- In light of the prior article I sent you saying Bush.
has called up Cal's. national guard for 584 days, this violates the below
code by 3 times, unless the code is ignored because the administration
is above the law, especially California law!
-
- CALIFORNIA CODES
- MILITARY AND VETERANS CODE
- SECTION 389-398
-
- 389. (a) As used in this chapter, "temporary military
leave of
- absence" means a leave of absence from public employment
to engage in
- ordered military duty for a period which by the order
is not to
- exceed 180 calendar days including travel time for purposes
of active
- military training, encampment, naval cruises, special
exercises or
- like activity as a member of the reserve corps or force
of the armed
- forces of the United States, or the National Guard, or
the Naval
- Militia.
- (b) "Public employee" means any officer
or employee of a public
- agency, except for those officers or employees of the
state subject
- to the provisions of Chapter 11 (commencing with Section
19770) of
- Part 2 of Division 5 of Title 2 of the Government Code.
- (c) "Public agency" means the state, or
any county, city and
- county, city, municipal corporation, school district,
irrigation
- district, water district, or other district.
- (d) "Armed forces" or "armed forces
of the United States" means
- the "armed forces" as defined in Section 18540
of the Government
- Code.
- (e) "Recognized military service" means
service as defined in
- Section 18540.3 of the Government Code.

-
- "About 760 California National Guardsmen who Thursday
were given mobilization orders stating that they will be going to the Middle
East.
-
- "They are the first National Guard ground troops
to be called to combat duty in the Iraq operation.
-
- "The 1/185th is a tank unit but will operate armed
Humvees in Iraq, officials said. The hardest part for McBrearty, he said,
will be leaving his 2 1/2-year-old son, John Jr. "I will miss him
so much," the proud father said. "He will be almost 4 when I
get back." McBrearty also has an 18-year-old daughter named Kristina.
"
-
- So, California has wildfires that have so far destroyed
more than 1800 homes, many lives, and have exhausted the firefighters.
Time to call the National Guard, at least that part that guards California,
right?
-
- But no! The Bush administration in its misconceived war
plans, included the National Guard as part of the force to go to another
country, because Bush is so anxious to get revenge against Saddam in particular
for daring to try to kill his father (see Bush remarks at a congressperson's
fund raising speech.) Not counting the fact that both the pResident and
vice pResident are oil men and Iraq is the big prize. And not counting
the fact that Israel wants us to remove a threat to them, and Saddam's
payments to martyr's families, so they can have a free hand killing Palenstians.
-
- Question is: if the National Guard is somewhere else,
in fact thousands of miles away, and we have many warnings of immenient
terror attacks (that so far I haven't seen,) let along multiple billions
in damage and loss of life due to wildfires, fought by exhausted firefighters,
then should not the National Guard's orders from the Nation's Capital be
countermanded by the new California Governor to keep them in their home
state, helping with the emergency of the wildfires and the perceived terrorist
threat?
-
- I don't understand why the media and the public doesn't
raise holy hell about the Nation's last-stand guard being shipped about
as far as possible from the territory they are supposed to guard: us?!
I do not agree that the Bush administration and their wealthy business
friends are gung ho to send our armed forces around the world for so-called
'pre-emptive strikes' while leaving our nation unguarded and vulnerable.
Of course the pResident is the most-guarded individual in the country,
so no worry there, and the vice pResident is currently having his mansion
on the Naval Observatory base fitting out with a hospital room, with personnel,
and the basement dug out for a reinforced bomb shelter, for his wife I
guess.
-
- My question is: why are the members of the administration
very well guarded, and very wealthy, and very privileged, and able to be
above the law and the Constitution in their shocking conduct of the Nation's
well-being versus their well-being. There are several of us who are not
multi-millionaires, nor privileged, and since our Nation's Guard is being
removed, we are unguarded in the manner the Constitution provided. But,
when you have the power, and opposing interests to those of the country,
then you can have killed whomever you want, jail whomever you want per
John Ashcroft, take the homes, money, and security of whoever you want,
search the home, person, or possessions of whomever you want, all with
no regard to the law, nor repercussions. The pResident has issued Executive
Orders to prevent you from suing certain government agencies or personnel,
and many big businesses who caused you harm. The pResident has refused
to agree to membership in the new World Court so he and his lackeys cannot
be charged with war crimes brought either by citizens of this or other
countries or governments.
-
- However, those of you who have some control over others,
or those of weak minds who have been brainwashed by these malfeasants,
would of course agree with them. Those who respect the Constitution, are
Patriots in the sense defined pre-9/11, and have no urge to control others,
but to have control over their own lives, do not see in this country what
they would expect, but a corruption to our Constitution, and what we would
have for this country and our neighbors.
-
- The National Guard's motto is: You can sleep tonight;
your National Guard is awake!
- (Yeah Right!)
