180 Description: Bright orb spotted in the sky.
190 Description: I was laying on my couch watching TV. It was during
a thunderstorm, and I had seen periodic flashes of lightning. This was
not lightning. In the window next to the TV, a bright circle flashed in
the sky. It appeared very briefly, perhaps for 2 seconds, before
vanishing. It was an extremely bright, white light similar to lightning,
but it was circular. I could faintly hear a sound similar to a train or
tornado and when I stepped outside to investigate, the sound faded quickly.

190 Description: I began hearing a loud rumble, so I looked up into
the sky searching for the cause. After a few seconds, three orange orbs
appear and form a perfect equilateral triangle. The lights dropped in
altitude slightly, all in perfect harmony, and disappear. It was like
the lights just turned off. The noise disappeared instantly as well. The
more mysterious incident was that my cell phone would not work; the battery
was charged, but the screen kept turning on and off and I could not call
anyone (even with full signal).

190 Description: I saw a bright orange round object appear to the
east followed by 2 more. Together the 3 objects formed a V formation which
lasted about 6 seconds when all 3 simply vanished (they didn't appear
to be moving). Approximately 4 minutes later 3 of the same objects appeared
in line side by side southeast of me and 2 more appeared to either side,
but t in line. 2 of the objects faded out while the remaining 3 appeared
to be sitting still and then they faded out.

180 Description: Three points of yellow orange light appeared moving
horizontally following a loud boom then disappeared.
190 Description: At 22:30 at night I walked out of my building and
heard a loud boom and the sound of a plane overhead. I looked up
but saw no planes. In a few seconds 3 points of yellow orange (fiery)
lights appeared in a triangle shape. It or they moved horizontally
towards the ocean for about 30 seconds then just disappeared. They
showed up from thin air and vanished into thin air. I could no longer
hear the plane sound. When I went back into my building my roommate
said he had heard a “weird” loud boom as well but didn't look out the
window. Outside with me was a man who was about to get into his
car. He watched it too then turned, looked at me, shrugged, got
into the car, then drove away. I have heard a boom like that once
before when a meteor crashed near my hometown in Pennsylvania. I looked
up hoping to catch a glimpse of a meteor but instead I saw something that
I couldn't identify.
While watching the sky a few minutes later my roommate and I saw
an incredibly fast moving blinking white light moving in the same direction
as the three points of light. It moved far faster than the planes
I usually see and didn't have the same lights as the planes. Just the
white blinking light.

190 Description: A cluster of flashing circular lights would appear
for about 30 seconds and then disappear. During one of many sightings,
three objects formed a perfect line together another with two separate
clusters above to the left. Every object had the same reddish/orangeish
light coming from them and would get brighter and then fad out, then bright
again. It could not of been a plane because plane don't go one behind
another. There were about three in the front and about 5 in the
back. 3 nights ago there was the same thing as in the same color and flashes.
But in a perfect triangle.

180 Description: The orange orbs over the ocean
190 Description: My sister, my parents and I were sitting out on
the deck of a condo and chatting. We spotted orange-red balls of
light over the ocean that weren't typical of an aircraft in shape or movement.
They moved erratically right beside each other. They disappeared
for a few seconds and then reappeared, but disappeared in the clouds.
Since it was cloudy, we thought perhaps they were aircraft. But
we discarded that due to the strange movements. I suggested that
perhaps they were distress flares from out at sea, but it seemed unlikely
and the orbs were pretty high in the sky. We brushed it off and
didn't think anything of it after they disappeared. This morning,
out of curiosity, I googled our experience expecting to find a practical
explanation, however, there was none. Many others have reported
this same sighting over the years and one occurrence was reported from
last night as well. We are all pretty skeptical but this experience
was definitely surprising and puzzling to all of us.

180 Description: A cluster formation of red blinking
lights, moving in various directions, until they blinked out was
seen in the eastern sky.
190 Description: Our house is on high elevation in
Lorton. We overlook the Mason Neck area. We can see everything
from 1-95 freeway to South East Lorton, all the way out to the
Potomac River. Left to right in that line of sight are the
areas of Ft. Belvoir Army Base, to Mason Neck/Woodbridge area on the
right. It's about a 5 mile distance to the river.
Tonight was an overcast evening. I was watching TV with
my husband and I looked out the window that faces the river and saw
what I thought was at first a reflection. I kept staring at
it, wondering why it looked like Christmas lights, because the roof
of the house behind us isn't that high (and it was July!). These red
lights reflected in the mirror behind me as well.
We both got up to check it out, went out on the deck and saw
what appeared to be a formation of lights over the area of the
Potomac River. There must have been 2 dozen at first, and
slowly as we watched, they all blinked off until there were none.
The lights were red, sometimes white, all traveling left,
right, and up (and sometimes slightly downward). Some blinked
brightly, others stayed red. I told my husband, I felt like I
was looking at the milky way, but it was impossible because we never
see more than a few stars at night around here, and with the
overcast skies, it didn't make sense. But that is what I could
compare it to.
I ran inside to get my phone and was able to get one picture.
You can see about 9-12 lights above the roofline when I over-expose
the image in Photoshop. I took 3 videos, only one slightly
turned out. It's totally black except towards the end of the less
than a minute video, where you can see a few red lights. I'm going
to see if I can take it into my video software and lighten it up.
After the lights went away, we watched an airplane fly in the
same area, horizontally, right to left, then turn and fly right over
our house. I caught most of that on video as well. We
live near the flight path of Ft. Belvoir, but rarely do these planes
fly at night, and they usually don't go over our house, but stay on
the other side of 95. Coincidentally (?) police helicopters
flew over our area for the 20 minutes afterwards that I was out and
about. That's not unusual, seeing as we live along the i-95
corridor, in the busy suburbs.
I don't know what we saw. It could have been a wedding
that released “Chinese” lanterns. I've actually never seen those
lanterns in the sky before, but there is NO breeze tonight at
all. It's hot and still and humid, so I don't know why they
would be moving all over if they were lanterns. Just my opinion.
We are both 42 year old professional people with a
family. I am well known in the community. That's about all I'm
willing to put in writing.

190 Description: My wife and I saw 20-25 orange lights, flying
or floating from Southwest to Northeast, in single formation, and at
low altitude. The lights weren't blinking like aircraft, and they
were passing beneath the sporadic cloud cover. During the
event, we could see jet airliners flying above these weird orange
lights at much higher altitudes. These objects didn't make any
kind of sound as they passed over.
