Pro-Palestinian, Anti-AIPAC Protests |

On Sunday, thousands of Palestinian supporters rallied in Washington
- protesting in front of the White House and outside AIPAC’s policy conference
venue. Activists chanted “Free, free Palestine.” “End the genocide.” “Support the right of return.” “Stop US funding of Israeli apartheid.” Speakers had their say. ANSWER (Act Now to Stop War & End Racism) coalition activists sponsored the “national march on Washington to support Palestine.” A march and rally coincided with the opening of AIPAC’s annual policy conference. ANSWER urged Palestinian supporters to come to Washington. “Stand with Palestine, say NO to the racist reign of terror and the Apartheid Wall, and say YES to the right of Palestinian refugees to return home.” “We must stand together to reject the efforts by the Israeli state and settlers to abuse, violate and evict the Palestinian people. We say NO to racism and YES to self-determination!” Activists were urged to assemble at the White House, make their advocacy known, then march on AIPAC’s convention site, protesting its annual pro-Israel gathering, an event disdainful of Palestinian rights, supporting Israeli ruthlessness. Netanyahu wants more US aid for greater regional destabilization and continued human rights violations. Israel and America partner in each other’s high crimes. Stephen Lendman lives in Chicago.
