FEMA 911 'Net Rumor'
Finally Put To Rest?

Has WorldNetDaily been put under some form of pressure? Just last week it came out with a story connecting TWA Flight 800 with Islamic terrorists, which we found ill advised if not unfounded.

Today, we note the story at http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=29793
supports the claim of FEMA's presence in New York prior to the 9-11 events as nothing more than a Net rumor.

Just look at the headline:
9-11 Net rumor finally put to rest
Researcher confirms FEMA did not have prior knowledge of attacks

SenderBerl: When the head of the FEMA team tells Dan Rather of CBS News that he arrived the night of 9-10, it is not within the ambit of a "Net rumor."

The article does not even justify its point because it notes:

FEMA identified Kenney as a member of the Massachusetts Urban Search and Rescue Task Force, and according to an agency press release, his squad, along with one from Pennsylvania, was among eight initially activated the day of the disaster. As FEMA stated in WND's Nov. 15, 2001, story, eventually the agency activated a total of 16 teams.

Also, Kidd said she finally obtained an audio copy of the CBS News interview with Kenney that aired live on Sept. 13, 2001. That means, she says, a bedraggled Kenney likely just got his days of the week mixed up when he spoke to Rather from the scene. "This interview took place sometime on the 13th, two full days after all hell had broken loose," Kidd said, noting that she has an audio copy of Rather's interview. "Kenney sounds winded on the audio as if he had been exerting himself. It is more than likely Kenney, having worked virtually nonstop since his arrival in NYC, had his days run together, and his statement simply came out wrong."

SenderBerl: Look at the legerdemain. Once you see it, you know the speaker is inclined to obfuscate the truth. Kidd implies that Kenny was not even there till the evening of September 12th, being given orders only on the afternoon of that day. Thus depending on when exactly the interview was held on 9-13, Kenny was there no more than 24 hours (likely only12 hours) before giving the interview, whereas Kidd's legerdemain is that the interview was two full days "after all hell had broken loose."

Now, once you can appreciate her need to mask the truth on that dimension, look at the prior one: his squad, along with one from Pennsylvania, was among eight initially activated the day of the disaster. The fact that eight squads were activated on September 12th does not address the issue at all. Moreover, she doesn't say with clarity that his squad was among eight initially activated, she says that his squad, along with one from Pennsylvania (sic), was among eight initially activated (what is the purpose of inserting "along with one from PA unless it was the PA which could be argued to have been meant by her to be the one among the eight activated that day). Moreover, it does not suggest although it implies that they were activated at the same time (hear what Kenny says himself, below). Does it really matter in any event? Does anyone expect the government to produce a record showing at this point that FEMA was there the night before?

Let us tell you that we received information from a reliable source on or about 9-12 that the WTC buildings that very morning prior to the terrorism were visited by a group which the source thought were consistent with a FEMA team (the source noted that the group was walking around the building early that AM).

Moreover, look at what we wrote about the issue when initially brought to our attention by Joel Skousen:

Joel Skousen in World Affairs Brief dated November 9, 2001 raises poignant questions and issues concerning U.S. actions relating to Afghanistan including the following:Tom Kenny of the National Urban Search and Rescue (Part of FEMA) told Dan Rather in an interview this week: "we were currently one of the first teams that was deployed to the city of NY for this disaster. We arrived late Monday Night and went into action on Tuesday morning." Who gave them the orders to deploy to New York the night before? Dan Rather never asked. You can hear the interview for yourself at: <http://www.halturnershow.com/fema.ram>http://www.halturnershow.com/fema.ram

Sender, Berl & Sons Inc. since inception has raised the specter of the White House's advance knowledge of the terrorist attack and that President Bush's quick commitment to a long and enduring war was not reactive but pursuant to a plan already prepared for by the White House and current administration. The import of Mr. Kenny's admission is far reaching; however, with the media and press inhibited from reporting or following any story or issue not approved by those upstairs, it only can deployed as another example of the problems needing resolution at home before setting forth pretending that those who make the decisions, without disclosure to or approval from the American electorate, are able to resolve the problems of the world.

SenderBerl: It's not Kennedy, but now is it Kenney or Kenny, or will this be a further platform for additional clarification if the issue is still pursued by families of 9-11 victims? Listen to the interview excerpt because it is still active. Kidd is kidding. Kenny sounds alert and when you have a historical disaster of such magnitude, it is clear that he arrived LATE in the evening. Kidd says he was given orders the afternoon of 9-11 and what happened, was FEMA waiting for permission to fly into New York? Perhaps, after all those military jet planes who train to defend our country during times of national emergency were also kept on the tarmac allowing the towers to be struck and then crumble, keeping the emergency management team out of New York makes sense as well!

Conclusion: SenderBerl recalls:

WND banned from covering Capitol

Last week, in a secret meeting, the Standing Committee of Correspondents, an official institution of Congress funded by tax dollars, banned WorldNetDaily Washington Bureau Chief Paul Sperry from covering the Capitol. It was the ultimate act of spiteful arrogance that followed 18 months of stalling and excuse-making by the committee, which has searched in vain for any legitimate reason to block WorldNetDaily from the accreditation process that would give the independent newssite unfettered access to the Capitol. Until last week, the committee had simply refused to grant permanent accreditation to WorldNetDaily, but provided limited access through day passes. Now, even the day passes have been revoked.

SenderBerl: This is all just another sign that those who pursue any intent of independence in reporting to the American public, have to have the fortitude and will to face obstacles all along their way. The government at this point of history wants Americans to be imbued with magazine journalism covering stories and issues within set boundaries. Where journalism was intended to ferret out truth for the American people, such ambitions find no support or reward and thus are clearly discouraged. If those who accumulate attention play ball, they will have a future. If not, failure and frustration are consequences they must accept and endure.

In this environment and setting, America sits down for its Thanksgiving holiday. It really is sad for us to perceive and note. The truth is something rarely welcomed.
