Mel Gibson Movie Controversy

When Sender, Berl & Sons Inc. assesses the presidential decisions of Bush 43, particularly regarding oil rich nations; we never fail to factor into our analysis the reality that global oil is Bush family business. Consequently, when we address the controversial Mel Gibson movie, we cannot fail to factor in that his father holds anti-Semitic views and one would be foolish to fail to understand that such environment influenced Mel Gibson, particularly in that he carries high respect for his father.

Having said this, Christian leaders are no doubt gleeful and rightfully so that the movie has proven to be a lightning rod to bring back their flocks to the Church. This is a real benefit of the movie: returning people back to G-d. However, understandably, the ADL and Jewish representatives are upset about the movie since it does provide a platform for those that use bible to build hate and violence. In this regard, the movie provides fodder for the new world order forces who seek to dilute religion on the given argument that religion has been the platform for hate and violence, massive death and devastation.

We have seen this dynamic recently regarding the detestable crimes committed by those holding themselves to represent good and G-d and victimizing young children. Evil attaches itself to good and G-d, to use good and G-d to serve their personal agendas. Thus, no doubt, the Mel Gibson movie will in fact serve the separate agendas of both good and evil. Those who want to lend an ear to good and G-d will do so and similarly those who want to lend an ear to hate and violence will also do so as well.

Ironically, our opinion is that those who protested against the movie ignited public interest in it against their own announced intent to cast a shadow over it. When the government in Israel moved to banish Barry Chamish's book on the Rabin Assassination, it only drew public interest in it. Similarly, the attempt to diminish Mel Gibson's movie has driven it to national and global attention.

Sender, Berl & Sons Inc. provides deeper analysis into many issues. After laying the foundation above, we want to provide one as well into this controversial movie. While Mel Gibson proclaims that it is true to Gospel, the truth of it is that Jesus was a devout Jew critical of those who defamed and dishonored G-d's name. He thus was highly critical of the activities taking place on the Temple mount. He and those around him honored the bible and lived lives in accord with Jewish custom and tradition (James thereafter maintained a Christian must keep all 613 Torah commandments). However, the Jesus in the Mel Gibson movie shows no such affiliation and thus does not accurately reflect the Jesus in the time period portrayed.

The further truth is that after his death, there were two splinter groups. The one more aligned with Jesus' personal life and behavior became subservient to the one that grew into the dominant religions based on Jesus. This allowed Christianity to spread, encompass and embrace the global community. However, again, we are dealing with a movie that offers to portray the time of the death of Jesus and thus it is plain that the movie does in fact reflect the biases surrounding Mel Gibson during his life.

Further, in this regard, Jerusalem was in the control of Rome. We all know the hallmarks of Rome during that period of time. Crucifixion was the flag post of Roman evil. Countless people, including many Jews, faced death by a medium that, of course, at that time, had no religious significance.

Those representing the Jewish people in Israel at that time were of the same character and genre of the Shimon Pereses in control of Israel today: collaborators with Rome. Notably, the Jewish leadership was quite adeptly -- as the Jewish leadership today in Israel --taking the people of Israel on a course leading to their expulsion from the land.

When this course rears itself, the issues do not have their nexus to whether the Mel Gibson movie reflects truth or justice. Those critical of the movie feel that the movie is an injustice. However, this dynamic also comports and is reflective of the "injustice" seen by us that after having Torah, history, the benefits of time, every conceivable opportunity to prosper and learn, that the Jewish people reflect a nation moving away from G-d not to Him. The injustice is that being the child of such a loving parent that we can dishonor Him yet again and fail to have built an Israel as He desired: one bringing honor to His name. Thus, again, for the very same reasons as two thousand years ago, as we have argued since 1984, Israel is yet again on the same path and it appeared to us that we would lose it by G-d having us voluntarily give it up: which we are doing.

Thus concepts of fairness and justice revolving about today's events, as we have analyzed them throughout our web site, is much more complex and far deeper than apparent. Thus, basic perceptions of fairness and justice fail to account for the deeper levels of unfairness and injustice in play, including seeing cultures aligned with G-d (Allah) being attacked to diminish their religious heritage. If there are claims for justice and fairness, one could first ask Jonathan Pollard his perceptions of these dynamics, and moreover one could ask the people of Islam of their perceptions of these dynamics as well. Our position is that to receive G-d's favor and intervention, one cannot live a life blind to one's own failings to his G-d and to his fellow man.

In conclusion: Mel Gibson's movie can be a platform for emerging global anti-Semitism and those in the Jewish community who attack it have only given it the long legs it may carry. The solution to the aspect of unfairness and injustice represented by the movie would be far better offset by bringing comment to the reality that Israel today, with an emerging population with no belief or conviction in G-d, operates to defame G-d's name and gift, moving Him to ultimately consider, yet again, dislodging us from the land. By directing energies toward the real issue and problem in play, many problems for the global community could in fact be resolved by an Israel moving toward the aim intended for her: to utilize her G-d given potential to serve as a nation of ministers for good. It is anything but that and as a consequence, as foretold by Torah, anti-Semitism in such an environment would reemerge to serve Israel's birthright in tandem with Israel's putative expulsion, when accepting new world order mandated culture change diminishes G-d's name in re-gifting the holy land to the Jewish people. We see the injustices that may arise due Mel Gibson's movie within a framework interpreted by Jacob and set forth by Torah long ago (Genesis 34:30). It behooves all peoples of the planet; especially those within the trilogy of religions under monotheism, to better understand it.
