Received: March 29, 2004

City of Commerece, California
Date: Spring of 1996
Time: 10:30 a.m.

The following happened in the Spring of 1996 in the City of Commerece, just east of downtown Los Angeles. The weather was cold, windy, overcast with a steady drizzle. My office was located on the 2nd floor of a office building located in a industrial park. My window gave me a view due north. At about 10:30 AM, a co-worker entered my office and asked if I had seen the strange object in the sky north of our office.

I looked out the window and observed a V-shaped black object at about 1,000 feet altitude. The object did not appear to be very large. It was completly stationary in the sky, even though the wind was blowing quite hard. The object appeared to morph, changing shape so quickly that you couldn't process what it was doing. It would always return to the V-shape after a few seconds. To the SE of the object was a red cylinder (pipe shaped) with an antenna array sticking out of the end facing the V-shaped obdject. Within a few meters of the cylinder was another cylinder. I was later told by co-workers that there were more cylinders directly above our building. I did not go out to observe because of the steady drizzle. These ojects were observed for about 30 minutes when they suddenly moved upward and to the NE in unison. Again, none of the objects swayed in the steady wind while stationary in the sky. This incident was observed by at least 30 people in our building. This was the subject of discussion the next morning on a L.A. talk radio program and an article in the Orange County Register newspaper where witnesses described it as looking like a junkyard in the early morning sky.We were all left with a errie lingering feeling that we had observed something extraordinary. I have never been able to locate any followup information on this incident.

Thank you and keep up the great work.

Thank you to the witness for the interesting report.

Also the witness provided three graphics, showing what the whole event looked like. What the person illustrated is very interesting. The graphics can be found at http://www.hbccufo.com/index.php under the Rupert, Idaho Cluster Sighting

Rupert, Idaho

Date: 1999
Time: Approx: 10:00 p.m.

We were driving north to our farm on a dark moonless night. I saw a white smudge in the sky to the northwest more west than north and another almost north. They looked almost alike. When we got home I ran into the house, got the binoculars and ran back out to look at the smudges. The one to the west was a group of round white moonlike objects with fog
surrounding them. By this time clouds had moved over the north group. As I watched, all the "little moons" moved slowly to form one larger "moon". The "moon" was still surrounded by a kind of fog. After a few minutes it all disappeared. I have three drawings I made on my computer.
Additional Information Below:

We live 6 miles north of Rupert, Idaho (50 miles east of Twin Falls, Idaho, southern Idaho USA)

First looked at it through binoculars at about 10:00 p.m.. It was sometime in about 1999.

The only way I can describe "smudge" is that it looked like a elongated very small chalk line in the sky....not round like a star. The first computer drawing shows both objects. The right group disappeared behind clouds
before I got out with the binoculars.

They were like a cluster of white round grapes surrounded by a wisp of fog when I first saw them through the binoculars. Fog was white like a thin cloudy material.

The object was about an inch at arms length with unaided eye.

The computer drawings show about the amount of small round moon-like objects....can't remember counting them but there were many of them...some larger than others.

They didn't move in any way except to very slowly gather into one moon-like object.

My husband and I were the only witnesses on our farm. Didn't hear of any other witnesses.

Weather conditions: clear dark skies and a little cool.

No aircraft seen or heard....no sound.

No beams of light coming from them and no tails or trails.

Drawings below made by witness.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Osbourne Village, Manitoba

I recently heard an archived interview with you and Whitley Strieber. You mentioned an incident that involved some sort of beam of light appearing in the sky over BC. This was a mass sighting. I would like to add my 2 cents.

I currently live in Vancouver, but at the time I was studying graphic design in Winnipeg. More accurately I was between school years. It was sometime in the summer of 2001 or 2002. Three of my friends and I were in a part of the city just south of the downtown core know as Osbourne village. We were walking north through the parking lot of Shoppers Drug Mart. It was a warm, hazy summer night. Cloudless, but the sky was orange-pink with the glow of city lights. There were alot of people around at that time of night in that part of town.

Suddenly this enormous beam of light appeared from horizon to horizon. There was no sense of velocity, it was as if is was turned on, or suddenly became visible. There seemed to be no arc to it either. Just a huge Fluorescent blue-green beam. I had the impression that it was quite far away. At arms length it was about 3.5 inches thick I am not certain how long it was observable but I would approximate the duration was less than one second.

When I saw this, my knees buckled. I do remember that distinctly. I felt absolutely dwarfed by whatever kind of forces were behind this display.

I am a designer working in television. I have an excellent eye for color and proportion and composition. I have served formally as a court artist on several occasions. That said, I would like to send you a full color graphic depicting the event. To the best of my knowledge the color of the sky, the beam and its size relative to the buildings in the graphic are not exaggerations.

Once again, I would like you to see it. I think you may find it interesting.

Additional Information provided By the witness. Below:

There was no sound whatsoever. No pre-cursor flash. I had the impression, and I emphasize impression that it was very far away, perhaps even in space... The size of it was absolutely staggering. And, it was absolutely straight. From what I could tell, there was no variation in intensity along the beam. Shooting stars for instance, have a tail that fades away into nothing. This was solid by comparison.

Horizon to horizon. I have seen neon lights of the same color. That is probably the best way to describe it. A gigantic blue green neon tube in the sky. Again, it was as if something was switched on and then off. Very hard to gauge velocity. It seemed static while we observed it. Soft edged, like laser light in smoke, but very well defined.

For an instant it seemed like the end of the world. A knee-buckler for sure! Mind-bending. I didn't see any other beams that evening, and I am not sure I could have dealt with any more. I have seen meteor showers miles away from any light pollution and I've even seen space debris re-entering the atmosphere, which is quite spectacular. But both of these things seem to move at a snails pace in comparison to thing. I really feel that graphic is an accurate depiction of what we saw that night.

I am fairly certain this event took place in the summer of 2001.

A few notes on how this image was created. I found a photo of Osbourne Village in Winnipeg on a google image search. I have enlarged it, cropped it blurred it compressed some of the low res color information, adjusted the levels and made daytime night. The sky erased and re-rendered an appropriate shade. It bears little resemblance other than basic composition to the original photo, which is a fairly generic tourist eye view of Village. I have blurred the buildings and street partly to compensate for poor quality of the sampled image and partly to emphasize the phenomenon.

This is the intersection of Osbourne and Stradbrook looking north on the west side of the street. This was the nearest vantage point close to our location that I could find on an image search. Our position would have been one and a half blocks north and 30 meters west relative to the perspective shown. We saw the beam behind several high rise apartments (one of which is visible).

Thank you very much to the witness, for both the report and the wonderful graphic of what he saw.

The witness for the sighting below are referring to the sighting report which took place on March 31, 2004 and the witnesses to that case had taken a number of photos of what they saw. Also a link to the March 31, 2004 sighting is included in this new report below.

Vernon, British Columbia

Date: March 29, 2004
Time: 5:50 p.m .

Hello Brian

I was watching the contrails in the sky as they were odd. The one I was watching had the appearance of a large plane contrail, two thick and twisting trails leading into thinner lines and disappearing. I looked in the binoculars to see what plane left this trail. At the head of the trail there was no plane body. There was instead 5 distinct shapes and their trails were
merging into two. The "body" looked like a cloud hand in a fist. As it approached the ground the "fingers" were slightly opening. I saw a small ship, silver and reflecting the sun. It was about a centimeter long (in the binos) and it was circling the area where the trail ended. It was an eliptical plate in shape and the back end had a red marker on it. I don't know for sure if the mark was chevron shaped. As the ship circled the area moving with speed I noticed it was doing rollovers and would dissapear and reapear in the sunlight. This sighting occured in the sw sky over the mountains and Okanagan Lake between Vernon and Kelowna. The ship I saw headed SE. The total time was approx. five minutes from watching the contrail descend to the ship leaving the area.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

St. Paul, Minnesota

Date: April 1, 2004
Time: 8:30 p.m.

My wife and I saw the exact same thing over downtown St Paul last night heading south around 8:30 PM. We believe it was a flock of geese flying at a high elevation that were catching the last rays of sunlight.

Additional Information Below:

We live in a high rise in downtown St Paul, Minnesota, so I believe we have a different vantage point from which to view the phenomena than someone on the ground would have. At approximately 8:30 PM on Thursday we went out on our balcony to have a cigarette. The sun had set and it was fairly dark.

My wife noticed the flying "V" formation heading due south. The sight was identical to the picture you posted on Rense.com. or here at: http://www.hbccufo.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=1150 She pointed it out to me and we stared at it. Our initial thought was that it was a UFO. But as we observed for about three minutes we noticed that the formation metamorphised into a sloppy looking "W". Then we saw a piece of it break off and go to the other side forming a lopsided "V" formation again. There was a cloud formation to the southeast that was slightly illuminated on the top as well. Both the formation and the cloud to the southeast faded out simultaneously.

There is a large Canadian goose population around here. Typically we can see flocks flying south near the end of the evening. Based on our observation we thought that the "V" was a flock of geese flying at a higher than normal elevation and they were catching the last rays of light on their underbellies.

Again, we could be wrong. I have seen unexplained sights in the sky before but this was the first time I had ever seen an illuminated flying "V". In this particular instance though, I think that the sight we saw probably had a natural explanation.
It may very well be that what you observed portrayed different characteristics and was not the same phenomenon we observed. I wish you luck in solving the mystery.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Haysboro, Calgary

Date: April 1, 2004
Time: 11:55 p.m.

Calgary, I saw something towards the west at 11:55 p.m. Thursday. I watched it thinking its only a star, then it moved one way then back again. It looked kind of like a yellow white light with pulsing red light. Two planes flew past, this was weird because the light didn't move at first, then after the second plane flew by, it moved away slowly. I live in Haysboro Southwest part of Calgary, looking west is where I saw this. It's a very cool evening. I hope someone else saw this too.

Additional Information Below:

The witness observed the light for approximately 5 minutes before losing sight of it. I also was playing a cat and mouse game, hide behind a tree branch, and see if it moves, and yes it did. Now as for the lights probing, moving back and forth, its kind of hard to see between the branches and my binoculars aren't that great for distance. I would estimate the object's altitude was as high as the two planes as they were flying into the city. I did not hear any sound coming from the object but did hear the sound of the planes that flew over. It was about the size of a pea/dime.

There were no other witnesses to the sighting, only myself. I went out side to see why there was so many lights in our alley. Some kids decided to spray paint their initials on the side of our garage last night and I thought they were back. So I went on to the porch to have a look. I saw the moon and I decided to take a picture of it. Then I looked at all the stars in the sky when I noticed that one was was sitting there as the first plane flew by, then it moved. I grabbed my binoculars to have a closer look and then it moved again. I played this game you close one eye, see what happens, it moved further west and then north. The red light kept pulsing and I noticed it turning and then it stopped. I wanted to go chase it, but thought it would disappear.

After the second plane flew by, it left heading west by north. The first plane looked like a normal commercial airline, the second plane I paid no attention to it.

Sorry that's about all I can tell you, I hope someone else saw it too.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Calgary, Alberta - Red Objects

Date: April 04, 2004
Time: Between 9:00 -11:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 1

Number of objects: 3
Shape of objects: red dots

Full Description of event/sighting: I was in my hot-tub enjoying the night sky looking at planets and stars and such when I noticed a faint red dot flying away from me going west. At first I thought it was a plane but the dot's red color didn't seem to flash, it retained it's colour perfectly as it flew. It was when it started going back and forth as it flew west that i knew it wasn't a plane or helicopter. It was fairly low on the horizon so it was far yet it sped back and forth FAST. The speed and manuverability of it stunned me. Then when I knew this thing wasn't explainable, another two red dots flying in formation quickly joined up with the first and they all sank below my line of sight because trees were in the way. I hopped out of the tub and ran to where I could see, but they were too far. All of this happened in around 6 seconds...these little dots were moving way too fast for any vehicle I know of. I would be interested to hear if anyone else might have seen this.

Thank you to the witness for the report.
