- Vancouver Island - 92 Year Olds Missing Time "Update"
-
- HBCC UFO Research Note: The lady updated HBCC UFO Research
on more information, also the original report is blow the update
-
- I know from speaking to a number of different people
on Vancouver Island, and other Islands off of the coast of British Columbia
there was a "major" UFO/Abduction event which went on for a number
of years, going back many years. If anyone of the Islands have had a missing
time experience, I would certainly love to hear from you.
-
-
- Thank you,
-
-
- Brian Vike
-
- Director of HBCC UFO Research.
-
- Hi Brian,
-
-
- Last April I sent you the story of my 92 year old father
and his missing time episode on Vancouver Island. I couldn't find the
story in the archives but you might remember it anyway.
-
- I have now discovered that he is not the only person
who has had missing time on that part of the Island. Recently I was talking
with a group of acquaintances and jokingly mentioned to be careful driving
to the north end of the Island.....people or time tends to disappear for
a while! Later a woman took me aside and told me what she had heard about
a incident in that area. Although not the same as dads, it was similar.
Apparently she heard about this rather second hand and didn't think too
much about it until she heard my comment. It seems a woman who regularly
drove that highway came to the beginning of Nimpkish lake and started to
drive along the shoreline. It is a long narrow lake and within half an
hour she should have been well past it and nearing the Beaver Cove intersection.
However it seems she could not get to the end of the lake. She kept driving
and driving and the lake was always there on the left side of the road.
Frustrated and confused she eventually did reach the end of the lake
and went on to her destination. However she was just over an hour late
arriving. She had not stopped along the way and in fact had increased
her speed trying to reach the end of the lake, but was still late.
-
- Unfortunately my friend did not know many details but
will see if she can track down the person who told her about this. It
might not have been that remarkable a story except for its similarity to
what happened to my father.
-
- It would be interesting to know if other residents have
had anything like that happen. Of course it could happen to visitors as
well but if they didn't know the road they would not know anything was
unusual.
-
- Thanks Brian for all the work you are doing.
-
- Thank you to the witness for the update.
-
- HBCC UFO Research Note: The below report is the original.
Thank you to the lady who dug it up for me.
-
- 92 Year Old Man Relates His Missing Time Experience On
Vancouver Island, British Columbia
-
- HBCC UFO Research Note: I would like to point out that
the daughter of the 92 year old gentleman has had UFO sightings before,
along with other members of her family.
-
- Although this event took place and was told to us about
25 years ago, it is still very clear in the mind of my 92 year old father.
I should mention that my father was a very down to earth, level headed,
non drinking school teacher.
-
- The missing time location was northern Vancouver Island.
My father taught Industrial Arts at a school in Victoria. Dad would often
leave right after school on a Friday afternoon and drive the several hundred
miles north to Telegraph Cove on the east coast of the Island. Most of
Telegraph Cove was owned by dad's cousin and dad would go for the weekend
to help with building, wiring and repairs to the old buildings on the boardwalk.
Just as he left the school he would phone my mother to say he was on the
way and as soon as he got to Telegraph Cove he would call her to say he
had safely arrived. It became a very familiar routine drive.
-
- The drive took, within minutes, the exact same length
of time every time. In fact dad chose several landmarks along the way and
checked his watch to see if he was exactly on schedule. He always was.
-
- One landmark was just at the turnoff to Woss Camp. It
was an old water pipe sticking out of the cut bank on the right side of
the road. When dad reached there he knew he had just over an hour left
to drive.
-
- Although this event took place and was told to us about
25 years ago, it is still very clear in the mind of my 92 year old father.
I should mention that my father was a very down to earth, level headed,
non drinking school teacher.
-
- On this particular day everything was as usual. When
he reached the Woss Camp turnoff with the water pipe in the cut bank he
checked the time. He was right on schedule. He continued driving but soon
noticed that the road did not seem quite right. The road was still smooth
and paved but a corner turned an unexpected direction or there was a slight
hill that he did not remember. After he'd been driving a short while he
saw a small lake on the left side of the road. It had a narrow rocky shoreline
and at the far end was a raised parking area with a couple of picnic tables.
He was surprised as he'd never seen that lake before. He assumed that it
must have been hidden by dense underbrush and that someone had worked very
hard to clear the area. He thought that was a very nice thing to do as
it was a pretty little spot. He continued to drive and began to wonder
where the usual Friday night traffic was.
-
- He'd not seen one car since the Woss Camp turnoff. Admittedly
that is a very uninhabited part of the Island but there was usually some
traffic. He also wondered why he had not yet reached the very large Nimpkish
Lake. He'd been driving for quite a while and the road should be following
the lakeshore for about half of this part of the drive.
-
- Then he went around a corner and went numb with shock
and confusion. There, in front of him, was the turnoff to Woss Camp with
the water pipe sticking out of the cut-bank on the right side of the road.
He pulled off to the side and sat and stared for several minutes. He looked
at his watch. He'd driven past this same place exactly one hour earlier!
For the previous hour he'd been driving on a road he'd never seen before
and somehow ended up back where he had started.. Eventually he felt OK
to drive and continued on to Telegraph Cove. This time the road was exactly
right. No strange curves, usual traffic and he soon reached Nimpkish Lake.
Although he watched for it, he never saw the little lake with the picnic
tables.
-
- When he arrived at Telegraph Cove his cousin said he
had, had been wondering why dad was so much later than usual. In his call
to mom she said she'd been getting worried as he was over an hour late
in calling. Dad asked several people in Telegraph Cove about the little
lake with the picnic area. No one had any idea what he was talking about.
On his way home on Sunday he looked, but never saw the lake.
-
- All his subsequent trips were normal and on schedule.
-
- A few years later dad and I went back to that area to
look for the lake and any roads he could have accidentally driven on. There
was only one paved road on that 100 mile long part of the Island. We peered
through bushes and took every dirt road off the main road that we could
find but never found a little lake with a pretty picnic area. There was
nothing even remotely similar.
-
- So dad has been left wondering, where was the empty Island
road he drove on for an hour on a sunny Friday afternoon. It never appeared
again and he has often laughed and said he must have had his own version
of "Brigadoon".
-
- Thank you to the daughter of the 92 year old gentleman
for the interesting report.

- Barbados Flying Saucer Shaped UFO
-
- Date: 1972
- Time: 7:00 p.m.
-
- Shape of objects: Round globe, flying saucer shaped.
-
- Full Description of event/sighting: I was vacationing
in Barbados 1972 and while sitting by the beach I noticed a orange/red
light which I thought was an aircraft, however as it got closer I
decided it was an alien object. As it got closer to me it suddenly stopped,
at which time it appeared to be about 2 feet in diameter. It stayed in
that position for about 2 to 3 minutes and than it suddenly dropped which I
figured about 20 feet. It stayed in this position for again about 3 minutes
when it suddenly took of to the left of me and disappeared. No witness
and never mentioned it, only to my wife. Some years later while watching
a program on TV I saw the very thing which I had seen.

- Lakepot, California Unknown UFO Follows Witnesses Home From
A Fund Raiser
-
- Date: Around 1988
- Time: Approx: 10:00 p.m.
-
- I did not know we saw a UFO until I read your newsletter.
Around 1988 a friend and I were coming home about 10:00 p.m. when we saw
a bright light, just above the tree tops and going about the same speed
as we were (35 miles an hour). It seemed to be keeping up with us, but
about three miles away.
-
- When she let me out and I walked up to my home a box-kite
like object appeared about 200 hundred feet up. It was lighted and about
20 feet long so I could make it out. There was no sound at all, and traveling
very slow. My friend said it followed her home and shone a bright light
on her until she reached her home, then it just disappeared.
-
- By the way, we were not drinking or smoking a funny weed.
We were coming home from a fund raiser for the District Attorney. He won
and is now a judge.
-
- Thank you to the witness for the interesting report.

- Sydney, British Columbia Flying Saucer With Windows
-
- Date: November 1998
- Time: 2:00 p.m.
-
- At Sydney, B.C. in November 1998 while walking
my dog. I spotted out of the corner of my eye what I thought was an aircraft
in trouble, however as there was no noise. I went down to the water and
could see no air craft in the water. Upon looking around and about
100 feet in the sky was a flying saucer. I said at the time on seeing
this, I said it was about time you showed up as I have been looking for
you for over 30 years. In a flash it was gone. About 25 feet in circumference.
It had what appeared to have 3 windows in the upper portion of the craft
and along the lower section a large the trailing edge a group
of white lights which began to rotate along the leading edge and eventfully
formed one solid ring. As I watched this I knew it was getting
ready to get the dickens out of here. I looked around for anyone else
but as luck would have it, not a person in sight. I did not report
this sighting as I later checked with a group of people who I
am sure thought I was missing a few bricks from a load.
-
- Thank you to the witness for their report.

- Hales Corners, Wisconsin A Whirring Noise - Bedroom
Glowing And Hazy
-
- Date: February 2004
- Time: 3:00 - 4:00 a.m.
-
- Location of Sighting: Hales Corners, Wisconsin
- Number of witnesses: 2
- Number of objects: 1
- Shape of objects: Unknown.
-
- Full Description of event/sighting: This is more of an
event than a sighting. Back in February 2004 my wife was pregnant with
our son. One night in February while we were in bed sleeping, we began
to hear what I can only describe as a "whirring" noise that started
low and became very high pitched. Both of us felt unable to awake
even though we were aware that something was going on inside of our bedroom. I
don't want to say that we were paralyzed, because it wouldn't be accurate.
We were asleep bodily, but still awake and fully aware that something was
happening in the room. We were living on the second floor of an apartment
building when this occurred. All of a sudden my wife could feel a light
over her shoulder shoot into the room. I guess the only way I can describe
this is similar to when your eyes are closed, but there is a very bright
light nearby. You can still tell that there is a light on. I did not
see the light myself, probably because I was facing away from the window,
but I was fully aware of the noise and was almost overcome with a strange
feeling that something ominous was happening and I was powerless to do
anything about it.
-
- From this point, my memory gets somewhat foggy. I awoke
what seemed like moments later to a room that looked as if it was glowing
and hazy. My wife was pushing on my arm asking me what happened. She
was very frightened by the whole affair and immediately felt that this
had been a failed abduction event of some sort. There really was no other
explanation because there was no other way that bright of a light could
hit our second story window. I on the other hand am not so sure that
it was failed. Before this event I personally didn't put much thought into
aliens or UFOs, etc. But there was always something weird in the back of
my mind that was inexplicable.
-
- Several years earlier in 1996 I had a similar event occur
when I lived in a rather secluded house in Waukesha county, Wisconsin.
That night I heard what sounded like a helicopter landing on the house.
I saw a blue light shoot through the window and I was stopped dead in my
tracks (I remember standing up for a split second and then falling flat
on the hardwood floor of the bedroom) by a feeling of total paralysis. To
this day I remember my girlfriend at the time screaming in terror and saying
"What the heck is that". When I asked her less than a year
ago if she remembered anything like that, she told me that she couldn't
really remember anything like that ever happening. However, our daughter
who was still a baby at the time (she is now 12) used to talk to me about
the little men that would come into her room at night. Today, she has no
recollections of these events, but has told me several times that she remembers
having dreams about the aliens that people today refer to as "greys".
She is very interested whenever she sees television shows on the ufo/alien
phenomenon. Also around the late 90's there seemed to be a strange sense
of paranoia in the house. I lived there with my girlfriend, our daughter,
and my girlfriends two brothers. The paranoia we experienced manifested
itself in an almost obsessive need to lock down the house at night. In
fact, there were nights when me and one of her brothers were scanning the
property with night-vision goggles and shotguns. It was really that
bad. There just seemed to be a lot of fear for reasons that nobody liked
to talk about.
-
- After this event occurred with my wife back in 2004,
I began having recurring memories of other events of similar nature. I
am a working class guy, married with three children, working in the hydraulics
industry. I consider myself a rational person and not superstitious
by any means. Yet I simply cannot deny that these events occurred and that
they were not creations that have been constructed in my mind. Thank you
for taking the time to read through this and please feel free to write
me if you have any questions.
-
- Best Regards.
-
- Thank you to the person for a fascinating report.

- Ogdensburg, New York Low Flying UFO Illuminated By City
Lights (Diagram)
-
- Date: August 19, 2007
- Time: Approx: 9:45 p.m.
-
- Hello Brian, updated I have a rough sketch of what I
saw. I only have access to paint from Microsoft right now no AutoCAD program.
I hope this sketch is enough information for your viewers to help with
it's identification. I had just witnessed a number of weird objects and
was in the process of heading in that night and all of sudden I had this
white light object go over my backyard in the city and witnessed a major
power-up. I then moved to the middle of my backyard that's fenced in and
this is when I caught a glimpse of this object. It was completely silent
and without lights and a matter of fact the craft was so low that the city's
street lights were illuminating the object. I would guess that the object
was at least two stories high minimum and over 3/4 of a city block long,
it was incredible on it's side there was these circles and they were 3-D
not flat on the object. All I can say is that we are in a small city and
there's just a small airport here nothing military nearby less than 50
miles away, it was one of best and stirring sightings of this year, and
I have seen quite a few this year. I hope other's have seen this object
elsewhere.

- North Of Lift Locks Peterborough, Ontario
-
- Date: Somewhere around September 1, 2007
- Time: 10:30 p.m.
-
- Location of Sighting: North of Lift Locks Peterborough.
- Number of witnesses: 1
- Number of objects: 3
- Shape of objects: Circular.
-
- Full Description of event/sighting: I was fishing above
Peterborough Lift locks after being with friends. I looked up to stargaze
and I saw two objects in the sky that looked like stars. They were
closer than stars and where not satellites. The two objects passed very
quickly overhead and another intersected them.
-
- I have 55 hours flying time and have a great interest
in the sky. I know that this was not commercial aviation, or stars.
-
- Cheers.

- Toronto Island Airport, Ontario Three Object With Solid
Piece On Top
-
- Date: September 1, 2007
- Time: Approx: 2:00 p.m.
-
- Location of Sighting: Toronto Island Airport.
- Number of witnesses: 10
- Number of objects: 1
- Shape of objects: 3 "balls" with a solid piece
on top.
-
- Full Description of event/sighting: During the 2007 Toronto
International Airshow, a small, wobbly, thing was spotted rising from behind
(south) the island airport, rising and increasing in altitude, flying north.
This was after one of the scheduled air show planes flew (about 3/4 way
through the show). My family and I witnessed this thing and couldn't identify
it. We thought maybe some kind of weather balloon but then we wondered
why someone would launch and air balloon in the middle of an air show.
Also, none of us managed to take a picture although there were about 10
of us looking at the thing.
-
- I have Googled for anyone else who may have taken a picture
or seen the thing but have found nothing. It's very strange that nobody
else would have seen this as there were many airshow viewers from the many
high-rise condo buildings on the lakefront.
-
- If you can tell me what the thing was, I would appreciate
it.
-
- Thank you to the witness for the report.

- Etobicoke, Ontario A White Or Silver Sphere
-
- Date: September 8, 2007
- Time: Approx: 4:00 p.m.
-
- Location of Sighting: Etobicoke, ON.
- Number of witnesses: 2
- Number of objects: 1
- Shape of objects: Sphere.
-
- Full Description of event/sighting: The photo was taken
on Saturday, September 8th, at around 4:00pm, my wife and I had just sat
down on a bench beside a parking lot in a shopping mall, when my eye caught
a glint of a white or silver sphere moving from roughly north to south,
in Etobicoke, (Toronto) ON, heading towards Lake Ontario.
-
- When I had first spotted the object it was at a relatively
low altitude, 1000 feet, perhaps 1km away from me, moving at a speed of
perhaps 100km/h. It left no trail, and made no sound. My wife and I observed
it for approx. 4 minutes in total. As it continued southward it slowly
gained in altitude. I took several pictures with my cell phone that
did not turn out, but my wife managed to take two photos that did turn
out.
-
- In the photos can be seen a bright sphere. It also
seems to be casting a shadow on the clouds. The sun was roughly at
out back at this time, we were facing east or south east while watching
this object that eventually went out of view.
-
- I really regret not having our big camera with us that
day.
-
- This was also reported and the better of the two photos
forwarded to UFOCasebook.
-
- Thank you to the witness for their report.
