Special: Were we to believe something else had taken place ? Canadian Fireball Witnessed By Many - Or Was This A UFO ? On March 21, 2004 the sky lit up with an object shooting across the Canadian nighttime sky. An fireball was witnessed from Alberta into Ontario where this story takes an unusual twist. It appears we all took it for granted that what was seen by many people to be a brilliant fireball which streaked across the sky. Even the pilot of a private jet carrying the Prime Minister of Canada, Mr. Paul Martin witnessed the event and reported the unidentified bright object to air traffic controllers in Edmonton while flying near CFB Suffield. My question is, were we led to believe it was a fireball and having the story dropped from there ? Well something has caught my attention just recently and I have spoke with a person at great length today which makes me re-think the entire story we were lead to believe. Was it a fireball or an unknown object ? My first take on this when I heard and read the reports about this event was that is must have been a fireball that traveled across a good part of Canada. Now I am not so sure as to what it was, all I know is that I will be examining this case, along with excellent video footage taken from a location in Ontario. The time frame fits with an object been reported and the fireball incident. So I guess we will see what comes out of this. Of course there is alot more information to come on what I am looking into. I would like to request that if anyone who saw the fireball/UFO event on March 21, 2004 in Canada, would you please contact me here at HBCC UFO Research. Thank you, Brian Vike. --------- Ventura, California Orange Red Glowing Cigar Shaped Object Date: 1977 or 1978 Time: 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. Location of Sighting: Santa Paula Freeway East of Ventura California. Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Cigar shaped elongated.
Full Description of event/sighting: This is an old sighting--but I heard some UFO researcher on the Art Bell show talking about the same event a few years ago. Don't remember the name of the researcher, but when he was talking about the sighting I realized that I had seen the exact same thing, but only from the opposite direction--and that the object was between me and the other observer.
Was driving down the Santa Paula Freeway between the hours of 8:30 and 9:30 PM. Moonless night. I was just west of Santa Paula driving toward Ventura Ca. A couple of miles East of El Rio I noticed a orange-red glowing, cigar shaped object coming from the north at about an altitude of 600 to 900 feet.
I don't think the object was more than a mile from me. I stopped the car, got out and watched as it slowly flew from north to south at a slow speed. The object was slowly pulsing in intensity (glow orange-red) and occasionally dripped a yellowish flame from it's tail as it flew.
At first I thought it was a military jet in distress and on fire. But there was no jet noise. And it flew far too slow, under the stall speed of a jet aircraft.
I reached inside the car and flashed my high beams repeatedly hoping to elicit a response from the object. There was none. The craft kept on flying in a southerly direction towards the direction of Point Mugu Naval Air Station.
From the point of was standing the surrounding terrain is completely flat. The visibility was at least 15 to 20 miles because I could see the flashers on the hill side above Mugu Rock where the military tracking station was located.
The object must have flown directly overhead or very near to the Naval Base perimeter. I kept watching until the light grew dim in the distance. Total length of this sighting was no longer than two and an half minutes.
I realize this was thirty years ago and I am not certain of the year. I think it was 78. But I am certain of the shape, color, speed, direction and flame-dripping aspects of the craft.
I did not realize there was another, perhaps more witnesses until the Art Bell Show years ago. And at the time there was no way to report such things--as this web-site.
If you know who the researcher that was on the Art Bell show (I know there were many) please forward this to him. This particular case seemed important to him.
Thank you to the witness for the report. ---------- Kincardine, Ontario 3 Bright Lights Explode From The Water Report received January 29, 2007 Date: About 14-15 years ago Time: 10:00 -11:00 p.m. Brian, well I live in a small town called Kincardine. It's in Ontario on the Western shores of Lake Huron. This is home to one of the worlds largest nuclear power plants, Bruce Power. This experience happened about 14-15 years ago. I was around 12 years old and it was the summer before I entered high school. So how ever old you are then.
Anyways, this is what happened, It's about 10:00 - 11:00 pm., myself and two friends at the time were on our bikes down at the harbor on our pier. We have two piers, a north and south pier. We were on the north pier, cause back then we had a diving board on the pier where everyone would hang out. So we were out on the pier standing around talking about having a sleep-over out at my dads house. About 50 meters or so off the pier it looked like there was someone out in the water swimming. It looked like someone was doing the breaststroke, doing maybe 30 feet lengths back and forth, back and forth. We didn't think anything of it really. So anyways my one buddy already knew he could stay the night, but my other buddy didn't as he had to ask his parents. So he took off on his bike back uptown to call his parents and ask. Me and my other buddy stayed at the pier. 10-15 minutes later he comes back. This is where things get weird! So we notice that things still there, doing the same thing, same pattern like someone was swimming! Only out a little deeper, basically right out in front of the diving board now. Still parallel to the pier. Now were starting wonder what this thing really is as were curious, right. We start walking towards the diving board, which is maybe 15 feet from where we were, asking each other "What is it?" As we reached the diving board I yelled out " It's a mermaid, " joking around. Just as I finished yelling that, this thing stopped moving in the water and it looked like it looked at us. It went under the water and exploded out of the water in 3 bright lights in the shape of a perfect triangle. Maybe 10-15 feet between each light. This thing was out of the water and hovering literally 7-10 feet in front of us, off the pier in a matter of milli-seconds. Not a sound was made by this thing and deadly quiet! It rotated one way coming out the water, stopped in front of us, hovered there for maybe 3-5 seconds then took off rotating the other direction out over the break-wall then up into the air and gone! I remember having to grab onto the diving board ladder because my entire body turned to, basically Jell-O and I could feel some sort of heat on my face.
After we could move again, we looked at each other and ran like hell! We left our bikes and just ran off the pier and it took us about an hour to go back to get our bikes. This happened and I will never forget it. Feels like it happened yesterday. Back then I had no clue about UFOs and such things. We were all into our sports. The only thing that came to our minds was a ghost. But as I got older I started seeing TV shows and documentaries about UFOs and now I'm 110% sure it was a UFO, and to be honest I think we saw some sort of Alien species doing whatever it was doing in the water until we spooked it. Maybe it hopped in it's craft and zipped up on us out of curiosity. It's a crazy story I know, but 100% the truth.
Thank you. Thank you very much to the witnesse for their report. -------- East Of Prince George, B.C. A Bright Light To A Cylindrical Black Spot Date: July 20 1994 Time: 5.30-6.00 a.m. Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Bright light, changed to cylindrical. Full Description of event/sighting: I was hauling logs east of Prince George, British Columbia. Around Wansa Creek on Highway 16. I saw a bright light in the sky. I thought it was maybe a helicopter working on Tabour Mountain. As I approached closer to the Willow River bridge, it looked like a very bright light on the mountain. When I broke over the mountain to see the city bowl, I realized the light was way to the west, maybe around Baldy Hughes. Then the light went from bright to small, then to a cylindrical black spot almost immediately. It was large to small in one second. Then it veered off to the southeast and disappeared.
Thank you to the witness for the report. ------- Sarnia, Ontario Bright Orange Sphere (Excellent Photos) Posted: January 28, 2007 Date: March 21, 2004 Time: Evening Hello Brian, I just read an article about UFO's in 1977 in the Sarnia, ON. area. (http://wwwufoinfo.com/sightings/canada/770800a.shtml). (Report pasted below witness is referring to) So I decided I would share this with you since you asked for information at the end of this article. On March 21, 2004 I seen what I suspect was the same thing that is referred to in the article above.
As a matter of fact, Paul Martin, P.M. seen the same thing as it was reported in the newspaper by Jim Bronskill a day or so later. A neighbour and I both took photos of this occurrence. I have attached two of the ones that I took. For lack of a better name I referred to them as a fireball but personally think that it was an UFO.
Did you ever hear further on this incident? Regards. Additional Information: Hello Brian, Thanks for the quick response. I am happy someone does not think I am "loosing it" or "imaging it". (G)
I have called my neighbour's son who took a video of the UFO. He will be in touch with you but does not have a computer. I have given him a copy of the article I read which in turn has your info on it. But no phone number. Perhaps if you have one you could forward it to me and I will see he gets it. His name, etc. below. (HBCC UFO Research has removed the neighbour's full contact information) The neighbour actually followed the object over to Canatara Park a few blocks from here so assume he has some good footage. I have attached another photo which I took before the object got closer. I did not think that it was that good so did not send the first time. Thank you to the witness for sending in the report and for allowing me to post the photos. The photos are copyrighted to the owner, or the person who took them. Also Monday, January 29, 2007 I will be calling the neighbour to see what information I can gather. The witness for the above report was referring to the report she read at UFOINFO, "below". HBCC UFO would also like to point out that it is so very important to file report sighting reports as it makes a huge difference, such as in this case. Three excellent pictures of the object can be viewed in the media area at the end of this entire report. Thank you to this witness for the great photos and report. ------- Lunenburg, Vermont Colored Light Zooming Around The Sky Date: September 16, 2006 Approx: 11:30 p.m. Location of Sighting: South Luneburg Road Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 3 Shape of objects: Hard to tell lights flashing in a circle motion. Full Description of event/sighting: My friend and I were walking back from a bonfire at our friends house which was about 2 miles from my house. As we were walking I'm pointing out constellations to my friend. As I point to Orion's belt something catches both our eyes. About 200 yards away we see a flash of lights blue green and red. It took off from just above the tree line and went straight up. Then a hard left making movements that no aircraft could have made. Both me and friend are believers in the UFO theory so we ran after the object. When we came to a more open area the other two objects appeared darting left and right coming very close to each other. At more then one time we thought they were going to hit ! Then one by one they zoomed in different directions then disappeared in a millisecond. Both my friend and I knew no one was going to believe what we saw and we were right mentioning it to our friends the next day. They did not believe one word, but we know what we saw was some form of UFO. Thank you to the witness for the report. --------- Southampton County, Virginia Round Lights In The Shape Of A Triangle Date: January 23, 2007 Time: Approx: 7:40 p.m. Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: Either 1 or 3 Shape of objects: Round lights in shape of triangle. Full Description of event/sighting: Hi. I understand this site 'serves' Canada, so I wasn't sure if you'd want any possible UFO sighting in the states or not. But, I figured what the hay--all you can do is tell me is you don't need my testimony--can't kill me and eat me, right? Right? ;o) lol
Anyway, this is something that I witnessed this past Tuesday, so I'm trying to get this all out while it's still fresh. I filed a report with NUFORC last night as well.
On Tuesday, January 23, 2007, at approximately 7:40p.m. I was driving SE on Sedley Road with my four year old son on my way home from a friends house when I spotted what I thought at first was a planet--possibly Venus or Mars--(I enjoy astronomy and such, but can hardly ever remember what is what exactly in the sky so far as the names of stars and planets and where they should be at, at any given time of the year.)
This object was to my left and looked to be a few miles away from me--(after checking out my map, I think that this object was most probably 2-3 miles away from my location when I first spotted it as I was driving.)
This object was looking for all the world like a planet--just far bigger than I was thinking a planet should look from earth--definitely larger than any planets I've seen before. But im no professional star gazer, so I figured what do I know? lol
The 'planet' was VERY bright, and a light orange color. Even though I thought it looked awful large for a planet, I still assumed it must be one since it was not twinkling like stars do.
I pointed the light out to my son, and proceeded to bore him with probably useless trivia about how to tell if a star is a star or if its a planet. This object was in my view the entire time I was driving-(except short periods when trees obscured it.)
A little over 2 miles up the road I had to make a left turn to head due east. I had started thinking there was definitely something weird looking about the light so once I turned, and saw no other cars were coming, I stopped in the road to have a safer look.
This was when I noticed the light was not a single light, but three lights--and it was moving in a diagonal direction towards me! I figured that it must be an airplane since it was moving, yet I thought to myself that it was weird for an airplane to have three large orange lights underneath it like that because for it to have been an airplane the two front lights would have had to have been on the end of each wing, and the third rear one on the tail, and all would have had to have been underneath the object.
These lights all looked to be the same distance apart and were very big looking lights, all large, all the same light orange color, no pulsing, or color changing, and they were set in a triangle pattern. They didn't appear to be landing lights, and I wanted to mention that the plane was not coming from, or going towards the direction of the closest airport here, so I'm sure it wasn't landing or taking off.
I made no unusual note of speed, or movement--(it appeared to move slowly, but I wouldn't say notably slow, nor did I see any unusual movements that defy conventional aircraft movements.) I had my window rolled down, and I heard no sounds as if an airplane was passing overhead, but I never cut my van off, so I suppose it's possible there were some sounds.
This object appeared to be flying pretty low, yet was too high for me to make out any of the aircraft itself--I could only see the three lights. It's possible this may have been a normal, everyday aircraft, but I have to say that I've been driving for many years, and have been out lots of times at night, and I have seen many, many, airplanes, helicopters, and such in the night sky at varying distances. I've seen all kinds of colored lights on aircraft's as they go along up there, sometimes steady, sometimes blinking and blipping around.
More than a few of them have given me pause, but I always realize very quickly that it is in fact just an airplane, or some other form of 'normal' aircraft. You just--know when what you are seeing is normal, and when it is not, and this didn't look normal to me. I can't say as I've ever seen three big orange colored lights in that formation on the very bottom of an airplane like that before. Ever.
Another car ended up turning on the road behind me that I was stopped on, so I drove up to the next side road and turned on it to find a place to turn around and try to watch this thing some more.
I did this in about a one minute time period, losing sight of the object as I did so. As I was pulled into the dirt path I was using to turn around in, I stopped and searched out the object, finding it easily as it made its way in the same diagonal trek, but in front of me this time.
I sat there maybe 30 more seconds as it grew smaller in the distance, then drove home.
Thought I should mention that I submitted another report to the NUFORC about a year or two ago concerning a possible UFO sighting I had when I was younger back in the 80's in nearby Suffolk, Va. (I believe that was the last time I have seen anything 'unidentified' in the skies until Tuesday night, btw...lol)
The object I saw in the 80's was a solitary, huge, bright light, but was orange like the lights I saw last night. Might be nothing, but thought worth stating. Don't know if this is helpful or not, but I looked up the exact coordinates of the location I was at when I saw all this on Tuesday.
My physical coordinates around the time I first laid eyes on the object were around LAT: -76.9872522354126 - LON: 36.74926092648688
After studying a map of the area, judging by the horizontal direction this object was flying in while it was coming towards me on Black Creek Rd when I realized first this thing was three lights, I believe the craft was coming from the vicinity of the following coordinates; LAT: -76.96995735168457 - LON: 36.75394593241057
I have done a drawing representing the best I could what I saw the other night on a paint program on my computer, as well as found a map detailing exactly where I was while seeing this object. If your interested in having them, feel free :o)
I put my phone number down here on your contact form, but unless you feel the need, I wasn't officially requesting for anyone to investigate this. Just wanted to impress how sincere I am and am not afraid to speak with someone if anyone feels its necessary.
Thank you for your time and for reading my long narrative of what I'm sure is probably the millionth possible UFO sighting report for you. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask :o) Take care and God bless! Additional Information: Awwww, bless your heart--thank you for the kind compliments! Made my day! :o) I'm sending along my sorry little attempt at trying to draw what I saw--hey, none can say I don't at least try though, right? The file (SouthamptonVirginia2) I thought was right darn close to what I saw, though...(in other words, not too shabby, eh? I tried to make it so that it looked similar to the way it did as I was looking up at it from the window of my van. The color is as close as I could remember, although I do believe it might have been a shade or two darker. The file (SouthamptonVirginia1) is simply just where I tried to give an accurate impression of how large this light was by comparing it to the North Star--(of course my little north star there is by no means meant to be accurate in size or anything. Basically I'm trying to say that if the north star is 'this' big, then the light I saw before I knew it was actually 3 lights was 'this' much bigger than it. I tell you, its so hard to convey to someone the general idea of just how not normal something seen like this truly is, not to mention that you're not a nutball, while also trying to convey that your not overreacting either. I mean, I know I've had friends who have told me about something strange they might have seen in the sky before, and at the risk of sounding like a total hypocrite, usually the first thing I'm thinking is A)Probably what they saw was something 'normal' like a star, planet, satellite, plane, etc., and they probably just mistook it for something it wasn't, and B) Has this person been smoking crack today by any chance? LOL, joking, of course...lol But yes, I think it really is hard to make the majority of people understand that you are not an idiot, and that you are not a crack head, and that you wouldn't even be telling anyone about this for no reason, know what I mean? Anyway, I'm sorry to babble on. The last file, (Map - SouthamptonVirginia3) just shows exactly where I was when I saw this thing. Thanks again for your time, kindness, and bringing a smile to my face today! Have a great afternoon and I look forward to speaking with you soon! I will be calling the witness. -------- Winnipeg, Manitoba Disc Shaped Object Date: January 24, 2007 Time: 4:40 Location of Sighting: North west horizon while standing at Convergys Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Disc Full Description of event/sighting: Well I'm not 100% sure what I saw, I was outside in the bus shack when I noticed what looked like a white reflecting line that was horizontal, and to my eye looked about 4 mm long. I went out side to watch it because it seemed odd and I was looking through glass. It drifted slowly towards the west and slightly upwards, it seemed like it was closer then most planes fly unless landing and normally you can see its shape at that size. At one point it reversed directions and went east about an inch and headed back west. When it changed directions it didn't change shape like a plane or a helicopter viewed at different angles while changing directions, it stayed the same. Not to mention there was no trail like jets leave, and if it was a prop plane it would have to have been closer because of it being a smaller plane. It then seemed to head directly away from me as it disappeared into the blue of the sky, it didn't look normal the way it kind of when up and out of sight. There was a jet in the sky at the tie way to the left and I could see its trail coming from the horizon and its approach was very slow compared to the object which didn't go down the horizon like a plane fallowing the shape of the earth. Thank you to the witness for their report. -------- Clearlake Oaks, California Bright Object Moving Over The Hills Date: January 24, 2007 Time: 5:30 p.m. Location of Sighting: West over the hills of Clearlake Oaks. Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Round. Full Description of event/sighting: I was walking past my dinning room window when I noticed a very bright light over the hills to the west of my location. I went outside to check it out and it was moving from the west to east coming closer, actually in my direction just a little north of my house. And as it got closer it zoomed way up in the sky in a blink of an eye. It went from being about 1500 to 2000 feet up to at least 30,000 feet, maybe more. It was just a speck to my eye then. I have some pictures of it I grabbed my digital cam on the way out the door I would like to send them to you. Date: January 24, 2007 Time: Approx: Noon hour.
Hello Brian, I would like to report a sight I had on January 24 around noon here in Culver, Oregon.
I was taken pictures on various things I got for sale on line and I was walking towards my Alfalfa field when I saw this sphere moving side to side really fast, one moment it would be on one side of the hill in the picture and the next on a blink of a eye on the other side.
At first I thought it was a balloon but it was like blinking in and out each time it blink it would be in a different side of the hill.
I reached up and just shoot the picture in hope to catch anything and right after pushing the button on the camera the sphere shoot up like a bullet I mean it just like went up and vanish I couldn't tell where it went!
I didn't hear any noise at all and I would think for something to go that fast boy it has to make a lot of noise you know.
Also it was right over a fairly traveled Highway (Hwy97) and Culver Hwy too.
I told my wife and she told me it was just a Para Glider..right..that thing was not flying I tell you it was like a light going on and off but you could tell it was solid reflecting the sunlight and you could even see like when the road is to hot around it.
So this is my experience the entire show lasted less than 2 or 3 minutes and it was over, I wanted to share my experience it with you and the people that visits to your site.

San Marcos, California Spherical Shaped Objects Make Random Movements Date: January 27, 2007 Time: 10:40 a.m. Location of Sighting: Home Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 2 Shape of objects: Spherical. Full Description of event/sighting: I went out front of my house for a look at the sky. I noticed some high clouds scattered in a layer. Something made them look different than the other clouds in a partly cloudy sky. They looked like ripples.
A flash caught my attention. It was a sphere, moving west against the wind. I brought up my Steiner 8x30's and instantly caught it in view. Then a short distance away, in the same field of view there was another sphere that looked identical to the first. They were very shiny and reflective.
One of my neighbors approached and asked what I was looking at. I described what I was seeing, and asked if she could see them with her eyes. She couldn't, so I gave her the binoculars but she couldn't spot them. I took the binoculars back and caught them again. Each had some appendage beneath. I can't describe the appendages, except they were twice the length of the spheres.
They made random movements, starting and stopping, but remained in the same field of view. They moved apart, so I focused on the shiniest one. It had a red spot on its side, it may have been rotating. It accelerated to the west and disappeared.
I focused on the other. It continued it's seemingly random movement. I was focused right on it. It flashed red and disappeared.
Less than a minute later a commercial looking jet, white in color, passed thru the same part of the sky the spheres had been in. From it's size I'd say it was at 20,000'. in comparison the objects were maybe 30' in diameter. The duration of this sighting was approx. 5 minutes.
Thank you to the witness for the report. --------- The Vike Report Radio Show On InnerStreams Network Every Sunday Show Description:
