Sterile... with something hideous beneath the surface. That Franklin quote... maybe Cheney (and Franklin!) need to be reminded of Romans 9:17 "For the scripture declares unto Pharaoh (the Hitler of Moses' day), God said, 'Even for this same purpose have I raised you up: that I might reveal my power through you, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.' Therefore God has mercy on whom he so chooses, and whom he will he hardens (as he did Pharaoh)." Just because God aids doesn't mean he APPROVES!

Cheney's card is hideous beyond expectation! Dessicated. Devoid of all emotion. Steely. Drained of blood. Crusted with megalomania and religious insanity. Martin Sheen's character in "The Dead Zone" had much more humanity.
