West Turns a Blind Eye to Erdogan’s High Crimes |

| Turkey is a fascist police state, a valued US NATO ally, Erdogan an
international outlaw, his high crimes ignored by Western officials and
mainstream media scoundrels, on the wrong side of virtually all issues
mattering most, notably geopolitical ones. America created ISIS and other terrorist groups. Erdogan supports them, provides arms and safe haven status on Turkish territory, secretly sells stolen Syrian and Iraqi oil - he, his family members and other top Turkish officials profiting handsomely. YPG fighters (Syrian Kurdish People’s Protection Units) are important elements in the fight against ISIS in northern Syria. Erdogan continues waging all-out terror war on Turkish Kurds, slaughtering civilians in cold blood. More on his latest atrocity below. He considers PPK (Kurdistan Workers’ Party) and YPG freedom fighters “terrorists.” He demanded YPG political representatives be excluded from sham Syrian peace talks. He railed against Washington sending a delegation to meet with YPG officials last month. “How can we trust (you),” he ranted?” “Is it me who is your partner or the terrorists” - sounding as outlandish as George Bush saying post-9/11: “Either you are with us or you are with the terrorists.” Legitimate resistance groups are automatically called “terrorists,” including Kurds, Palestinians, Donbass freedom fighters, and many other courageous people worldwide opposing tyranny - state-sponsored terrorism, the gravest threat, entirely ignored. Erdogan rules Turkey despotically. Democracy is pure fantasy. He’s brutalizing Turkish Kurds for wanting greater autonomy, their legitimate rights respected. His latest atrocity involved massacring about 60 Kurdish civilians, taking shelter in the basement of a Cizre building, hoping for safe haven protection from his terror war. On the phony pretext of claiming they were PKK fighters, Turkish forces attacked them last Sunday. Loud explosions were heard. Photos circulating online showed evidence of mass murder, civilians not involved in fighting victimized by Erdogan’s ruthlessness. Claiming only Kurdish militants were attacked was a bald-faced lie. Remember Cizre! Turkish activists called Sunday’s state-sponsored atrocity an “utter human tragedy.” Erdogan’s war on Turkish Kurds has been ongoing since ceasefire ended last July. He wants all opposition to his despotic rule eliminated. Protests throughout Europe rage against his brutality towards Kurds, civilians attacked like militants, women and children like adult males. Kurds urge people worldwide to support their liberating struggle. Washington and other Western states turn a blind eye to Erdogan’s worst crimes. Stephen Lendman lives in Chicago.
