Today with sugar taxes and people believing the obesity epidemic is only due to this, manufacturers are substituting sugar for aspartame. While its true some overuse sugar a definite obesity epidemic is caused by aspartame.  It was known from the beginning when the  soda pop companies  (NSDA, now American Beverage)  protested using Dr. Richard Wurtman's affidavit stating aspartame causes you to crave carbohydrates so you have a diet product causing you to gain weight.  https://rense.com/general96/pepsi.htm

For years we've tried to get aspartame banned.  Dr. Woodrow Monte took the issue of aspartame and seizures and blindness all the way to the Supreme Court even though they wouldn't hear it.  This is the power of industry we fight.  12 toxicologists also asked the FDA to ban it because it causes cancer.  Dr. Ken Stoller and myself have tried to get it banned as well as others.

It's hard to avoid so writing your letter can help in warning your family and friends.  Lane Shore, Mission Possible Chicago, told me recently he has lost 22 members of his family from aspartame.  Regarding Senator John McCain

Because it is well known today  aspartame causes malignant brain tumors several have asked if Senator John McCain used it.   He died of a glioblastoma.  Aspartame in original studies produced astrocytomas and malignant brain tumors.  A four stage astrocytoma is a glioblastoma. 

Unfortunately a lot of politicians use this toxin.  Even the President of the United States, Donald Trump, was said to use 12 Diet Cokes a day by the New York Times.    It was Hillary Clinton's favorite drink and accounts for her medical problems which are well known aspartame problems. 

 In an article  published by the National Health Federation, "No Safe Dose of Aspartame" - https://thenhf.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/HFN_2012-2.pdf you will notice even the FDA (Top scientist in the investigation of aspartame, Dr. Adrian Gross) admitted aspartame was on the market illegally because it caused brain tumors and brain cancer.  As to violating the law he said, "And if the FDA violates its own laws who is left to protect the public?"  He was writing about the Delaney Amendment which forbids using anything  you know will cause cancer. 

The FDA Board of Inquiry revoked the petition for approval based on the fact  aspartame could not be proven safe and caused brain tumors. The molecule breaks down to diketopiperazine, the brain tumor agent.   Donald Rumsfeld is responsible for this chemical poison being marketed for human consumption with the help of President Ronald Reagan who wrote an executive order  which forbid  the Board of Inquiry from signing the revoked petition into law.  He also fired the FDA Commissioner, Dr. Jere Goyan.  He is dead now but his wife told me Dr. Goyan would have never allowed aspartame to be approved.  Here is a letter Mrs. Goyan wrote me for confirmation.

 Jere E. Goyan, Ph.D., who was Commissioner of the FDA in 1980, was at my condominium in Novato, California when he received the call from the Reagan transition team. My recollection is that is was 3 AM and the woman's name was Mary Francis Wright. Dr. Goyan told me that she told him that his services were no longer needed and that he needed to have his letter of resignation to Mr. Reagan on Inauguration day. He said that he was also told to vacate his office before the Inauguration as that Mr. Reagan wanted to make it clear that there was going to be changes.

Mark Novitvh, MD, was appointed acting Commissioner and Dr. Goyan was to stay for a month to help with the transition. He later told me that he was never consulted about anything after Inauguration day. I have heard from various sources that Rumsfeld was quoted as saying that "Goyan must go". I have also heard that the reason that Dr. Goyan became the first Commissioner to be fired at the change of an administration is that Rumsfeld was concerned that he would not approve aspartame because of his position on cyclamate. I have heard that there was an executive order from the White House concerning aspartame after Dr, Goyan resigned. I have no direct knowledge about the Rumsfeld quote or concern or the executive order.

Dr. H. J. Roberts who wrote "Aspartame Disease: An Ignored Epidemic" , www.amazon.com  often discussed that if one person in the family uses aspartame usually other members will use it also. 

As an example, Michael Douglas uses diet drinks and had throat cancer.  His wife suffers from bipolar or manic depression which is a big time problem with aspartame because of the depletion of serotonin.  I sent them a packet of information  to their home in New York. 

Hopefully if someone knows McCain's daughter they will pass on this information to prevent another brain tumor or some of the other  gruesome diseases triggered or precipitated by the chemical poison and carcinogen aspartame. 

In the November 1996 issue of the Journal of Neuropathology and Experimental Neurology, John Olney, MD and his colleagues Nuri Farber, M.D., Edward Spitznagel, Ph.D. and Lee Robins, Ph.D. all from Washington University in St. Louis, reported that brain tumor rates had risen in the US over the past 17 years.  Dr. Olney and Attorney James Turner tried to prevent approval of aspartame.  In the documentary, "Sweet Misery: A Poisoned World"  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZI7_8FDzuJE  Mr. Turner discusses how Donald Rumsfeld got aspartame approved. 

Here are a few further remarks in this article on aspartame and malignant brain cancer.

Dr. John Olney who founded the field of neuroscience called excitotoxicity has now passed on. Dr. Russell Blaylock wrote the book on it, "Excitotoxins: The Taste That Kills".    Finally Dr. Peter Nunn did a study at Kings College in England.  Monsanto vehemently denied it could cause brain tumors because aspartame doesn't get in the blood which, of course, it does.  I answered Monsanto proving they were wrong in this article.  http://www.wnho.net/answering_monsantos_denial.htm 

 It's of interest that the safe food people in Japan sent my article to Ajinomoto who owned the company at the time and they said they were not going to answer it.  Obviously they couldn't.

So what happened with the study at Kings College by neurochemist Dr. Peter Nunn and Geoffrey Pilkingtton.  The last information I obtained on the study was this statement:   "When we exposed human brain tumor cells to nitrosated DKP the cells became more motile and their rate of proliferation was significantly elevated. While it is somewhat early to speculate, it is possible that the aspartame breakdown product may be capable of enhancing the rate of malignant progression of pre-existing (and possibly clinically silent, undiagnosed) tumours in the brain."

This agrees with Dr. John Olney.

In l996 Dr. John Olney made world news over the Aspartame brain tumor association. Increasing Brain Tumor Rates: Is There a Link to Aspartame? J. Neuropath Exp Neurol, Vol 55, Nov & Dec issues. Dr. Olney discusses the aspartame molecule acquires mutagenic activity when nitrosated and this provides a clue to a possible mechanism by which aspartame could cause brain tumors. He says: "Nitrosation of aspartame or its diketopiperazine breakdown product could result in a nitrosourea-like molecule, and nitrosoureas are THE MOST EFFECTIVE AGENTS KNOWN for producing MALIGNANT BRAIN TUMORS in experimental animals. Some nitrosoureas have broad spectrum carcinogenicity and can induce cancer in both the CNS and several other organs, but other members of this family, particularly alkylated nitrosoureas are organo-specific for the CNS. These agents can act by a direct and relatively rapid mechanism to induce brain tumors, when administered systemically to adult rats. In addition, they are particularly potent in acting by a delayed mechanism involving in utero exposure of the fetus and resulting in a high incidence of malignant brain tumors which do not manifest until adulthood. The malignant tumors induced by either the direct or delayed mechanism are not typically of the childhood type (i.e. medulloblastoma) but rather are predominantly adult tumors (e. g. astrocytomas, glioblastomas, mixed gliomas, oligo-dendrogliomas). Thus, it may be significant that the recent surge in human brain tumor rates involved these various adult types of tumors, whereas childhood medulloblastoma was the singular tumor type that showed no increase."

An informant in England told me  Monsanto people were at Kings College desperate to find what was going on in the study.  Knowing that the study was beginning to show the same findings as Dr. Olney discovered I wondered how they would stop the results of the study from getting to the public.  This is a study the world was looking to find out if again like in original studies aspartame is responsible for the increase in brain tumors.  It should have been peer reviewed and on the front page of newspapers.  Instead it was never published and there have never been any comments from Dr. Peter Nunn. The aspartame industry had to have something to tell the public who would wonder why it wasn't published, and they made some statement saying something about not appearing to interact with cellular macromolecules or cause DNA damage.

In reality aspartame does cause DNA damage and this was proven by Dr/ M. Alemany who did the Trocho Study.  
Formaldehyde Derived From Dietary Aspartame Binds To Tissue In Vivo  In reading the study also notice that aspartame embalms living tissue.  In a book by Dr. Woodrow Monte, "While Science Sleeps: A Sweetener Kills", www.whilesciencesleeps.com  it explains the formaldehyde turns the tissues to plastic.  He also has a whole chapter on aspartame and cancer.  Incredible medical text which really exposes the deadly methanol.

In original studies G. D. Searle got caught with their pants down when they started excising brain tumors from the rats, putting them back in the study and then resurrecting them on paper.  This is just one of the reasons the FDA tried to have the manufacturer indicted for fraud. Both U.S. Prosecutors hired on with the defense team and the statute of limitations expired.    The aspartame industry has for years released nothing but propaganda so that even physicians have no idea that aspartame which is a neurotoxic drug rather than additive interacts with drugs and vaccines.

Dr. H. J. Roberts wrote In the Journal of Advancement in Medicine, Volume 4, Number 4, Winter 1991, Does Aspartame cause Human Brain Cancer  Dr. H. J. Roberts said:

"The increasing frequency of primary brain lymphoma of B cell derivation - including reticulum cell sarcoma, microglioma and histiocytic lymphoma - also requires explanation because this subset was previously rare. Eby et al all reported a nearly threefold rise in its incidence among immunologically normal persons in the l982-l84 SEER data, which they could not explain..."

Dr. Roberts also said that "Hockberg and Miller reported a tripling of incidence of this tumor in non-immunosuppressed persons during the 5 year interval between l980 and l984."

It was Dr. H. J. Roberts who  wrote the 1000 page  medical text:  "Aspartame Disease: An Ignored Epidemic" www.mpwhi.com  but he wrote it in 2001 before the Renowned  Ramazzini Institute did three studies showing aspartame to be a multipotential carcinogen, and before Harvard did a study showing the link to cancer saying theirs was the longest and strongest. FDA as usual ignored them all.

He was writing about how more sensitive humans are than animals when it comes to aspartame and said:

" Humans are five times more sensitive to this toxin (called an excitotoxin) than are mice, the animals used in the original study.

"We are also 20 times more sensitive than the rhesus monkey. In addition, the original study done by the maker of aspartame found that feeding the product to test animals in doses approximating human consumption produced a 47-times increase in brain tumors as well as tumors in multiple organs. And newborns are 4 times more sensitive than adults.

"A repeat study found that the tumor-causing chemical was a metabolic breakdown product of aspartame called diketopiperizine (DKP). Aspartame quickly breaks down into this tumor-causing product and by one week very high levels are seen. The makers of diet colas know this, and this is why they began to date the drinks. It is not a freshness issue; it is a toxin issue.

"The newborn child is especially vulnerable to this cancer-causing product."

Industry will stoop to unbelievable depths to hide the fact that aspartame is a carcinogen and illegally on the market causing disability and death around the world. You can see from the comments of many renowned  physicians and  researchers  and in their medical texts it has been established without a shadow of a doubt  aspartame is a deadly carcinogen and the FDA was the first to admit it.  When a lot of information became public about Prop 65 than you begin to see articles saying the cancer is an aspartame hoax.  That is their modus operandi when they get exposed.  When I lectured for the World Environmental Conference and Nancy Markle put her name on a paper I wrote,  articles everywhere said it was a hoax even though I contacted publications and sent them my invitation to speak and a letter thanking me for speaking.  Yet they held on to the lie for advertising purposes to protect the manufacturers.  This is as late as about a year ago when Smithsonian on line wrote the lie.  I wrote an article about Smithsonian being busted for OpEdNews.

In the case of aspartame and cancer the worst I've seen is a recent study created to convince the public  that by drinking diet drinks with aspartame you would have less of a risk of recurrent  colon cancer.  Imagine someone with cancer reading that  and not knowing aspartame is a multipotential carcinogen and actually using it because they had colon cancer!  Dr. Ralph Walton wrote:" One of the breakdown products of aspartame is methanol, which in turn is broken down into formaldehyde, a known potent carcinogen.  To conclude that diet soda is associated with a lower, rather than a higher incidence of cancer, suggests that one of the funding sources of the study could be the sweetener industry, which tragically appears to be the case."

This tells you how important it is to get information to the public at large.  Dr. Walton is the physician who did the research for 60 Minutes  showing that 92% of independent, scientific peer reviewed research shows the problems aspartame cause.  He says if you eliminate 6 studies that the FDA had something to do with since they now protect the manufacturer, and one pro-industry summary 100% of independent studies show the problems. http://www.lightenyourtoxicload.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Dr-Walton-survey-of-aspartame-studies.pdf    Dr. Walton who is a psychiatrist also did a human study on aspartame. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/0006322393902518  It had to be stopped when the administrator got a retinal detachment and lost the vision in one eye, someone else had conjunctival bleeding, and others said they were being poisoned.  He and Dr. Woodrow Monte also have done a study on aspartame and autism. 

The aspartame industry usually does a review or study when they get exposed that they finance or control.  For instance, 6 class actions have been filed against the soda pop companies for deceptive advertising calling pop "diet" when aspartame causes you to crave carbohydrates and you gain weight.  Some have lost their life in this belief.  So as expected out comes a review saying aspartame doesn't cause obesity. 

The aspartame industry doesn't care how many die.  The only reason its still on the market is because of profit, addiction and greed. 

Let's all write our senators and congressmen during September and ask that FDA ban aspartame.  The FDA said in 2009 they were broken but somebody has to stop the mass poisoning of the public by aspartame.  Exposing the brain tumor issue at this time might prevent others from dying from the same poison.
