Putin Straight Talk On
'Great Changes' In The World

He’s an effective antidote to Obama, Bill and Hillary doubletalk and serial lying - a leader who says what he means and means what he says.

Addressing the Valdai International Discussion Club’s 13th annual meeting in Sochi, Russia, this year’s theme “The Future in Progress: Shaping the World of Tomorrow,” he stressed the importance of “open discussions.”

“Otherwise our dialogue makes no sense,” he said, given the importance of addressing “great changes taking place in the world.” Nothing changed for the better since last year’s meeting, he explained.

“If the powers that be today find some standard or norm to their advantage, they force everyone else to comply,” leaving no doubt which ones he means.

“But if tomorrow these same standards get in their way, they are swift to throw them in the bin, declare them obsolete, and set or try to set new rules,” advantaging them exclusively at the expense of others.

“(S)ome of our partners (sic) demonstrate no desire to resolve the real international problems in the world today.”

“In organizations such as NATO, for example, established during the Cold War and clearly out of date today, despite all the talk about the need to adapt to the new reality, no real adaptation takes place.”

“We see constant attempts to turn the OSCE, a crucial mechanism for ensuring common European and also trans-Atlantic security, into an instrument in the service of someone’s foreign policy interests. The result is that this very important organization has been hollowed out.”

“But they continue to churn out threats, imaginary and mythical threats such as the ‘Russian military threat.’ “

“This is a profitable business that can be used to pump new money into defense budgets at home, get allies to bend to a single superpower’s interests, expand NATO and bring its infrastructure, military units and arms closer to our borders” - risking direct confrontation by design or accident.

Russia threatens no one. Yet US-led Western hysteria claims otherwise, a policy reflecting madness, certain to end badly if not reversed. Yet signs show things getting worse, not better.

Another fabricated issue has “the USA whipped up over supposed Russian meddling in the American presidential election” - despite no evidence suggesting it.

“You would think” US electoral politics would focus on pressing unresolved issues instead of inventing nonexistent threats, said Putin.

“Does anyone seriously imagine that Russia can somehow influence the American people’s choice” - or would want to when vital homeland issues need addressing.

“The idea was planted into the US public consciousness…with only one goal…to protect the interests of the Democrat candidate in her competition with the candidate of the Republicans, in this case - with Mr. Trump.”

“The US media “first portrayed Russia as an enemy and then said that Trump is our favorite. (A)bsolute nonsense,” Putin stressed. “This is complete and utter rubbish, and it is just a method of internal political struggle, as well as a way of manipulating the public consciousness ahead of the US presidential election.”

Russia will work with any US administration, provided it’s afforded the same courtesy - mutual cooperation over confrontation the way things are now.

Moscow seeks world peace, stability and security. As long as America remains hostile to its interests, normal relations will be unattainable.
