The Cartels Are After CBP Families

It's not bad enough that the Biden Administration has made the southern U.S. border as porous as a fishing net, the southern cartels are trying to eliminate it altogether by eliminating the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Agents. Stories have popped up from time to time of cartels or illegal migrants attacking and sometimes killing border agents.

Just last month Former Rep. Mayra Flores of Texas posted a picture of a border patrol agent was bloodied in an attack by a migrant cartel informer who had the word "RAT" carved into his forehead. "This is the type of violence that is being exerted on Border Patrol Agents by those who don't want to be apprehended,"  she wrote .

Now, their families need to watch their backs. John Basham posted on X (formerly Twitter), "BREAKING: @CBP Has Issued An Alert To Agents Along The Southern #UnitedStates Border As #Mexico's Narco-Terrorists Are Now Targeting Border Patrol Agents & Their Families. The Cartels Are Reportedly Issuing Rewards For Addresses Of Agents & Their Families! THIS IS WAR!" He also posted a picture that showed a list of what appears to be other posts that say things like, "$200 your way if you get me a border patrol agent's address," "$1k if you get me they mommas address," and "I'll post us torturing any bp agent u send."

When the news first came out, people were quick to call it "fake news." However, Law Enforcement Today wrote in their report that they had "independently confirmed this alert with our contacts in both federal law enforcement and the National Border Patrol Council."

The cartels are quickly becoming America's Hamas in that they don't care whether their victims are innocent or not as long as it helps further their goals.

While border patrol agents know that they are in a high-risk profession and might have to put their lives on the line during the course of their work, their families should not have to worry about losing their lives because they are related to a border patrol agent. The agents themselves shouldn't have to worry about it when they are off the clock.

"This appears to be a side-effect of the Biden administration's decision to open the southern border, allowing any illegal alien, including cartel members, to  enter the country unabated . It has been widely reported that Mexican drug cartels are better armed than border patrol agents and have taken the unwritten invitation by the administration to gain a virtual stranglehold on the border," Law Enforcement Today reported.

The lax security on the southern border has allowed the cartels to expand their market in the U.S. and enrich themselves. They don't want to lose that and have chosen to mimic terrorists and go after innocent civilians to achieve their goals.

This is just another reason why we need to protect our borders and show the cartels we are serious about it. If their newest intimidation tactic is successful, it will further weaken security along the border, which is bad news for all of us.
