Scurrilous NYT Anti-Syrian Propaganda

Stephen Lendman

The Times is a longstanding pro-Western lying machine, featuring managed news misinformation, spurning truth and full disclosure on major issues, notably geopolitical ones.

It’s militantly anti-Assad, scurrilously attacking him, falsely blaming him for US-led high crimes, using ISIS and other terrorist foot soldiers to do its dirty work - responsible for genocidal mass slaughter.

It perpetuates the myth of anti-government “moderate rebels.” None exist, opposition forces comprised of US-created terrorist groups, cutthroat killers, responsible for gruesome atrocities - trained to commit them by CIA operatives, including use of chemical and other banned weapons.

The Times calls terrorist-held cities, towns and villages, government forces and Russian airstrikes continue trying to liberate “besieged,” their residents “starv(ing),” falsely claiming Assad blocks humanitarian aid from reaching them.

When sent, ISIS and other terrorist groups steal it, using it for themselves and for sale at unaffordable prices.

The Times considers captured and held anti-Assad terrorists “political prisoners,” ignoring their high crimes, supporting all US imperial wars - naked aggression by any standard, raping one country after another.

Washington wants war, not peace, talks doomed before beginning. The Times quoted John Kerry’s willful deception, saying he “welcomes…both sides…participat(ing) in good faith,” urging them to “achieve early, measurable progress in the days ahead.”

Impossible when accomplishing this goal defeats Washington’s agenda, when terrorists seeking Syria’s destruction represent the opposition.

Talks were orchestrated to fail - like decades of futile Israeli/Palestinian negotiations, a longstanding sham, the greatest hoax in modern times, always dead on arrival.

When one side wants unconditional surrender, its demands alone met, conflict resolution attempts are futile, a waste of time, a willful public deception - shamelessly left unexplained by media scoundrels, notably The Times, a longstanding imperial agent, blaming victims for Western and Israeli high crimes.

Geneva I and II talks failed because Washington and rogue allies subverted them. The Times shamelessly blamed Syria’s Bashar al-Jaafari, its UN envoy and chief negotiator, earlier and currently.

It lied, claiming he “did little but denounce the opposition delegation.” His forthright efforts weren’t enough.

Washington’s rage for war and regime change prevented any chance for conflict resolution - then and now.
