A Tony Williams Fan Posted This...

Tony Williams lived in the Baldwin Hills section of Los Angeles. We used to see him often around the neighborhood. I was in high school in the late 1960's when I lived in that section of the city. Mr. Williams was known to be a very humble and kind man. He always had something uplifting and positive to say.

When a bunch of us graduated from high school that year, he congratulated us and encouraged us to pursue our dreams and never give up. Then he paid for our lunch, Bought his newspaper and told us he was proud of us, as he walked out the cafe. I'll never forget him.

His daughter, Bernadette was also a lovely person and very beautiful. Mr. Williams was a class act. Every time I hear him sing, I get teary. It brings back wonderful memories of my childhood and what a gentleman Tony Williams was.
