2013 US Garden - More Mutations, Sick Plants From Fred |
Hi Jeff, I live in South Central Florida and we don't have to worry about the fascist pigs in Washington passing anti-garden legislation. It looks like gardening is becoming impossible anyway. Attached are some pictures from my fall garden. I am totally disgusted. After 35 years of growing my own food I am at a loss for words. If you remember, last year I had 1 mutant cabbage with 4 heads. This year there are 4 strange looking cabbages in my cabbage patch. I have numbered them and will continue to photograph them as they grow. I have always had great success with broccoli, but as you can see in the pictures, something is very wrong. This is a first for me. Peppers also did well and produced a heavy yield. This year they are falling off before they mature. My garden is 3000 sq ft, so covering it is not an option. Anyone who tries to say this is from { too much water-not enough water-too much sun-not enough sun- too much food-or not enough food } is a frigging idiot. Remember, I have been doing this for 35 years so I think I know what I'm doing. Take care, I'll keep you informed with any new developments. Fred |
