- WASHINGTON -- Hustler publisher Larry Flynt is printing his bombshell expose
on Washington politicians as a separate one-shot magazine called The Flynt
Report. Kevork Djansezian/AP Magazine sources said that the Flynt Report
will feature full-blown color spreads of the parties involved in the Livingston
sex scandal.
-
- He won't put the Hustler logo anywhere
on the publication, which he expects will sell in the millions when it
hits the market in about three weeks.
-
- Hustler staffers uncovered several extramarital
affairs of Congressman Bob Livingston, forcing him to give up his bid to
become leader of the Republican-controlled House of Representatives that
impeached President Clinton over a sex scandal.
-
- Magazine sources said that the Flynt
Report will feature full-blown color spreads of the parties involved in
the Livingston sex scandal "and others of Washington figures"
but it won't be sexually sordid.
-
- "This will be careful reportage,"
a staffer said.
-
- Flynt and his staff hadn't determined
the cover price or the size of the printing, but a source said the press
run would exceed well over 1 million copies.
-
- Distribution may also be expanded to
include book stores and other retail outlets, the source said.
-
- Flynt decided to make a stand-alone title
of the Livingston revelations because he could get it out sooner than Hustler
magazine, which has a three month lead-time. "We wouldn't be able
to get it out any sooner than the March issue of Hustler," the source
said.
