enforcement officers are calling "brilliant" -- they're stealing
the identities, including credit card information, of pedophiles buying
child pornography.

- The genius of the system is that the victims are quite
reluctant to complain that their identities have been stolen, officials
said. The ring uses child porn sites that offer paid access, then direct
would-be customers to a bogus payment page.

their credit card information has been stolen, they typically pay the charges
and then report the card lost or stolen, authorities said.

from the law books.

- Nepal: Sajani Shakya is no longer a 'Living Goddess'
after temple elders decided that her trip to the United States to promote
a documentary had defiled her and stripped her of the title.

- The ten-year-old had been one of the three highest Living
Goddesses in Nepal, worshipped by Hindus and Buddhists. Goddesses of that
rank are forbidden from leaving the Kingdom by tradition. A search is now
underway for her replacement.

32 criteria including having a conch shell-like neck, thighs like a deer,

and four.

- Woman Stabs Boyfriend in the Eye With Chopstick -
6 Years After She Blinded the other Eye With Her Finger

- Hong Kong: 58-year-old Po Shiu-fong has been jailed for
six months after stabbing her boyfriend in the left eye with a chopstick
during an argument over alleged infidelity. The next morning she stabbed
the right eye in another argument.

- Her boyfriend, 49-year-old Kwok Wai-ming, was already
blind in his left eye after Po jabbed it with her finger during another
argument six years ago. Kwok has now lost between 10 and 20 percent of
the vision in his right eye.

- Kwok did not report the previous incident out of love
but made a report to police after this incident. "If I forgive her,
God would not forgive me. No matter what, nothing could compensate for
the loss of my eye," he said.

- A woman was ambushed inside an acquaintance's apartment.
The word "snitch" was branded into her face, in an apparent retaliation
for helping police.

- Distracted by the methamphetamines she was smoking, the
attackers, including the two people that the victim had shared information
about with the police, knocked her unconscious.

- The attackers partially shaved her head and branded her
with the word "snitch" across her check quite prominently. Four
people, including the person she was smoking methamphetamines with, were
arrested.

- Man Teaches 3-Year-Old That Biting People is Wrong

- 40-year-old Hector Pulido from Bridgeport, Connecticut
is being held on a $100,000 bond after police charged him with assault
and risk of injury to a minor. Pulido allegedly bit his 3-year-old nephew
repeatedly.

- Day-care workers contacted police after they found bites
on the child's leg, buttocks, thigh, shoulder, back, stomach, and chest.
When questioned the boy told police that his uncle was responsible for
the bite marks.

- Pulido admitted that he had bitten the boy but claimed
that it was in order "to teach him not to bite anyone." The Department
of Children and Families has been informed about the case.

- Anesthetist Sentenced to 1,933 Years in Jail

- Juan Maeso, a Spanish anesthetist, has been sentenced
to 1,933 years in prison by a Valencia Provincial Court after he infected
275 people with hepatitis C between 1988 and 1997.

- According to local media Juan Maeso has hepatitis C and
would routinely use a morphine needle on patients after first using it
on himself. The virus has already proved fatal for four of his patients.

- Under Spanish law Maeso will only serve 20 years. In
addition to the prison time he has been ordered to compensate each of his
victims or their surviving family. The court awarded the victims $680,000
each.
