Phony Syrian Opposition
Conditional Acceptance of Ceasefire

Conditional short-term cessation of hostilities acceptance is none at all - a ploy, a duplicitous scheme, intending to wrongfully blame Russian and Syrian forces for continuing their vital war on terrorism, the only viable solution to ongoing conflict.

Expecting Washington to abide by terms it agreed to is expecting what virtually hasn’t happened before and won’t now! Believing this time is different is living in a dream world.

Western supported extremist groups comprising the Saudi-cobbled together so-called High Negotiations Committee (HNC) issued an 11th hour statement “confirm(ing) the agreement of (mythical) Free Syrian Army factions and the armed opposition to a temporary truce from midnight Saturday” - adding a deal-breaking spanner, saying:

Russian and Syrian forces must not use the “proposed text to continue hostile operations against the opposition under the excuse of fighting terrorism” - in order words, cease their legitimate war on Security Council designated terrorist groups.

Putin and Assad are committed to continue eliminating the scourge threatening Syria’s sovereignty and regional security.

On Friday, Putin again expressed his commitment to help resolve Syria’s long-running conflict - stressing he’ll continue combating ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra and other Security Council designated terrorist elements.

“We will certainly continue our resolute combat against these groups,” he vowed.

“It is important now to effectively seal off Russia’s territory to these terrorists trying to enter from the Middle East or other regions, and act swiftly to identify and neutralize those who are involved in terrorist activities abroad.”

Moscow’s aerial campaign in Syria was undertaken to accomplish these objectives - to protect its homeland and citizens from terrorist attacks.

The US/Russia negotiated cessation of hostilities doesn’t negate or alter Moscow’s determination to press ahead with its strategy.

It’s vital for Syrians and others globally, wanting to live free from the scourge of Washington’s rage to dominate by brute force.
