My comic book collection was started in 1958, when I began to read very early Marvel, and from some of my earlier childhood comics. It included more rare period comics, like n Zap and Mother’s Oat.

My weekly trips to comic stores began in Seattle’s first (and only) comic store, located in The Pike Street Market, level 4 (closed toward the basement). There were 8 Levdels toi this complex, opening at Elliot Ave. The store later moved located to the public, level 2.

When I moved to Grants Pass, in 1984, I then went to Medford’s only comic store, Beyond Comic. At that time, my primary interests were Conan (and related side-bars, like Red Sonya), and (of course), The Occult. I even began collecting Hellblazer (England), before Dark Horse Press moved it to Portland (Constantine).

With more than 10 long boxes, and 12 short, my collect was appraised at $ 37,249.55, in 2019. Today, it is valued at more than $50.000, when sold at a wholesale comic store (bulk). It is impossible to ship, due to the large quantity of comics, and whomever is interested, must make a visit to Grants Pass, OR for a physical pick-up.
