3 Teens Sought In
Public Dog Beating
What's Wrong With These People?

Jeff,

Have you seen the story on the news about a dog named Lucky? It's a big local news story here, being covered on all the major news channels.

This past Sunday, 3 teens were witnessed beating a dog to death. The dog, Lucky, a one year old Jack Russell Terrier, was being beaten to death when a person finally spotted and stopped the teens from continuing their senseless acts of the most despicable violence.

The incident took place in Asbury Park, NJ and the dog was so badly beaten, the vetenarians were very uncertain if they should even try to help the animal recover. The three teens first took to beating the dog down with their fists, then repeatedly kicked the dog when it was down and not fighting back. Then, they were seen picking up the animal's lifeless body and throwing it against a brick wall. And finally, when they were eventually stopped, they were seen picking up cinder blocks, getting ready to finish the animal off.

This is one of the most disgusting and heart-wrenching stories I've heard in a long time. Not to mention the obivous psychological impairment these three teens have. Mind you, there was another senseless act of violence against animals here in New Jersey earlier this year, when another three teens (all eighteen and older) broke into the Popcorn Petting Zoo in Lacey Township, NJ and killed several birds and harmed many other animals. The Zoo is a shelter for abused and abandoned animals and operates off of donations.

Currently, there is a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of these 3 teens. This act is so inhumane, I personally hope they increase the reward and turn it into a bounty instead on the heads of these three individuals, regardless of their age. If they could do this to a defenseless dog, imagine what they could do to a person they disagree with as well. Recognize that this is anti-social mob mentality, a three on one gang up. They are are mentally deficient here and although there was a witness to the crime, actually confronting the teens, the news is playing this one by lending little detail and keeping their identities, "non-descript". In plain english, if these were three white teens in Asbury Park, it would be A LOT easier to catch them as they would be fewer in that particular area and therefore easier to catch. I hope this story does not get spun and burried because of possibly inciting anything to do with race. This was a violent crime done by American citizens who are under jurisdiction of our country's laws. Can we just handle the case as such...please...I beg you.

The dog was shown on the news this morning. With a protective collar around his neck so he can't lick the healing stiches and wounds, he seems to be in good spirits. The veterinarian remarked that the Jack Russell Terrier breed is a very tough dog and not many other animals could have survived this kind of savage beating. The dog did lose his sight in the beating but there is some hope that it could be do to brain swelling, as brain damage was indicated, and could heal to some or full restoration.

I honestly hope these teens are caught and not only tried, but a thorough examination is given their lifestyles to disect this behavior and eradicate it. I want to know their names, age, race, socio-economic class level, their current diets, their vaccination records, what are their grades like, what are their reputations, what are their police records, what kind of television, music and video games do they entertain on, if they come from broken homes, if they were physically, mentally or verbally-abused themselves.

Is that too invasive or does it sound like big-brother tactics of profiling to you? Well it's not. It's about asking the important questions, "What causes someone, NO, three individuals to act this way?" It's about They should be thanking God right now that someone like myself did not witness them do this thing. For they would not have gotten away. The headline story would have read, "3 teens found severely beaten and on life support, 1 dog was also found severly beaten." If we are in a free for all society that doesn't take ANY responsibility for the way it stimulates and educates people, then I should not be held accountable for the way I would decide to handle the situation at that moment as well.

Does that make me no better than them? Not exactly. I'm not about to go out attacking innocent people. Whereas the dog didn't have a voice to say, "PLEASE, STOP, PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!" perhaps someone bashing in their skulls and kicking them in the ribs would help them evolve quicker, realizing that violence is not a good thing, especially when it is inflicted back at them. I don't go for the Politically Correct methods, where if they are youth, they might be tried with kid gloves and get off easy. Incidentally, those three teens in Lacey Township, within the first month of landing in a county facility awaiting their trial, an inmate broke one of the eighteen year old's jaw and beat him within an inch of his life while guards failed to respond within a timely manner. Perhaps there is justice in this world, even if it has to be doled out by other criminals. I wish they had published that prisoner's name in the paper, I would have liked to send him a carton of cigarettes or whatever he needed in there.

But come to think of it, this is begining to almost sound like a piece about our own current administration and the way they take on countries like Iraq? Now the question is, if the media covered the killing of innocents over there the way they did with these three teens beating on this poor dog, would people be as equally infurated towards George Bush & Co. as I am now about this senseless beating? I doubt it. We live in a world where animals are pampered and treated better than humans anyway. My own dog lives in a nice warm home, gets fed daily, can sleep all day and watch television with us. Yeah, there is something seriously wrong the state of affairs right now in this world. Incidents like this are reminders to some to see if they can still feel pain. This just added to my own today.

Peace and prayers for the dog and to the families that might be shamed in knowing these teens. May God have mercy on their souls and issue them the trial of the experience of this event, through the dog's eyes and spirit, when they die. That I pray is the justice we ALL face when we pass on. That would be true justice.

Sadly,

Mr. Macedo, I read your poignant letter in regards to the brutal beating of the Terrier. I can see that is upsetting to you.

People who beat innocent beings need to be removed from the gene pool. However, I cry over the thousands of people that our government has slaughtered in the last three years. People who had minimal utilities, minimal foods, no health care, no money, no recourse to fight the Hordes who have gutted their economy, stolen their goods, that were protected by treaty, and murdered their families while they were asleep or in the full light of day. All done in the name of "liberation" and "democracy".

The question is never what kind of God would allow that, as obviously God did not start that war, but the question is ALWAYS What kind of people would allow that to happen!!!!!

I am sorry for the poor and precious animal that was so brutally beaten by the Spoiled and Hateful teens, but I am deeply shamed that I seem to be the only person who has cried themselves to sleep over the mass murder of people like us, who love their children and want to see them grow, not hold them int heir arms until they die screaming in agony from the shells, bullets and missiles of this country that you and I have bought and paid for with our taxes.

I am ashamed that we as a country have become a corrupt and evil group of fiends who do not lift a finger to stop any of the murder, rape and pillaging that is done is our name to a people who just want to live and be happy like us.

But we will pay dearly for our silence, because we have allowed this to happen from the safety of our selfish and narcisistic mental state that wants designer clothes and a Mercedes Benz.

How do you spell Nazi? How do you like our tax dollars murdering children? And killing our own troops slowly and agonizingly with Depleted Uranium? Denying them medical care for them and their families that will die miserably from the same radiation that the soldiers have so lovingly brought home with them!!!! Vietnam brought us marijuana and Herpes. The Bush Regime and Kadaverous Kabinet have given us bankruptcy, treason, and mass murder right here on our own shores.

That is what keeps me up at night. I thought I would share that with you. Yes, it is wrong, wrong, wrong that those boys tried to kill that dog, but it is more wrong that no one intervened sooner.
