiri is
a narrow peninsula most of its track would have been over the sea.
-
- We watched it overfly us with amazement and then saw
it accelerate at enormous speed and disappear from view.
-
- Our immediate action was to dash inside my married quarter
and call Air Traffic Control at the base but they had not seen it and had
no trace on their radar. The following day I could not find anyone else
who had witnessed this strange sight.
-
- Our first reaction was not that we had seen a UFO! But
this was during the time of the Cold War and in those days we had no Internet
to research the spacecraft that had been built. We assumed the craft was
a space station built by the Americans or the Russians and that it was
probably burning up after re-entering the Earth's atmosphere. Certainly
it looked like a space station and could have been a mother ship.

- However, over the course of time it was evident from
further investigation that there were no spacecraft of comparable size
and structure around in 1974. Indeed it was much larger than all space
stations which have been in orbit since then.
-
- So the deduction is that what we saw was a UFO and I
now wish to record our observation for posterity. However, as a personal
opinion, I do not feel that this was a UFO manned by extra-terrestrial
beings. Rather I take the view that what we saw in 1974 was a snapshot
of a future time and that the craft was manmade by our successors in the
future.

- This would imply time travel but according to a number
of websites on the Internet (eg <>http://nostradamus.time-loops.net/UFO.htm)
it may be possible for future space travellers to travel back in time using
science and technology which are currently unkown today.

- Description: My husband and I saw 5 huge lights hovering
above the caravan where we were staying. They were so bright, we couldn't
see behind them. There were 2 lights at the top and three lights spaced
out below. They stayed for 30 seconds approx and they abruptly disappeared.
There was NO sound at all, just the huge bright lights. The caravan was
facing the sea, so the lights were facing in from the sea, towards land.
We drove quickly around to a higher vantage point, but saw and heard nothing.

- Full Description of event/sighting: We live in a housing
complex and we each have patios outside. I live in the back of my
building and the woods are about 15 or 20 feet from my front door.
One evening last August just after 11:00p.m. a lady friend and I
were sitting on her patio 2 doors away from mine, my back was to my apartment and
she was facing my apartment. I saw her face drain, her eyes got big
and her mouth fell open. She couldn't speak. I immediately turned
to look and by my patio, just above the trees was a bunch of round
lights, maybe 10, bigger than the headlights on a car. They were on some
type of round object. The object was just sitting there motionless, no
noise, no trees blowing, nothing.

- The lights weren't beaming, so I grabbed my friends
hand and said "c'mon, it's a UFO". It took us maybe 3 seconds
to run to it by my patio. This thing had to see us because it just ever
so gently turned the opposite way and glided away from us. I could've
hit it with a rock!, that's how close it was. I was looking so hard at
this UFO, trying to see a top, a bottom, sides, something, but couldn't.
When it turned to glide away we couldn't see anything, no back at all.
The lights were just in the front and curved halfway around on both
sides. Please contact us, you can come here and you can call. We know what
we saw, we are not delusional but no one here believes us. We would like
to know if any one else has reported this or anything else in the area.

- Upstate New York White Orange Lights Flying Over

- Thursday night, March 20, 2008 we were driving (my
two boys and I) home from church when we spotted two low level white orange
lights flying over a church in the middle of the city coming from the direction
of Canada. We followed them for a few miles until we lost sight of them
in the clouds. Activity is pretty high in upstate New York next to the
Canadian border with Prescott, Ontario.

- Full Description of event/sighting: We were sitting around
outside looking up at the sky chillin' and having a discussion about objects
that we have witnessed seeing in the past. My brother in law was looking
out his window hoping to see "something". He raced out from his
room asking us if we wanted to see something in the sky. I was very surprised
to actually see something, so I ran back into the trailer to get my camera.
I looked at the screen and to my surprise I could see an image, so I snapped
a picture, then about 10 seconds later I snapped another. At first it was
a very bright light which was moving, then the light dimmed and looked
like it was hovering. In total I had 7 of the most amazing pictures that
I have ever seen that's awesome.

- Object appeared as a glowing mass of white light.
- Weather Conditions: Fairly clear night sky.

- Description: I was outside of my house in the Buena Vista
area of the City of Saskatoon, having a cigarette, when I looked up at
the horizon to the south-west/west and saw what appeared to be a star that
was moving.

- After a few seconds I could clearly tell the object was
moving quite rapidly as it traversed a decent amount of the sky. It was
as white as the stars in the sky, but it was much brighter.
-
- I tried to dismiss it as a plane, but for the speed it
was moving across the horizon it would've had to been at low altitude and
there was no audible noise. There were also no wing lights that you
would expect on a plane (ie. Red and Blue flashing).
-
- From the time I saw the object in the south-west, until
it disappeared in the horizon to the South-east/South, the elapsed time
was approximately 1 minute. Its flight path was from one horizon to the
next, and almost directly over-head of my house (slightly angled off to
the south)

- I called one of the other residents of the house to come
see it, and we both agreed it was not a plane.

- The object appeared as a bright white light. The light
was being refracted into a star pattern, with two clearly defined light
spikes coming from the top and poking slightly to the right and left.

- After I lost sight of the object I went back in the house
for approximately two minutes. I then went back outside to find a plane
traveling in the same direction as the object I saw. I could clearly see
it was a plane as it had the beacon lights flashing. I could also hear
a propeller.

they disappeared one more came shooting from the sky and then vanished.
My wife then asked me what I was looking at, and I told her.

1/2 mile away reports she saw the same thing at the same time. It did not
deviate in direction or speed, was definitely not aircraft and too large
for air balloon. I am a skeptic so what on earth was it?!

- Description: I spotted the object last night (July 28th)
and thought I would go out again tonight to see if I could see it again.
It took about 10 minutes before I saw anything, but I noticed what appeared
to be a star to the south. It was fairly low to the horizon and I was looking
at it through power lines. I noticed the movement immediately because it
kept creeping up in my line of sight to the next power line.

- The first one appeared to go straight up until I could
not see it anymore. The light faded out until invisible. When I was first
looking at it, it was at about a 45 degree angle to me. By the time it
dimmed out, my neck was at maximum flex (at least 90 degrees).

- A few minutes later in the South-East I noticed another
moving "star". This one traveled north bound, and when it was
almost immediately above my head, it stopped. I watched it for about 15
minutes, but it did not move and my neck was getting quite sore from staring
up at it, so I went inside.

- As with my previous sighting on the 28th, both of these
objects did not appear to be planes, and were clearly at a very high altitude.
No noise was audible.

- For the first object, it took about 20-40 seconds before
it was too dim to see. The second object traversed from south-east to north
(directly above my head) in about 15 seconds.

- Description: Unidentified lights were seen around the
time of 11:45pm July 29th, 2008 in McGregor Texas. The lights were bright
and appeared to be forming and retracting in random points over the nearby
Hercules naval weapons plant producing solid rocket motors and missiles.
The sighting was viewed by more than 30 people, all on a cigarette break
at the Convergys Building in McGregor. This same building use the belong
to Hercules before being purchased by Dell Computer and then taken over
by the city of McGregor.

- Hi, I read an article about some sightings in Canada
and one particular sighting mentioned blue flashes that lit up the sky.
I'm from south-west England and about 6 months back I was at a friends
in Leonard Stanley, Gloucestershire when I was outside having a cigarette
and I noticed these same flashes. I thought it would have been lightening,
but the thing that's puzzling me is the fact that there was no thunder
or any sound at all. Is there any rational explanation for this? Because I
would like to know. My friends thought it was lightening even though there
was no noise, I think they are just too closed-minded. What is your

- Description: It was around the 5:30 pm working at Exhibhition
Street, when I was told by my work mates that they can see a rainbow
from the nearby window. So from where I was sitting I looked
outside the other window to sight the rainbow. I was looking towards MCG.
And suddenly I saw two orange bright lights whisk past in the sky.
They went by very fast and covered the distance very quickly for any airplane.
From what I could see it wasn't a reflection of anything. It looked
pretty much a object flying at very high speed.

- I am still very surprised at what I saw. So I
told my work mate who was standing nearby the window about this phenomenon
and the place where I saw it. And as I was pointing to the area,
one more bright orange light thing whisked past at a very high speed. Looking
at it, even she was perplexed.

- I am sure, what I saw was an Flying Object, that
cannot be classified as an airplane or rocket. It would be good to know
if anyone else saw it. It's the first time I have seen a UFO, bit
scary and a bit exciting.

- Full Description of event/sighting: There were 5 red
lights in a V formation in the lake in front of our house. I thought they
may be candles floated in honor of BC's 150th but no one I talked to said
any candles were floated. I tried to take a picture but my digital camera
showed only bright white light. I moved the camera to solar lights we
have in the bluff overlooking the lake and sure enough it was dark and
showed the solar lights. The lights were evenly spaced.

- Shellbrook, Saskatchewan UFO Flashes Multiple Colors

- Date: August 2, 2008
- Time: Midnight.

- Location of Sighting: Shellbrook, Saskatchewan Canada.

- Full Description of event/sighting: At midnight on August
2nd 2008, I was visiting my parents in Shellbrook, Saskatchewan for the
weekend. They live on an acreage with a clear view of the sky. I went out
for a cigarette before I went to bed. While I was standing on the front
porch facing west I saw a small light move on a 45 degree angle from a
low position on the southwest horizon to a more west/northwest direction.
The object stopped moving when it reached a height that in relation to
a radio antenna about a mile from my parents home, that was at least 4
times higher than the antenna from my vantage point on the step. The object
began to flash bright multicolored lights including red, blue, green ,orange
and purple. I ran into the house and called my 16 yr old niece to come
out side and look at what I was seeing. I had brought my small pair of
binoculars and I was able to get a better view of the individual colors
and see that the object seemed to be rotating.

- My niece went inside, not comfortable with what
she saw, so I ran back inside and got my mother out of bed to confirm what
I was seeing. She and I continued to watch for 20-30 minutes before we
too became quite uncomfortable and decided to go back inside. This was
a very strange experience and I am a bit concerned about my sighting due
to the fact that over the summer I have been educating myself about this
type of phenomena, Mayan long count calendars, recent deciphered crop circles
etc. This was the last thing I expected to see in North central Saskatchewan.

- One last thing, I normally do not remember my dream states
when sleeping, possibly due to long term SSRI medication, but a day after
the sighting I had a horribly vivid nightmare of my porcelain veneers on
my teeth being separated from my real teeth with some type of instrument
while I lay on a flat surface. I awoke in a panic, sweating and very scared.
I really hope my dream and my sighting are separate events and are not
connected in any way.

- Full Description of event/sighting: Just want to ask
if there were any sightings in this area on Aug 4. I was outside around
(very approx) 9:15pm and saw what I thought was a very bright star. I
noticed it was moving and slightly orange in colour. It was looking up
to the east and it moved south and east from where I first saw it. I was
able to follow it for a good minute. My thoughts were plane or helicopter
but I thought it was too bright. Also saw a plane in the air with the
typical blinking light...but this one did not blink. It appeared to be
getting further away until I could not longer see it either due to cloud
cover and a tree in my view. No idea what it was but did see 2 similar
reports on your blog. Similarly the Napean one is around the same time,
direction and brightness as to what I was seeing. The Hanover report
also has a similarity by explaining it as a satellite moving across the
sky. That is how I would describe the speed and direction but I agree
it was much too bright. Thank-you.

- Severn Region, Ontario UFO With Three Emerald Colored
Lights

- Hi Brian! I hope you feel better. At night, around
11:00 pm, on Sunday August 3, 2008, while we were boating on the Severn
Region, I saw an object with three green (emerald colour) lights with one
small red light beside one of the lights. The lights were not flashing
and form a triangle; it was flying from north to northeast in a low altitude.
I lost view because of the trees after some seconds. There was
no sound. Regards.

- Saskatoon, Saskatchewan A Strange And Unknown Flashing
In The Sky

- Time: Approx: 9:30 p.m.

- Hi, Brian, I've been sitting out on the patio in my back
yard, facing north, this evening. After a hard day, I thought it might
be nice to sit and enjoy a small pot of tea as the air cools and the night
sets in. I first went out at twilight, around 9:30. I have a good view
of the eastern and northern sky. Portions of the western sky are blocked
by trees. My house blocks the southern sky. Directly overhead was one of
the bright stars of the constellation Draco, the first star in my field
of view bright enough to be visible. It was still too bright out for other
stars to be visible. As I relaxed and watched the sky, I thought I saw
a flash or twinkle in the northern sky, almost due north, about 40 degrees
up. Perhaps the sun glinting off a satellite, I thought, or maybe the navigation
lights of a high-altitude jet aircraft crossing the country. Intrigued,
I scanned for signs of an aircraft. About half a minute later, I saw it
again, in exactly the same place. That ruled out a plane a satellite or,
at least, the same plane or satellite, but what are the chances of two
of either reaching that same spot within half a minute? Could be my eyes
playing a trick on me, can't rule that out. Half a minute or so later,
another flash or twinkle. A few minutes later, same thing. Always in exactly
the same spot, near as I could tell.

- I got distracted for awhile by some things in the yard
and inside the house, but was back watching the sky a little before 10:00.
By that time, it's dark enough that I could make out more stars. There
was no star visible where I saw the twinkle. There would be a couple of
stars in the constellation Camelopardalis that would be visible in that
area most nights, but it's still too light out to see any stars around
there at 10:00. Toward the northeast, one of the brighter stars of Cassiopeia
was now visible. Further east, I saw a light aircraft with flashing navigation
lights flying level, headed due west. I watched the small plane cruise
through the sky, noticing that there's another small plane flying a parallel
path to the south. I figure one of them, probably the slower and more southerly
one, is Saskatoon's police patrol plane, which is out most nights. The
more northerly plane approached the part of the sky where I saw the strange
twinkling earlier. Suddenly there was another flash of light from the same
spot as before, but this time it was much brighter. The shape was not like
a twinkling star, but more like a line or thin cylinder or dumbbell kind
of shape, consisting of two very bright twinkly points, shining momentarily
like sparklers on a birthday cake, with a straight, thin bright or shiny
line joining them. The two bright points were maybe three degrees apart,
about the width of my little finger at arm's length. The phenomenon lasted
only a fraction of a second, maybe an eighth to a quarter of a second at
most, but long enough that it was unmistakable. It made me jump. I watched
the sky for several minutes, but did not see any other twinkles or flashes.
Frankly, the whole episode began creeping me out once the bright flash
occurred, and I packed up my tea and lawn chair and came into the house
by about 10:15.

- For what it's worth, nights when I work late in my office,
which has a north-facing window, I am sometimes distracted by flashes of
light coming from that part of the sky. I've always assumed it was just
my eyes playing tricks on me or, more likely, the sides of my eyeglasses
reflecting various light sources within my office. That is still the most
plausible explanation, but now I'm not so sure. By the way, there were
no sources of light outside that could have caused reflections in my glasses
outside this evening. What I saw in the sky definitely was really there.

- If I'm feeling less creeped out, in a little while, I
might go set up my camera on a tripod just to go shoot that area of the
sky. Perhaps if I'm lucky, I might get a shot of that phenomenon.

- St. Martins, New Brunswick A Half Moon Shaped UFO

- Full Description of event/sighting: An orangey white
object, the size of a half moon flashed towards the ocean and flew
only horizontally for 3 - 4 seconds, fast. It was absolutely silent
then disappeared instantly, very close to me, approximately 1/2 mile.

- Full Description of event/sighting: On Thursday, August
7, 2008 I was watching the sunset on Wasaga beach. It was a clear and beautiful
sunset. Just after the sun past the horizon I looked right, past the lighthouse.
I must say it was a few miles. I had my binoculars. I noticed a cigar shaped
"cloud". When I looked closer it wasn't a cloud. The clouds that
were out were pink and fluffy. This seemed solid. I thought it might have
been the entrail of a jet but it didn't move, or so thought. As I watched
it, it changed from a cigar to almost round, then cigar like again.
I am no UFO buff or believer in any way. Or should I say nuts. So
after a few minutes I asked people walking past what they thought. All
said the same thing when they looked through the glasses, "what the
heck is that". I stayed with it for several more mins (15). What I
definitely concluded was that it move with the horizon, like the sun. The
clouds stayed put but this set like the sun until it was gone. I have no
idea what it was. Out of thus world? Knowing how our government and the
US act it probably was very earthly.

ring on top at each end.

- Full Description of event/sighting: Object was sighted
from Moosehorn Lodge by myself, my son, and my grandson. It was hovering
over the hills south of Uncha Lake. I ran inside to get the lodge owner
but when we came back out it was gone. My son said it had moved south
and disappeared over the hills.

- I called the witness up as this sighting is a local sighting
for my area. The fellow said the object/UFO just floated along. Also it
would have been dark at the time of the sighting, so the entire object
which was observed was all lit of in an orange color. He said it appeared
to look like upside down wagon. (Meaning round rings of light at either
side of the platform). He guessed that the object may have been anywhere
from 200 to 500 feet in length. There was no sound heard at all, totally
silent.

- Full Description of event/sighting: Myself and two friends
we biking about 2:30 - 3:00 am along a side road off from where we were
camping at the Mindemoya cottages. We came along the road and happened
to stop at the side of the road beside a field. We were looking up at the
stars for about five or so minutes. We were all looking at the same constellation,
we pointed out what was two bright white lights, nothing like anything
else in the sky that travelled apart from each other at a speed like
no plane. They then stopped and came back toward each other at the same
speed and stopped at a distance away from one another and appeared to do
some what of a formation like "dancing" motions.

- They then travelled away from each other once again at
a blinding speed and the one that was on the left of where we were looking
disappeared into the sky upwards and the one on the right started to move
around up and down side to side for about 1 min or so then changed colors
then shot back into the night sky. It was the most craziest thing I've
ever saw. I still cannot believe it even though what me and my brother
and friend explained to some people they did not believe it but we all
know what we saw and for 3 different people to all explain the same story
is no lie. That's all I have to say about this incident, can't say
much more that that. Thanks.

out through my window when I saw three orange spheres in a triangle
formation that I thought was a firework at first. This formation then
proceeded to come towards my house and was absolutely silent. I ran
out to my garden in time to see the three spheres pass over and disappear,
still silently.

- Location of Sighting: Highway 642, SE of Sioux Lookout.

- Shape of objects: Circular/disc shape.

- Full Description of event/sighting: I was driving towards
Sioux Lookout on highway 642, which is a small highway. Approximately,
halfway between Silver Dollar and Sioux Lookout, the circular object appeared
in front of us. The object had 2 bright lights underneath, they were a
bright yellow/white colour. The lights were pretty large, considering the
size of the object, they almost lit up the whole underside, however, the
lights were too bright to see if the object had a certain colour. The lights
were also pulsing. Pretty much, from bright to brighter. We were travelling
85km/h and heading NW. The object was a few hundred meters up, my guess
is between 500-600 meters. It was heading SE and we just crossed paths.
I quickly checked the time to establish the time of the sighting.

- However, when the object came into view, it began to
move left and right while still proceeding SE. The movement I would describe
as snake like, it went right, left, right, left. I was coming up a hill
and I kept glancing over at it to try and get a good, hard look at it.
However, I was too scared to stop my vehicle and observe it.

- The sun was almost set and there were only a few clouds
in the sky. There were only a few stars out because it wasn't dark enough
yet to see all of them. From when I saw the object to when I reached town
limits was 25 minutes.

- I just read the post and I noticed a mistake in my initial
report. I was driving NW. I stated that the object was flying SE.

- "The object was a few hundred meters up....It was
heading SE and we just crossed paths."

- The object was flying Southwest. And that's how we crossed
paths and it appeared in front of us. And it continued in that general
direction until we lost it behind trees. The amount of time that the object
was in view was 10-15 seconds. My passenger was able to see the object
in a bit more detail than I was able to, however, she is unwilling to say
much.

- My passenger did state to me that there were a few more
smaller lights, of the same colour, lined along the upper portion of the
object. In my rough diagram, you can see a raised portion, and this is
where she states there were about 6 smaller lights lined and spaced apart
(I did not include in the diagram).

- Hello Brian, last night I witnessed around 11:00 pm last
night a white light over Prescott near the direction of the international
bridge. I always look out of my window before I go to bed and sure enough
I spotted a light over the St. Law River it came from no where got dim
and then really bright and just disappeared. duration was only a minute
or less.

- Parlee Beach, New Brunswick A Bright Yellow/Orange Object

- Time: Approx: 12:20 a.m.

- Shape of objects: Bright yellow/orange "star".

- Full Description of event/sighting: My husband and I
love to go stargazing as often as possible, but last week of July and all
of August so far has been rainy or cloudy. So on Wednesday night the weather
cleared and it was a starlit sky with no wind, perfect for stargazing,
so off we went to the beach. We left at about 11:00 pm. We sat on the sand
and took out our flashlights, binoculars and some flares that you light.
We saw a few planes at high altitude. As we both were observing the sky
at about 12:20 am my husband noticed a very bright star to the east of
where we were sitting. There are cottages along the cliffs off in the distance
and the bright star was positioned above them.

- He said, "that's a planet", but I thought it
looked more like a star because it was twinkling and bright. I took my
flashlight and did a Morse code thing towards it and my husband lit a flare
and started to wave it in the same direction. I always ask for a show.
When the flare burnt out my husband was trying
- to light another flare while I was observing the sky
at the same time. Suddenly something caught my eye in the west, so I looked
up and saw a very bright yellowy with an orange hue "star" moving
very slowly from east to west when it suddenly grew in size and brightness,
stopped and shrunk then suddenly vanished. I thought my husband was
watching and said wow, did you see that? He said no, I'm trying to light
the flare. I said if I say wow, look up because you missed it. So
I looked over towards the cottages and the bright "star"or "planet"
was gone. The show lasted 3 or 4 seconds, but it was exciting. What a rush.
It was worth the long wait for good weather. To be continued, I hope.
