US to Have
No Role in Future |

| How can any nation have a role in what doesn’t exist and never did! The so-called Israeli/Palestinian peace process is a colossal hoax - conflict resolution unattainable because Washington and Israel want endless violence and chaos. Peace and stability defeat their imperial agendas. Endless conflict and instability serve them. Palestinians are powerless and isolated, supported rhetorically alone by other nations, failing to provide meaningful political help, or changing their policies toward Washington and Israel. As long as Israel has US backing, it’s free to do whatever it pleases, notably continuing occupation harshness including Gaza’s suffocating blockade, unrestrained land theft and settlement construction, stealing Palestinian resources, waging wars on Palestinians at its discretion, and doing whatever it takes to subjugate them, affording them no rights. Palestinian chief negotiator Saeb Erekat said the PA is weighing all options in response to Trump’s Jerusalem declaration. What options does it have? No significant ones, nothing able to change US/Israeli policies. The PA won’t meet with US officials unless Trump reverses his move, including Mike Pence when he visits Israel later this month, Erekat added. Meeting or not meeting with him achieves nothing toward changing the unacceptable status quo. Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki said Washington will have “no role” in future peace talks. The PA will seek help from other nations, Maliki saying: “The United States has excluded itself (from peace talks). They can no longer mediate in the Middle Eastern settlement. They have become a party to the conflict, which rules out the possibility of participation in the peace process.” Does it matter either way? When have discussions between US and Palestinian officials accomplished anything toward ending occupation harshness, anything toward achieving Palestinian self-determination within pre-June 1967 borders with East Jerusalem its exclusive capital, anything to help long-suffering Palestinians in a meaningful way? When have similar Palestinian/Israeli talks achieved any of these and other objectives? Never in both cases! Never in perpetuity as long as Ziofascists run America and Israel, as long as the world community does nothing to help Palestinians other than voice meaningless rhetorical support, as long as criticism of Israel isn’t followed by political and economic actions with teeth. Abbas issued a statement, welcoming Security Council criticism of Trump’s pronouncement - accomplishing nothing, no sanctions or other punitive actions, none possible with US veto power able to override any. During a Saturday Arab League meeting in Cairo, convened to rhetorically condemn Trump’s move, Palestinian Foreign Minister al-Maliki said the following: “The United States’ decision is illegal and illegitimate. It shows how biased and hostile it is and that it has positioned itself as a party to the conflict rather than as a mediator.” It’s always been this way since Harry Truman met secretly with Chaim Weizmann at the White House on March 25, 1948, pledging support for a Jewish state. When established on May 14, the British Mandate ending on the 15th, Truman was the first world leader to recognize Israel - established by displacing and massacring Palestinians. Former Israeli Defense Forces Chief of Staff Moshe Dayan later explained the process, saying: “Jewish villages were built in place of Arab (ones). You do not know the names of these Arab villages (because they) no longer exist…There is not one single place built in this country that did not have a former Arab population.” Like other leading Israelis, Dayan expressed scorn for all Palestinians, telling his Labor party colleagues they “shall continue to live like dogs…” He could have added with full US support and encouragement. Without it, Western backing of Israel might not exist, now including support from Saudi Arabia and other Arab states. For nearly 70 years, Palestinians have been viciously persecuted, for over half century under oppressive occupation. Nothing ahead suggests meaningful change. More peace talks, if held, will accomplish nothing like earlier - with or without US involvement. Whatever happens in the Middle East, America is involved directly or indirectly, a regional menace the way it is everywhere at home and abroad.
