the head Tuesday, critically wounding him, in the Balata refugee camp in
the West Bank city of Nablus, Palestinian hospital officials said.

- Soldiers opened fire after a group of youths began throwing
rocks at them, the sources said, adding that the boy, Noor-Eddine Emran,
had been on his way to visit an aunt.

- Four other youths, including Noor-Eddin's twin brother,
were lightly wounded, they said.

- Security services on Monday detained a Palestinian man,
Shadi Abu Khatsin, in the Gaza Strip, Army Radio reported on Tuesday.

- According to the security services, Abu Khatsin was enlisted
by the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, and was responsible for various
terror attacks.

- Palestinian gunmen opened fire on Tuesday at an Israeli
vehicle, traveling northwest of the West Bank city of Ramallah. No injuries
were reported, but some damage was caused to the car.

- Meanwhile, the Haifa District Court on Tuesday sentenced
Mohammed Mahajna from Umm al-Fahm to 18 years in prison for assisting a
would-be terrorist on his way to carry out a terror attack, which was never
executed.
