The Incredible Charade

By Jim Kirwan

People Do Not Know Themselves. The world is a masquerade. The face, the clothes, the voice all are false. Everyone tries to appear what he is not. Everyone deceives and does not even know himself.” Plate 6 of the Capriccios, the comment is by Goya.

It’s one thing when individuals deceive themselves about who they are or what they might become. But when entire nations engage in these misbegotten fantasies, the world runs the risk of total failure.

When we look around just within the last week the ‘news’ itself is incredulous. “Reason” seems to have totally deserted the entire planet, to the point that the only ‘actions’ being taken will only intensify all our problems whether the problems are financial, military, social or political: Everything that’s being ‘pursued’ amounts to the worst possible course of action: Yet nation after nation remains in denial despite the fact that none of what is being offered, anywhere, has ever been viable. History proves it over and over again yet we still prefer to attend our hollow meetings, the conferences and the parties promoting rigged elections; while all the major players still pretend behind their masks…

The world is dying. Money here is about to self-destruct because it’s not based on anything, except in those nations that are returning to the gold standard: The BRICKS nations that the West still maintains must be banned from their very special little world that was the West, where everything they’ve always looked to, is now just another pack of lies.

The sanctions that the West has always used to crush their targets have failed: In this instance they’re backfiring directly upon the nations that initiated them. Yet those deluded nations have not rejected the folly of their actions even as the sanctions continue to take us all deeper and deeper, into the chaos, upon every nation that enacted them. Whether the sanctions were leveled against Russia, Iran or elsewhere; all of this was done before, many times yet we have chosen not to learn anything at all from our collective past.

In order to facilitate the action of liberative [sic] forces … a special effort should be made to eliminate certain key individuals [and] to proceed with internal disturbances in Syria. CIA is prepared, and SIS (MI6) will attempt to mount minor sabotage and coup de main [sic] incidents within Syria, working through contacts with individuals... a necessary degree of fear... frontier and [staged] border clashes [will] provide a pretext for intervention... the CIA and SIS should use... capabilities in both psychological and action fields to augment tension."

That was written in 1957, though it could have been written yesterday. In the imperial world, nothing essentially changes. Last year, the former French Foreign Minister Roland Dumas revealed that “two years before the Arab spring”, he was told in London that a war on Syria was planned. “I am going to tell you something,” he said in an interview with the French TV channel LPC, “I was in England two years before the violence in Syria on other business. I met top British officials, who confessed to me that they were preparing something in Syria … Britain was organizing an invasion of rebels into Syria. They even asked me, although I was no longer Minister for Foreign Affairs, if I would like to participate … This operation goes way back. It was prepared, preconceived and planned.”

The only effective opponents of ISIS are accredited demons of the west Syria, Iran, Hezbollah. The obstacle is Turkey, an “ally” and a member of NATO, which has conspired with the CIA, MI6 and the Gulf medievalists to channel support to the Syrian “rebels”, including those now calling themselves ISIS.

Supporting Turkey in its long-held ambition for regional dominance by overthrowing the Assad government beckons a major conventional war and the horrific dismemberment of the most ethnically diverse state in the Middle East.

A truce however difficult to achieve is the only way out of this imperial maze; otherwise, the beheadings will continue. That genuine negotiations with Syria should be seen as “morally questionable” (the Guardian) suggests that the assumptions of moral superiority among those who supported the war criminal Blair remain not only absurd, but dangerous.

Together with a truce, there should be an immediate cessation of all shipments of war materials to Israel and recognition of the State of Palestine. The issue of Palestine is the region’s most festering open wound, and the oft-stated justification for the rise of Islamic extremism. Osama bin Laden made that clear. Palestine also offers hope. Give justice to the Palestinians and you begin to change the world around them.

More than 40 years ago, the Nixon-Kissinger bombing of Cambodia unleashed a torrent of suffering from which that country has never recovered. The same is true of the Blair-Bush crime in Iraq. With impeccable timing, Henry Kissinger’s latest self-serving tome has just been released with its satirical title, “World Order”. In one fawning review, Kissinger is described as a “key shaper of a world order that remained stable for a quarter of a century”. Tell that to the people of Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Chile, East Timor and all the other victims of his “statecraft”. Only when “we” recognize the war criminals in our midst will the blood begin to dry.”

From Pol Pot to ISIS: “Anything that Flies on Everything that Moves” http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article39897.htm

That’s just part of the military farce that we’re still following, when what's needed is a global referendum and a global cease-fire while we overthrow the creatures that created this.

The policies of “austerity” have never provided any solution for any place that adopted them. That’s clear. “Sanctions” for their part have always been a double-edged sword that prepares the way for No-Fly-Zones that always lead to outrageously illegal wars. Here’s the beginning of the article cited above.

In transmitting President Richard Nixon’s orders for a “massive” bombing of Cambodia in 1969, Henry Kissinger said, “Anything that flies on everything that moves”. As Barack Obama ignites his seventh war against the Muslim world since he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, the orchestrated hysteria and lies make one almost nostalgic for Kissinger’s murderous honesty.

As a witness to the human consequences of aerial savagery including the beheading of victims, their parts festooning trees and fields I am not surprised by the disregard of memory and history, yet again. A telling example is the rise to power of Pol Pot and his Khmer Rouge, who had much in common with today’s Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS). They, too, were ruthless medievalists who began as a small sect. They, too, were the product of an American-made apocalypse, this time in Asia.

According to Pol Pot, his movement had consisted of “fewer than 5,000 poorly armed guerrillas uncertain about their strategy, tactics, loyalty and leaders”. Once Nixon’s and Kissinger’s B52 bombers had gone to work as part of “Operation Menu”, the west’s ultimate demon could not believe his luck.

The Americans dropped the equivalent of five Hiroshima’s on rural Cambodia during 1969-73.

They leveled village after village, returning to bomb the rubble and corpses. The craters left monstrous necklaces of carnage, still visible from the air. The terror was unimaginable. A former Khmer Rouge official described how the survivors “froze up and they would wander around mute for three or four days. Terrified and half-crazy, the people were ready to believe what they were told … That was what made it so easy for the Khmer Rouge to win the people over.”

A Finnish Government Commission of Enquiry estimated that 600,000 Cambodians died in the ensuing civil war and described the bombing as the “first stage in a decade of genocide”. What Nixon and Kissinger began, Pol Pot, their beneficiary, completed. Under their bombs, the Khmer Rouge grew to a formidable army of 200,000.

ISIS has a similar past and present. By most scholarly measure, Bush and Blair’s invasion of Iraq in 2003 led to the deaths of some 700,000 people -- in a country that had no history of jihadism. The Kurds had done territorial and political deals; Sunni and Shia had class and sectarian differences, but they were at peace; intermarriage was common. Three years before the invasion, I drove the length of Iraq without fear. On the way I met people proud, above all, to be Iraqis, the heirs of a civilization that seemed, for them, a presence.

Bush and Blair blew all this to bits. Iraq is now a nest of jihadism. Al-Qaeda -- like Pol Pot’s “jihadists” -- seized the opportunity provided by the onslaught of Shock and Awe and the civil war that followed. “Rebel” Syria offered even greater rewards, with CIA and Gulf state ratlines of weapons, logistics and money running through Turkey. The arrival of foreign recruits was inevitable. A former British ambassador, Oliver Miles, wrote recently, “The [Cameron] government seems to be following the example of Tony Blair, who ignored consistent advice from the Foreign Office, MI5 and MI6 that our Middle East policy and in particular our Middle East wars had been a principal driver in the recruitment of Muslims in Britain for terrorism here.”

On the moneyed side of everything China, one of the two nations the West has claimed they have surrounded, has just surpassed the USA as the largest economy in the world. China is growing, as is Russia yet the West maintains that both countries must be banned from their crumbing private-clubs that can’t pay their bills or sell their products because of the sanctions they decided to enforce on Iran and Russia along with their multiple wars all over the world.

The financial pirates owned and operated by the Rothschild’s banks are behind these criminally vicious “austerity” programs and the usurious loans which they forced on nation after nation. The outrage across the planet against these crimes is growing by the minute, because people can clearly see the “solutions” as offered; only amount to deepening the enslavement of everyone they touch, in any nation that was caught in this global trap. The FOOL & FOLLY

When it comes to food and survival everywhere; all that’s being offered are pathetic meals of more bombs and bullets which does nothing for survival. Instead these meals of hate and genocide can only vastly increase all the threats to human life—worldwide!

Profits and all the luxuries are in the hands of the Oligarch’s and the corporations that don’t give a damn about anything but their own protected profits: The real needs of people everywhere are never considered because that’s not part of what they do. There is no future in endless wars: Yet that’s the only “solution” being offered by the isolated CEO’s that have decided to back Israel’s Scorched-Earth polices for the whole Middle-East and parts of Europe as well. This can clearly be seen in the war-torn ravages of Ukraine, as well as in Gaza which still has no protection from Israel in that war that began over 66 years ago.

No one has been charged with any Warcrimes and no one has gone to jail for the global-wars against the entire population of the planet. Nor has any nation charged Israel or USI with any of what they’ve done to change the face of the earth from the place that it was to the global-prison it’s become.

We are now an entire planet in denial: The pathetic masks that were used to disguise what’s already been done can no longer hide the truth of what we’ve become. We remain arrogantly ignorant of that which is clearly on display for all to see. The military masks that outlaws always wear, be they cops or Nazi’s or ISIS, have never really hidden anyone: But the politicians with their pretend faces or the horrors of a Netanyahu or an Obamanation have not succeeded either; in hiding the truth from ordinary people any longer.

As always all that’s missing is the actions not taken by the global public but that’s finally beginning to change as the numbers of the dispossessed worldwide, are growing by the hour…

Americans need to know that by every measure we’ve lost our way. We’ve lost our leadership because we have no leaders. We’ve lost our economic advantage, because we squandered the edge we started with after WWII, to the point that we are now the most indebted nation in all of human history, while many still pretend that nothing’s changed. That “party” is over and dead.

The United States is the most hated nation now because everyone remembers when we killed their loved ones by the dozens, then lied about what we did, while claiming that we are bringing freedom and democracy to those we slaughtered by the tens of thousands: This criminal farce is over because there’s no sense or planning in anything this corporate prison does, or continues to do worldwide. The moment is here when even the military leaders may soon refuse to obey the illegal-commands still coming from the Tarnished House—and when that happens all bets are off!
