Congress Passes 911
Investigation Bill - So What?

Dear Jeff,

Congress has perpetrated another cynical and treacherous fraud in waiting until last Friday, the 15th, to pass legislation to establish the Independent Commission on 9-11.

The problem is, congress will adjourn before Thanksgiving, presenting President Bush with option to waiting until the then to simply not sign it, without a formal veto, and thereby leaving it a dead letter due to the congressional adjournment.

To clarify, the 10 day period between congressional passage and sent to the president, doesn't include Sundays. Making the 27th (providing it was sent before midnight on Friday the 15th) or Thanksgiving Day (if after midnight), to veto it, or if congress is in adjournment, then it just dies!

The fact that the composition of the commission would in all likelyhood be as predisposed to the same type of rubber-stamp cover-up as was the Warren Commission on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, it not good enough reason to be complacent about this slight-of-hand being deftly poked in our eye. Afterall, it would evoke discussion in the alturnative media, including your site and radio program among others, and as in the JFK assassination, truth would surface, lies debunked, motives questioned and methodologies of covert action exposed.

I wrote Senator Boxer and Rep. Palosi today of my apprehensions and requested they keep congress in session to force a moment of truth on Bush, make him sign it or veto it, and if the latter, they will have the oppertunity to override it, and a recorded vote is required by the US Constitution on veto overrides. And since wars and repressive legislation has been predicated on 9-11, it is imperative that we demand representation in by NOT adjourning, but maintaining there constitutional appointed positions to prevent another congressional coverup by other means!
