America’s Deplorable Imperial Agenda

Imperial ruthlessness describes America’s geopolitical agenda - responsible for more harm to more people over a longer duration than any other country in world history.

Its rage for dominance and war on humanity threaten everyone, including its own citizens, exploited and treated contemptuously.

Mocking peace, equity and justice, America punishes its best while honoring its worst. It serves its privileged class exclusively at the expense of most others.

It’s forever war agenda rages against invented enemies. The late Gore Vidal’s book, titled “Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace” explained how America got to be so hated.

He called its political process a system “where numerous elections are held at great cost without issues and with interchangeable candidates” no different from each other.

Results turn out the same way every time, names and faces alone different, deplorable policies unchanged.

On December 27, addressing Iranian officials in Tehran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei correctly called America “one of the most corrupt and oppressive governments in the world…our main enemy,” adding:

“They supported terrorists and Daesh as much as they could. They are still covertly assisting Daesh and the Takfiris.”

Both fascist wings of its one-party state support most of the world’s tinpot despots, selling them arms and munitions to brutalize their people and wage war.

America and its rogue allies are guilty of high crimes of war, against humanity and genocide.

The United States “commit(s) crimes in their own country…US police kill Black women, children and youths and are then acquitted in the court,” Khamenei explained, adding:

“This is their judiciary system. Then they criticize the judiciaries of other countries, including our faithful judiciary system.”

He called on his country’s officials to stay vigilant against a hostile aggressor, wanting Iranian sovereign independence replaced by repressive US-controlled governance.

Washington uses ISIS, al-Qaeda, its al-Nusra offshoot, and other terrorist groups as imperial foot soldiers in countries where they’re deployed - arming, funding, training and directing them, continuing to use them in Syria, wanting regime change and US-controlled puppet rule installed.

After aiding Syrian and allied forces liberate most terrorist-controlled areas in the country, most Russian forces were withdrawn.

Some remain, continuing aerial operations to eliminate remaining US-supported ISIS and al-Nusra fighters entirely.

Defeating ISIS is mostly accomplished. According to Russia’s Chief of General Staff Gen. Valery Gerasimov, some terrorist fighters operate in de-escalation zones.

Al-Nusra and its affiliates oppose conflict resolution. “Therefore, they must be eliminated,” he said, the task to be completed in 2018, Russian aerial operations to be used as needed, along with limited numbers of support personnel on the ground.

Sergey Lavrov explained ISIS was dealt a “decisive blow…(T)he main fight (with its forces) is over,” adding:

“Now, of course, the main anti-terrorist objective is the defeat of Jabhat al-Nusra. The Syrian army and its allies have been pushing (its) fighters) out of the country with our support…(T)hey are still resisting…because they have been receiving assistance from abroad.”

Without elaborating, Lavrov means from Washington, NATO, Israel and other regional rogue states.

Despite withdrawal of most Russian forces from the country, “in the event of recurrent terrorist activities, we will vigorously support the Syrian army’s actions with the help of our Aerospace Forces,” Lavrov stressed, adding:

“(A) decision has been made with this end in view, and it relies on intergovernmental agreements with Damascus on the Russian armed forces’ permanent deployment bases in Tartus and Khmeymim.”

Russia will remain active in Syria militarily until the terrorist threat is eliminated.

Washington’s position on Syria is clear, restated on Wednesday by Rex Tillerson, saying Assad and his family must go - an agenda rejected by Russia and all other countries supporting peace and stability worldwide.

Russia and America are world’s apart on vital geopolitical issues. Conflict resolution in Syria has miles to go.

It’ll remain unattainable as long as Washington wants endless war and regime change.
