- WASHINGTON (Reuters) - An
American soldier is being held as a suspect in an attack in Kuwait that
wounded 13 of his comrades in the 101st Airborne Division, the U.S. military
said on Saturday.

- "A suspect was taken into custody following the
attack on elements of the 101st Airborne Division. The suspect is a soldier
assigned to the division," said a statement from U.S. Central Command,
which is running the war on Iraq.

- Two of the injured were treated on the scene and released.
Helicopters evacuated the other 11 to Army combat support hospitals in
the region, the statement said.

- None of the soldiers were identified.
