We
hereby officially request Jagat Prakash Nadda, India's Health Minister,
to rescind aspartame approval as global consumer protection from corporate
products that inevitably kill as US consumer protection efforts going
nowhere next 4 years; we either abandon the cause or shift focus to international
realm.
Knocking over the first domino might lead to all of them falling over,
no matter how much Ajinomoto spends to prop them up or on official bribes
to protect their heinous market.
In the global struggle to protect consumers from corporations whose products
will inevitably kill them, sometimes one article appearing half way around
the world can lead to swift, positive results, and sometimes, when publishers
and editors don't really understand what is happening on the front lines
of these battles, these journalistic breakthroughs just merge into the
pile of media bilge. Can you blame them, when the literature is full of
soothsaying physicians, who, out of ignorance or because of peer pressure,
or even bribes and stipends, say that these sweeteners are "safe."
This propensity to dodge the grim neurotoxic truth has always been bad
in the revolving doors at the FDA, but is about to get exponentially worse
as we start an era of business can do no wrong, and to hell with consumer
protection, protection of Native lands, and all of the other sacred shibboleths
purported to be so dear to prior Democrat administrations. Aspartame has
never had such hostile scrutiny, even under Democrats.
If people in leadership positions have never been affected by neurotoxicity
of commonly available products, or if they have never been struck by cancer,
they tend to discount or ignore the need to prevent all of the cumulative
toxicity resulting in tragedies of this nature.
In the USA, the worst of these folks are working for the Food and Drug
Administration, which has been in one long dance around these issues since
1981, when Donald Rumsfeld forced the FDA to approve aspartame. This chemical
had been patented in 1966 by G.D. Searle, the company of which Rumsfeld
was President at that time.
Ironically, before this forced regulatory coup, the FDA had turned down,
lock stock and barrel, aspartame's approval since its being patented in
1966, on the basis of the obvious problem that it was metabolized first
as methanol that turned into formaldehyde in the liver. FDA didn't want
people to suffer from the effects of drinking their own embalming fluid
when they were still alive. Yes, sirree: a big no-no there, until Donald
Rumsfeld came along and overwhelmed the normal regulatory process through
political rather than medical or scientific means. He can be seen on YouTube
bragging about all of this to the Searle Board of Directors back in 1980.
I write often about advances in the battle to now take aspartame OFF the
market, but there are other neurotoxic sweeteners that are just as bad,
like Splenda. (Just google "The Lethal Science of Splenda" to read a superb
article by Dr. James Bowen, MD, physician and biochemist, who is presently
dying of Lou Gehrig's because of excessive Splenda that he ingested).
While recuperating from severe dizziness resulting from an accidental
mega-dose of Splenda in a holiday pumpkin pie "gift" from a friend, I
found out about one such article, thanks to the magic of google alerts,
an important article that appeared a few days ago in Kashmir, the northern
most state of India. Kashmir is always a turbulent place that has been
fought over by Pakistan and India for decades.
Published in Srinagar, Kashmir, India, this important breakthrough as
truthful medical journalism is about the most important consumer protection
battle in the world right now. This article could lead to a rescinding
of Ajinomoto and Aspartame's approval in far off Kashmir, but would this
have any effect on the blindsiding American corporate media or on Trump's
new FDA Commissioner, whoever that will be?
It was written by a young and dedicated journalist, Bilal Bashir Bhat,
who wants to spearhead a drive in his nation to at least label, if not
ban outright, all neurotoxic artificial sweeteners.
I wrote the author who is also the editor of this venue, Bilal Bashir
Bhat, and told him that we in the USA deemed it wonderful that he and
Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) Dr Nisar ul Hassan have the integrity
and the knowledge to put out the wretched truth about Aspartame and Ajinomoto.

https://www.laprogressive.com/label-aspartame-carcinogenic/
I informed him of the good news that California is moving closer to requiring
a mandatory carcinogen label on all aspartame-containing products. I shared
with him and all of his colleagues in the Kashmir journalists' association
two articles that go to the core of this egregious poisoning perpetrated
worldwide by this company from Japan.
First, my own OpEdNews article on how Ajinomoto is moving strongly into
developing the market for their products in Africa:
Ajinomoto, Japanese Carcinogenic Neurotoxin Manufacturer Expanding Aspartame
& MSG Sales in Unsuspecting African Nations
http://www.opednews.com/articles/Ajinomoto-Japanese-Carcin-by-Stephen-Fox-African-Union_Ajinomoto_Aspartame-Carcinogen_Aspartame-Poisoning-161209-139.html
The second is by Dr. Betty Martini on the proven medical effects of aspartame
which the US Food and Drug Administration has known about since 1966,
the patent date for aspartame, since FDA has recorded hundreds of thousands
of complaints about aspartame, the single most complained about product
in the history of the FDA. (FDA stop compiling these complaints in 1995
because of an order for them to do stop that came from the Clinton White
House, but the list is quite accessible on the internet by merely googling
"92 Symptoms of Aspartame FDA records")
Here is Dr. Martini's article: Ajinomoto, Aspartame and Brain Tumors:
Recipe For Death
www.wnho.net/recipe_for_death.htm
I suggested to the Kashmiris that they as journalists quoting physicians,
the most incisive thing would be to present complaint letters about this
increasing medical evidence to the appropriate governing bodies and food
quality standards department, plus the Health Minister, all in Delhi,
and demand that they rescind aspartame's regulatory approval for all of
India.
There is such a vast amount of medical and neurotoxicological evidence
to back up such a demand, and that they would take the first major step
as journalists working with physicians to write about the truth.
I wrote that India should be suing this company for the cost of treating
the neurotoxic damages that they have caused for decades, similar to the
United States' Attorney Generals' suites against the tobacco companies
in the early 1990's that resulted in judgments of $235 Billion.
If not India at large, then this could begin with the Minister of Justice
working with the Health Minister of Kashmir initiating that effort. The
costs of treating neurodegenerative illnesses are just as clear, at least
in the USA, as were the costs of treating the illnesses caused by tobacco
in the tobacco suits back in 1992: emphysema and lung cancer.
Even if more than one nation banned aspartame, or even the rest of the
world, the corporate soothsayers and spin doctors would find a way to
continue to legitimize aspartame in the United States, anything to preserve
that market. When the tobacco suits resulted in $235 billion judgments
spread out over 25 years, the tobacco companies developed the strategy
of re-marketing their deadly products in 3rd world nations to make up
that $235 billion out of profits from pumped up international sales.
That is the way international capitalism has always worked, and why it
should now more accurately called "imperialism." These systems seems to
have an infinite capacity to adapt to working around the Truth and to
protect their bottom line profits, no matter what.
Be assured that all of this will get much worse over the next four years,
and be assured that consumer protectionists will either abandon their
causes, will work locally, or will shift their focus to the international
realm, like I have been forced to do. Knocking over the first domino might
lead to all of them falling over, no matter how much Ajinomoto spends
to keep the dominoes propped up.
Want to help? Write to the Minister of Health in India, who is also the
President of the General Assembly in the World Health Organization. His
address is at the head of this article. Don't waste your stamp on Trump's
FDA Commissioner for the next 4 years. If I am wrong on that, I will write
an article to that effect.

Here is the original article in full by Bilal Bashir Bhat:
"Leads to cancer, use of Ajinomoto unnoticed in Kashmir"
Srinagar, Dec 19 (Only Kashmir): Over the years, it has been unnoticed
that a maximum number of restaurants in Kashmir including that of barbecue
street vendors in the nook and corner of Valley are using mono sodium
glutamate (MSG) or Ajinomoto which can lead to several harmful effects
to health and even can cause life threatening disease cancer. As per a
survey conducted by Onlykashmir.in, most of the people don't know the
side effects of Ajinomoto used to enhances the flavor of the food items.
The use of Ajinomoto leads to headaches, chest pain, sweating, flushing,
breathing problems, swelling of the throat etc.
Ajinomoto actually is a brand name while the compound is known as MSG.
Ajinomoto's main ingredient is monosodium glutamate, commonly known as
MSG. It enhances the flavor of the food items. This ingredient is increasingly
found in many prepared foods.
Speaking to Onlykashmir.in, Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) Dr Nisar
ul Hassan said the Ajinomoto ingredients are an excitatory neurotransmitter.
It over stimulates the nerve cells. Excess intake of this ingredient upsets
the balance of the neurotransmitter. This imbalance leads to an unhealthy
body and also adverse consequences and even can cause the life threatening
disease cancer.
"There are several reasons to declare Ajinomoto harmful for health it
stimulates your pancreas. Pancreas then releases the insulin even when
your sugar level is fine. This excess insulin causes a drop in the sugar
standards of the body, and you feel hungry. This leads to overeating along
with obesity."
He said it was used in Chinese food but now it has shifted from restaurants
to our kitchen shelves, adding, its overuse may lead to health problems
in the long run. Asking people to avoid MSG while cooking and to check
labels for "No added MSG". Dr Nisar ul Hassan said, If you are eating
out in restaurants, request them not to add it in the food.
Pertinently in 2015, Nestle India's flagship brand 'Maggi' noodles was
banned in India after Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the Uttar
Pradesh government revealed that Maggi contained more than 'permissible'
amounts of monosodium glutamate (MSG). Although the ban was later lifted,
however, some 400 million packets of 'Maggi' were destroyed.
"Just one decade back, we use to love mom-made, home-cooked food. Eating
outside was very rare and even not needed. Now time has changed. All ready-to-cook
and instant food are readily available everywhere, even at your home.
Despite having many side effects, the Ajinomoto (taste powder) is still
very much used in our day to day life," Irfan Mir who also runs a restaurant
in Batamalo area of Srinagar.
Items That Contain MSG:
Ready-to-eat food packets
Dehydrated soup packets
Dehydrated gravy packets
Instant noodles and cup noodles
Preserved fish
All kinds of sausages
Tomato ketchup
Mayonnaise
Potato wafers
Soya sauce
All canned and preserved foods
All fast food items, mainly Chinese
These food items should be completely avoided. If you don't, you are risking
your life to an ingredient that will kill you slowly.

Unfortunately, among the now missing on YouTube is the video of Rumsfeld's
two minute speech to the Searle Board of Directors announcing that he
was going to pull in his markers and getting aspartame approved by political
means rather than scientific or medical means.
This is described clearly in Jim Turner's video; he is a former US Attorney
in South Texas:

this excerpt is about 6 min.
Turner was the lawyer who forced cyclamates off the market by FDA rescinding
its approval. The above except is taken out of Sweet Misery, a video made
by a friend who was a victim of aspartame poisoning and recovered and
made that video. It is 90 minutes.
