Perhaps NY film-maker Mike Zieper is to be congratulated for making a useful social statement on the overly surreal nature of our "Interesting Times" and should NOT be penalized in some rational (but severe) fashion for needlessly and maliciously straining abundantly shocked and too well abused sensibilities...

Perhaps Mike Zieper is a genuine *artist* mindful of an artist's sensibility and legitimately expressing, for us, some artistic truth useful in an aggregate self-education, and so should NOT be soundly pilloried for wasting our time (...always increasingly more precious...) researching the facetious facts of bogus stories in frustrating, frivolous and facile futility...

Perhaps Mike Zieper is a playful cinematic scamp skillfully rubbing our
senseless noses in our own embarrassingly ready (and perhaps too easily provoked) credulity, and should NOT be fined, flogged, or fulsomely fire-walled for communicating a serious threat already communicated too well by our desultory governments and other closed, and closed minded, institutions...

Perhaps Mike Zieper (AKA "Mr. Z.") has an appreciable talent and
demonstrates a rare cinematic adeptness that should be admired, celebrated, and rewarded, and should NOT be drawn and quartered in the traditional sense for further muddying waters already impossible to see through... for amplifying the contrived shadows while simultaneously provoking mistrust in whatever remains of the dwindling light...

This writer suggests, of course, the latter over the former...

Hoaxing the paranormal crosses a different kind of line because it is crying the worst kind of "wolf." There's valid stuff in the paranormal realm that goes ignored when this kind of wolf is cried. Worthwhile investigations go unperformed when that kind of wolf is cried... Scrutiny is avoided. Research is discredited. Inspections are not provided for. Examinations are dismissed. Explorations are not funded. Inquests go uncalled. Inquiries are forgotten. Righteous inquisition is made far less likely...

...Legitimate anomaly becomes the false alarm of a sociopathic lack-wit's specious wolf cry!

Mike Zieper created a disturbance of the efficacious peace, plain and
simple, good reader. Every UFO fraud, contrived crop circle, and phony Bigfoot report is a detraction from the core of legitimacy of these things and more. It's an unrecognized psycho-social crime with countless victims and the people that cooperate to perpetrate these bogus paranormal reports are criminals guilty of the worst kind of conspiracy. That conspiracy is the conspiracy to encourage ignorance, incite complacency, or foment the hapless individual's cognitive indifference and intellectual apathy!

It's not entertainment; it is misinformation. It is not art, because it does
not tell a truth. It is not even good cinema because even a pile of dog dirt will film brilliantly if it's singing show tunes and River Dancing.

No, Mike Zieper has performed no valuable service here; he has only provided for more corrosion, poured sand in already grinding gears, and poked us all in our aggregate paranormal eye. Mike, make no mistake, bites.

Cleverer Than Just Clever

Jeff,

That Chris Wilson video was of course to make fools of those of us who have been touting the content of that video as truth; ancient magic and unspeakable horror taking place behind closed doors and so on.

Oh, how utterly clever of Illuminati hack, Mike Z! Tantamount to faking a video of FDR saying to Churchill, perhaps: "Don't worry Winston, I'll get us into this war." When in effect that is what he did say. But to reveal such a video as a fake would score one for those who would have you believe that such skullduggery doesn't take place in American politics. Ah, but of course it does. So this Mike Z knows what's really going on, all right.

Under what rock will Mike Z hide when the truth about the Global Elite
becomes irrepressibly obvious?

Jeff, I didn't hear the "Chris Wilson" show, but I commend you on the way you have reacted to the hoax by being immediately forthright about it. I suspect that "Chris Wilson" is an employee of somebody way, way up there who is getting a bit worried about the popularity of your show and website.

You can expect more of this kind of sophisticated fraud in the future.

Jeff - The "confession" was not as shocking or noteworthy as you were making it.

The guy gave almost no details and a lot of generalities. If I were dying
and had secrets to tell, I would give very specific information-just so
people would know I was for real.

Sometimes, it's not always possible to do the due diligence we would like. It's better to be an unwitting victim of a scam than a knowing source of putting out false information or government spin. I think the guy you were talking to was either Mike Z himself or an accomplice.

It's so easy for us on the outside of the mainstream to be labeled as kooks or conspiracy theorists. We have an extra burden to check our facts and make sure people can take us seriously. Rush Limbaugh (who I also like) really rags the CFR and the Illuminati. Hard to prove they're real.

Keep up the good work and I enjoy your sponsors. The world is a far
stranger place than most people know.

Jeff,

I don't know how many e-mails you may have received suggesting that the deathbed confession was a hoax, but I wish now that I had been one of them.

Having worked with lawyers on a daily basis for years, I could not imagine any lawyer not protesting national publicity on such a matter, even a "father-in-law." Furthermore, I wondered at the time if the "sick" man could have been hallucinating. As you may remember a fellow perpetuated a similar fraud upon Art Bell about two years ago.

However, you may have a much BIGGER story--a much bigger issue--if you will take advantage of it. It is no less than the issue of the first amendment and the RULE OF LAW. You should bring on the ACLU and further examine this whole issue of freedom of speech and the Internet. Don't expect Rush Limbaugh to do it.

What the fellow did was fraudulent; however, I'm not sure that he broke any existing law. The FBI should have been made to charge the fellow with breaking a law, such as inciting a riot. (On the other hand, what if there were a law against INCITING TERRORISM? Who then might be charged? With this guy and with 9/11.)

Personally, I feel that it is ALREADY TOO LATE. It would not surprise me one iota that the FBI (or some "controlling entity") monitors not only your program but ALL of your e-mail; furthermore, it would not surprise me that someday we wake up and find that the Internet has been completely disconnected.

Discredit and humiliate is the name of the game. That's what people like this Mike Z are trying to do.

Jeff, just do your job as you've always done it and when something like this hoax is discovered, just be as open and honest about it as soon as you can get the word over the internet, which you have been doing and that's a breath of fresh air compared to our government which I don't trust to tell us the truth about even a simple brown paper bag.
I try to be very cautious about what I believe and know that frauds like this guy are a dime a dozen. They enjoy scamming people and so we have to be careful about what we believe.

If I were you, I would look into pressing charges on this guy, if there are laws he broke. I think that lawyer is right.
