- This heart-breaking amateur video-report by the New Song
Church of the USA shows brief video interviews with local health-care
workers doing their rural rounds in the Western Cape province and interviews
with their patients. The doctors on this video such as Dr Mike Liu of
the department of internal medicine at the University of Cape Town said
that at least 85% of the patients they saw on their rounds all were HIV+
(in 2006). Many of these patients interviewed on this video also had TB-co-infection
and the doctors also speak of treating patients with such co-infections,
one even referred to it as 'malarial TB".
-
- What is particularly striking on this video was that
so many of these rural patients in the Western Cape actually refer to
'HIV" and "Aids" as if they are two entirely different,
unrelated conditions: this is mainly due to the fact that the SA health
minister still does not believe that the human-immune-deficiency virus
(HIV) actually causes Acquired Immunity-Deficiency Syndrome (Aids). The
country's health minister, Mrs Manto Tshabalala- Msimang, instead advocates
the disastrous belief that 'Aids" instead is caused by 'poverty and
hunger" -- and she has even developed a vegetable mix of beetroot,
African potatoes and garlic which she even at one stage claimed could
'cure' Aids. While she now no longer makes this outrageous claim in public,
Manto still praises its 'benefits', which has earned her the derogatory
nickname of "Dr Beetroot". Clearly this woman's policies are
having a powerful effect right down to grass-roots level where people
now habitually refer to "HIV" and "AIDS" as if they
are two unrelated medical conditions...
-
- This video was not censored by the SA regime and it therefore
shows the raw reality of how the Western Cape's rural communities now
have to cope with many hundreds of orphaned children and how entire communities
are being shunned while they also have to deal with the Aids-epidemic
killing their loved ones and leaving many children orphaned. The carers
of hospices and local pastors are interviewed who speak of entire infected
families as common-place occurrances.
-
- Some of these co-infected TB+HIV patients were also interviewed
on this video. They also tell how many of their relatives have already
died and about the medicines they are taking. Yet even though these co-infected
TB+HIV patients remain highly infectious to all others around them, no
anti-infection precautions were taken to stop any of these people from
spreading their deadly infection through the air. There's a very good
reason for this lack of precautionary measures: the South African regime
itself has never issued any warnings that TB+HIV co-infected people often
still remain highly infectious to all others around them, especially if
they are coughing actively and frequently.
