Obama OK’s Turkish Northern Syria
Shelling Despite Agreed on Ceasefire

Erdogan does nothing belligerent without US approval or complicity, including attacking Kurds in Turkey, Iraq and Syria.

His terror war rages intensively - intending to continue shelling Kurdish YPG forces in northern Syria after US/Russia cessation of hostilities is implemented on February 27 at midnight Damascus time.

Longstanding US double standards are notorious. Washington virtually ignores his naked aggression, beyond meaningless lip service remarks claiming otherwise - short of backing punitive Security Council action.

At the same time, it demands Russia cease bombing terrorists in Syria - calling CIA-trained cutthroat killers “moderates.”

Washington considers Turkey a valued ally. Both nations partner in each other’s high crimes - waging terror war on Syria. US/Russia negotiated cessation of hostilities changed nothing.

Turkey continues supplying ISIS and other terrorist groups in Syria with heavy US/NATO/Israeli produced, Saudi paid for, weapons - assuring continued conflict. Expecting ceasefire to work is pure fantasy.

Assad said over 80 US-led so-called coalition countries continue supplying terrorists in Syria with armaments, financial, logistical, political and material support.

He called foreign sponsors of terrorism “active” and “unlimited,” showing cessation of hostilities is talk without intention, sham US cover for continued war, Russia and Syria to be irresponsibly blamed.

On Wednesday, a Syrian Foreign Ministry statement blamed Washington and its rogue allies for waging war on Syria “and continuing it…supporting terrorist gangs.”

It condemned John Kerry’s so-called Plan B - partitioning Syria in flagrant violation of international law if attempted.

Syria and its people remain determined to defeat terrorism, preserve the nation’s territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence, the Foreign Ministry statement stressed.

Conflict resolution won’t happen without achieving these objectives. Putin and Assad remain committed to combating ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra, Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups infesting Syria.

Putin supports the right of Syrians alone to decide who’ll lead them, free from foreign interference.

On Wednesday during a Security Council session on the nation’s humanitarian crisis, Assad’s UN envoy Bashar al-Jaafari said his “government is open to cooperate and coordinate with all states and UN organizations working in Syria” on providing humanitarian aid where it’s desperately needed.

At the same time, it rejects interventional “side deal(s)” entirely for political reasons. Ongoing conflict can’t be addressed responsibly “without engaging seriously in tackling the reason reason behind the crisis, mainly the presence of (foreign-backed) terrorist groups” waging war on the Syrian people, al-Jaafari stressed.

“How (can) we end the humanitarian crisis in the country in light of the silence about Erdogan’s military attack on the Syrian territories in support of the terrorists and the use of the Turkish lands as a passage and haven for tens of thousands of terrorists,” he added.

Ending ongoing conflict in Syria requires defeating terrorism, he explained. His government is committed to continue combating this universal scourge.
