Destruction Of The Fanatic Israeli State

The attempt by Israeli state to militarily preempt Iran with the full support of U.S. President Donald Trump (whose father was Jewish) is an appalling farce that has backfired with probable damage to its main nuclear reactor at Dimona. Thousands of Israeli Jews have departed after spending months in underground bunkers since the destruction of Palestinian communities throughout the Gaza Strip. The brutally vindictive policy has been "Ten Eyes for an Eye" - unacceptable to any religious tradition, especially among the three major faiths of the region - Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Here I make the beginning of a plea for Christian intervention against the crazed Israeli leadership and its wilting state with the longer-term aim of restoring the Holy Land for believers and followers of the those three religions. My early childhood dreams were of being a medieval Christian knight on horseback in the quest for recovery of the Holy Land. That was before enrollment in Holy Names academy – run by strict nuns – in Los Angeles and my early teen years at the Marist School in Kobe, Japan. My father’s Protestant church through Sunday school lessons provided the inspiration for that imaginary journey to the land of Jesus and his disciples and, of course, much earlier the sighting by Moses of the Promised Land, which was achieved by his warrior disciple Joshua. However faraway, the biblical accounts filtered through our French, German, Spanish and Basque teachers provided with a European medieval perspective centered on the 9 major crusades along with many lesser attempts to recover the Holy Land – or at least some part of the sacred ground - from Islamic control. Whatever one’s religious affiliation the Crusades were clearly a bold, brave and titanic effort – and often cruel, partisan and biased - campaign to restore the sacredness of the Promised Land or land of milk and honey, have you will, accessible to all pilgrims. Taken a long step further into the modern industrial era, the sacrifices of the Crusades reinforced the notion that the Holy Land should be a place of worship to all believers in the faith – Christians yes, even descendants of the awful Romans, Muslims in peace, and Jews, well, those who did not rejoice at the Crucifixion. Begrudging, yes, Christianity nowadays has an openness to the notion of a shared Holy Land with special sites of interest to each branch of monotheism rooted in that history. One of my favorite accounts of Holy Land the modern era is T.E. Lawrence’s “The Seven Pillars of Wisdom”, which describes his adventures as a British officer and adviser to the Arab Rebellion against Turkish rule and German occupation of Palestine in World War I. The brutality of that struggle for regional independence remains the textbook for primitive guerrilla warfare against a technological modern foe. Notably in a very short passage, Lawrence mentioned Lord Rothschild as a new factor in the struggle for Palestine – without a howl of drama, prediction or premonition of the imposition of a racist bigoted religious authority over the Holy Land also of Christians and Islamists. With politicized bribery and media propaganda – and howls of outrage over the WWII labor camps – the Rothschild cabal got sole rights to Palestine – the homeland of Jesus and his Christian followers along with adherents of the Prophet Mohammed (who as their tradition had it ascended to heaven from Jerusalem). Ascension, of course, is a vital part of Christian lore, where one believes ascent as a fact or as metaphor for a return to the heart of divinity. The Jewish narrative in historical terms far more difficult to justify, especially the homosexual fanaticism of Zealotry in the legally strict Roman era that resulted in the expulsion of the Jews from the Holy Land. Jewish attempts in Rome to corrupt the Christian church, and of course the pox of usury aka money-lending in medieval and modern Europe in violation of banking law. The arrogance of Jewish notions of religious and secular superiority over other religious and racial groups is, frankly put, appalling and insulting to a multicultural world community. By contrast a once repressive Christian Church has promoted the sharing of faith between differing sects and traditions, and in many places have reached out to Buddhist movements – as also children of God deserving of Divine protection and care. My personal reason for objection to Jewish dominance over Palestine is the hideous sexual perversion and promiscuity as practiced by younger Jews without a peep of objection from their elders, including rabbis. Degeneracy is improper in the public space and near houses of worship, yet the whole world saw televised the scantily clad carousers who, basically, triggered the angry Palestinian assault on their diabolical festivities. There is a certain code of behavior and civility in a multi-religious society (which Americans, Europeans and Asians are well aware of). This habit of disregard of the moral code of others was indeed a major trigger for the Roman demand for a diaspora to primitive conditions outside of the imperial borders. From the commercialization of Christmas to availability of pornography to children, it’s always “the usual suspects” – aka filth. While their out-of-control youngsters are having fun violating the moral ethos and sanctity of the Holy Land, others among us are forced to defer a long-desired visit to the Holy Land, a zone of contemplation, historical study and the quest for forgiveness of one’s past bad behavior. An analogy – perhaps by now outdated for environmental reasons – is the symbolism of cleansing away of our sins in the River Jordan as practiced by John the Baptist. It is disturbing to think that contemporary Israel is no longer the land of the patriarch of monotheism Abraham – but now has degenerated into the party room of Salome. Perhaps it will be an unanticipated great flood of the River Jordan that will awaken the population to the sinfulness of their self-proclaimed “homeland” (with its very sparse authentic Semitic-bloodline population – most being partly Turkic, Polish and German Eastern European). Contemporary Israel is a big lie, now being blasted from the sky and probably covering up a major nuclear disaster – far from Heaven and sinking into the pit of Hell. Moral authenticity is key to restoring the pride and traditions of the Promised Land. The restoration of the Promised Land of Moses, Jesus and Mohammed is up to Christians and Muslims to toil together in friendship and regather many strands of a common faith. It can only be hope that honest and sensible Jews might break away from the perversion of Judaism by the current Israeli regime and join their sisters and brothers in humble yet proud service of the universal creator. |
