Would You PAY To Be Spied On? |

Clever AI desktop robots are available for amusement, which comprehend your voice and appear to "think" and react. The EMO AI robot shown above is one such device among several available. Desktop robots are amusing and very life like on the surface. These devices waddle or roll (some robots have wheels to move around) back to their charging station, then appear to drop off to sleep. They do tricks, dancing etc...Sensors which detect when someone is stroking them and respond to it, addicting the owner and creating a false bond to it. These robots recognize your voice and face. You may be wondering how could any manufacturer could cram AI, a ton of memory, electronics, a display, motors, a camera, microphones and a rechargeable battery into a robot only 2.4 INCHES (six centimeters) TALL. Real truth? These robots do NOT have resident AI. These devices use Wi-Fi to connect to a powerful AI computer at the manufacturer (or perhaps a Chinese or other intelligence agency somewhere in the world.) Essentially, these robots are glorified automatic two-way computer terminals just like your smart phone is. But with this device, you really never know who or what is at the other end of the Wi-Fi connection. These devices have a hidden, wide field video camera and wide-field microphone array. This a sensitive array similar to what Echo or Alexa devices have inside. These robots can easily be remotely, silently activated and watch/listen to you and others. Isn't that a comforting thought? If you are not disturbed by these facts, then you must be someone who places no value on privacy. You may think, "I have an easy fix for privacy. I simply won't let it connect to the internet." Yes, you could do that. When you set it up, it will require you to provide your Wi-Fi access information. Isolated from the web, EMO shown above will only walk around like a zombie and no longer be intelligent. It is still possible the camera and/or microphone array can be recording and send data to a remote computer whenever Wi-Fi becomes available. It is already known to start itself up and walk at what appear to be random times. When it detects the room is empty, it has all the hardware needed to video the desk environment and documents on your desk around it. Video capture what's on your computer screen, watch you type in your usernames/passwords on your keyboard, read your emails, texts, pictures or designs off a computer screen and much more. Even though EMO is just 2.4 inches tall, it is more than tall enough to video the keys on your keyboard while you type. When the EMO robot walks around, its movement could easily be remotely controlled by unknown personnel or the connected AI computer. Videos of EMO connected to Wi-Fi show its bizarre movements are used to express artificial feelings. But perhaps these movements are hiding it capturing video/sound of your home or office at the same time. Paranoia? Not at all. A desktop device like this has more than enough sensors to detect whenever it is alone. It could video documents on your desktop at any time, sending them to the remote AI computer without your knowledge. This device is without doubt an ideal asset for any enemy government or intelligence agency to monitor. NSA and other agencies should ban this device both at the homes of agency personnel and in an agency office. This is a genuine, high risk security threat. It can be spying on you in your home or your office while amusing you pretending to be your friend. It returns to its charging base shown above whenever the battery needs recharging, or will do so on your voice command. Even though EMO may appear to be asleep while recharging, it may be awake. There is no real way to know for certain. It can listen to you while talking on the phone, or whenever you place an order and speak your credit card info. Or watch you type in your card info on a computer keyboard. Everyone this year had been focused on spyware Tik-Tock. Spying capabilities of a device like this while connected to a powerful remote computer make Tik-Tock obsolete. Planning to buy one of these or something similar? You should keep in mind your privacy goes out the window when using a device like this. It might make you re-think your routine of sitting at your computer in your underwear...or entering the room wherever this device is located. |
