Egyptian Airliner Crashes
In Red Sea - All 135 Lost

CAIRO (Reuters) - An Egyptian Boeing 737 airliner crashed into the Red Sea after take off from the seaside resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, killing all its 135 passengers, an aviation ministry source said Saturday.
 
The source said 127 of the passengers on the plane, bound for Cairo, were French. Egypt's official news agency Mena said the plane disappeared shortly after takeoff at 0244 GMT.
 
Mena said the plane also carried six crew and belonged to a private Egyptian company named Flash Air.
 
The agency quoted an official source as saying the plane had been located in the Red Sea off Sharm el-Sheikh and that efforts were underway to retrieve the victims.
