Here are just a handful grabbed at random: KARL - This weighs heavy on my heart. ANATOLIY in Moscow - The enemy doesn't want you to sleep. STEVE - Totally disgusted and I'm betting a strong beer that it was deliberate, same kind of WOKE warriors who deface or destroy monuments. They probably think they are some kind of hero. ANON from Germany - They're doing the same damned thing with the suspect as they do with islamists after murders. "Psychisch Krankenheit". They try to pass it off as mental problems. I've see that so many times over the years regarding murderous muslims in Germany that the only conclusion is that islam is a mental illness. SID AUST - I am so saddened by this. This tragedy not only affects tourists but think of the employees are out of work besides all the money lost in this tragedy and WHY? WHY? WHY? You can't eliminate history by destroying in. I pray it can be restored. MARTIN - I'm surprised there was no security at Eagle's Nest. ANON in the USA - Heartbreakingly infuriating!!! Thank you for sending this out! As expected, the news isn't covering any of this news and I don't think I would have heard about this otherwise. I'm glad I got to see it in person a decade ago before all the 3rd worlders were let in to decimate Europe by Merkel and her traitorous communist ilk. HECTOR in Argentina - Today I was surprised when I read the news regarding the fire on the Eagle's Nest!!! Very sad news ..... a huge part of history which disappeared !!!!! What disgusting news. JEFF - Yep .... Bolshevik communists ..... same old group. GARY - No security? No cameras? Seems a bit questionable. GEOFF - Here are the latest from BegaFilm, including the interior. It's horrible, but honestly not as bad as I had expected. Among to see some of the bronze light fixtures still there, and especially the pine paneling in the Scharitzkehl zimmer. DAVID in England - Many friends commented and were disgusted. SCOTT - I've been thinking about this - SO profoundly sad. The stupid indoctrination around destroying all things historic is what made this happen. How Could it Happen? Where was the Security? These are the two biggest questions now. SECURITY - Although this place is extremely valuable to history, it is not treated like any other historical place as we know it here. It is leased out to the Berchtesgaden Hofbräuhaus as a restaurant, so after the last meal is served, the dishes washed and the place cleaned up, they turn the key in the lock, go down in the elevator and go home and to bed in the village. In the morning, the staff gets on the early elevator, goes up and begins the next day just like the restaurant down the street from your house. I've been on that first elevator myself and saw them all just going to work. Nobody there overnight. HOW - People ask how an arsonist get the final 400 feet when there is no one to operate the elevator and that's the only way up from the parking lot. NOT SO. There is a hiking trail from the parking lot up to the Eagle's Nest and when we are there, some of our group walk it. SUSPECT - the Bavarian police have a suspect in custody; caught him riding his motorcycle down the road that only goes to Eagle's Nest and it is more than likely that he is the torch. However, they have not released his name which has some wondering if they do not want people to know his ethnicity. REBUILD - At this point in time, the Bavarian government is fully in favor of rebuilding Eagle's Nest and historical value aside - this is a license to print money! We calculate that each person who visits Eagle's Nest will spend about $100 there - bus ride, admission, meal, souvenirs etc. The elevator can hold 40 people but let's just figure half full - that's $2,000 for each trip and the elevator mates the trip every sixty seconds. That is a whole lot of money over each day ..... over the eight months of operation. ADDITIONAL - If any more really important data comes up, we'll let you know but it would appear that this is as much as we will know for a while. So terribly sad!
