- CAIRO (Reuters) - An Egyptian
Boeing 737 airliner crashed into the Red Sea after take off from the seaside
resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, killing all its 135 passengers, an aviation
ministry source said Saturday.

- The source said 127 of the passengers on the plane, bound
for Cairo, were French. Egypt's official news agency Mena said the plane
disappeared shortly after takeoff at 0244 GMT.

- Mena said the plane also carried six crew and belonged
to a private Egyptian company named Flash Air.

- The agency quoted an official source as saying the plane
had been located in the Red Sea off Sharm el-Sheikh and that efforts were
underway to retrieve the victims.
