- Prime Minister Ariel Sharon told the cabinet Sunday that
Israel needs to improve its image in the court of world public opinion
and said that next week's meeting will be dedicated to discussing the topic
of Israel's public relations.
-
- Referring to the pictures of Palestinian children challenging
IDF armored vehicles, Sharon said, "It is difficult to explain these
pictures."
-
- The prime minister also said, "There is no doubt
that a Palestinian child in the shovel of a bulldozer is a lot stronger
than all of our words."
-
- Minister-without-Portfolio Natan Sharansky presented
anti-Semitic films to the ministers in which Jews are seen killing Palestinian
and Christian children in order to use their blood for baking Matzot on
Passover.
-
- A European Union poll taken three weeks ago showed that
59 percent believe that Israel is the greatest threat to world peace.
-
- At the time, Sharansky, responsible for Diaspora affairs,
said, "The fact that the majority of Europeans sees Israel as the
main danger to world peace and not those nations which finance terrorism
or dictators who threaten to use weapons of mass destruction is additional
proof that behind the 'political' criticism of Israel stands nothing less
than pure anti-Semitism."
