Why didn't Americans see THIS on every radio and TV broadcast yesterday?

This morning, Amer Salman al-Qudsi, 13, was killed when he was shot in the chest by Israeli soldiers. He had been throwing stones at Israeli tanks on his way back from school, after finding the school had been closed due to the Israeli curfew.

Strict curfew is currently being imposed throughout Tulkarem, with tanks in the center of the city and Israeli forces shooting at people randomly.

Yesterday, five Palestinians were killed and 11 injured -- five of them children -- when Israeli forces suddenly invaded south eastern Tulkarem and started shooting at residents.

The attacks occurred just after the meal breaking the daily Ramadan fast, when many people were strolling in the streets, as it was the first time in 30 days that the curfew had been lifted in the city.

Israeli forces first surrounded a building belonging to the Zakat Committee, a charitable organization, shooting the building's unarmed guard, Ziad Musha, aqa, 40, in the head. Musha, aqa was killed instantly.

Tareq al-Zagal, 25, was shot several times by the Israeli soldiers at the scene, killing him instantly.

According to local sources, the Israeli forces held al-Zagal's body for several hours before allowing ambulances to transport it to the hospital.

At the same time, Israeli tanks and APCs were deployed throughout the neighborhood and three Palestinians were killed as Israeli forces attacked children throwing stones at tanks.

Ihab al-Z,kla, 15, was killed when he was shot in the chest by an Israeli soldier

Sha,aban Shaker Ibdeer, a 36-year-old taxi driver who happened to be driving in the area, was shot in the head

Ahmad Mohammed al-Jayousi, 33, was shot in the chest and head while desperately trying to get home

Dr Ahmad Abu Bakker, of the Thabet Thabet Hospital in Tulkarem, said that heavy ammunition was used in all of the killings.

Many others were injured in the attacks, such as Mohammed Barjas, 5 years old, who was injured in his face by shrapnel from live ammunition when Israeli forces shot at his father's car.

Also yesterday, in Hebron, Israeli forces arrested 15 Palestinians and attacked several journalists. Mahmoud Wazwaz, a photojournalist with Reuters, was badly beaten near an Israeli checkpoint in the city. According to Wazwaz, another six journalists were injured in the attack.

In Nablus, beatings and sweeps of arrests are also taking place as people try to leave their homes -- in violation of the strict curfew.

In one such case, Hassan al- Alaywi, 40, was attacked and beaten all over his body. He was transferred to the hospital with serious injuries.

At about 1.00 pm yesterday, Hama Wahid Salem, 40, was shot in the face, shattering her cheekbone, jaw and nose, while bringing her son inside the house from her balcony. She underwent emergency surgery at Rafidia Hospital and is now in stable condition.
