My Father Said That If You Tell a Lie, | |
By Frosty Wooldridge | |
He then said, "You get caught in your own lie for the rest of your life." When I was a kid, I lied to my father once about going to a Cub Scout meeting. He dropped me off at the den meeting house. He brought me 30 minutes early. I sat around until I couldn't sit around anymore. So, I skipped down the street and made my way back home. "How was Cub Scout's today?" my dad asked later that evening. "Just great, dad," I said. Later, at the Cub Scout Christmas Party, my den leader gave me the Christmas present that I had missed because I didn't make the party. At that moment, my father looked at me, and I looked up to my father. He knew that I lied. I knew that I lied. Back home, of course, I received some harsh discipline. I have never lied since that time. My father said, "Son, if you tell a lie, you must cover it with another lie. You must keep covering the lie until you can't remember which lie you're trying to cover. It becomes a habit. You just got caught in your own lie. Do I have your word that this is the last lie you will ever tell in your life?" "Yes, dad," I said. "Good," he said. "Because when you tell the truth, you never have to cover it. You never have to think about it. The truth runs straight and true until the end of time. You will be respected by friends and foes alike because you can stand on your honor, your respect for others and respect for yourself." "Thank you, dad," I said. That's how I learned to tell the truth. It's easier to live with and easier to proceed in life. Right now, we have Dr. Ford and Judge Brett Kavanagh locked in a deadly triangle with one telling the truth and the other lying. In the end, it's a "he said" and "she said" truth-lie orgy commencing in Washington DC. By the way, the 535 Congressional critters in Congress may be the biggest batch of liars in the United States. Their called "politicians." Since members of Congress are currently focused on sexual assault issues, it seems like the perfect time to open the files and release the Members' names in over 250 sexual harassment settlements totaling over $17 million of taxpayers' money, doesn't it? If we looked closely to the sexual careers of John F. Kennedy, Bill Clinton, Keith Ellison, Edward Kennedy and dozens of others---the current situation would make Brett Kavanagh an angel. Mark Twain said, "When the U.S. Congress is in session, no man's life, money or property are safe from those lying scoundrels." He also said, "If you were an idiot, and if you were a congressman, oh, but I repeat myself." Frankly, I learned in 1968 that presidents lie like demons and that Congressional representatives to the U.S. Senate and House lie worse than whores in a bordello. Over 58,000 kids died in Vietnam over such lies and another 4,000 died in Afghanistan and Iraq on lies. Those two wars continue based on lies. Then, of course, the Senate Judiciary tries to press charges against Brett Kavanagh as if he is guilty of accusations by a woman who recalled an event 36 years ago with two frisky teens, but no rape. Not when he became a district judge. Not when he became a federal judge. Not back in July. But days before his confirmation. Anyone see anything wrong with such allegations at such a point in time? And she presumes innocence while Kavanagh suffers guilt by accusation. No proof, except accusation who lies so much she cannot tell a lie from the truth. When The Facts Become Exposed Washington DC proves itself a dirty, deadly, ego-driven, maniacal bunch of politicians who do very little to help Americans, but cause much death and harm to so many Americans, i.e., Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Afghanistan and Iraq. They won't secure the borders now at 22 million illegal aliens invading our country. They won't stop the $62 billion in drugs crossing from Mexico annually. They won't pass E-Verify to stop employers from reaping millions of dollars while we pay. They won't stop anchor babies, while we pay and they won't stop wars while we pay. But they are quick to condemn a man who has led an extraordinary life of excellence. But they believe Dr. Ford who can't keep a lie straight because she can't cover it. She said, "I don't know where it happened at or even what year it happened. I don't know if I got there before everyone else or after. I don't know how I got there or how I got home over 8 miles away (at the age of 15). "My life time friend doesn't remember any of this ( and the other 3 people I said were there testified under oath they don't know anything about this). "I have a fear of flying , but have no problem jet-setting all over the world while on vacation. I've been on airplanes more in the past two months than most people in a year, but my fear is completely legit. "I don't know who paid for my hotel and polygraph test( the afternoon of my grandmothers funeral, or maybe it was the next day, who knows). And guess what? I flew there. And that polygraph, it was only two questions, neither of which were about Kavanagh. But I passed so that's all that matters. And my PhD in psychology definitely, in no way, helped me with it or my testimony today.
"My friends on the beach encouraged me to continue contacting the media with my story (because we were running out of time). I can't name them, so we'll just call them beach friends. Yet while giving such great advice, none were willing to be character witnesses. Meanwhile, Judge Kavanagh had hundreds of character witnesses step up in a matter of days. "My lawyers, out of the kindness of their hearts, are helping me for FREE yet I have a "needed" gofundme page that currently is sitting at $473,622. I'm so desperately in need of help there's even a second gofundme with $209,987. I promise though I'm not getting anything out of my testimony, that money is just going to cover my expenses. "I was the only person in the United States that didn't know Congress agreed to come to me instead of me going to DC. They really do care about my flying phobia after all." You cannot cover lies with more lies. In the end, you get caught in your lies.
