Russia, Syria Resume Aleppo Aerial Operations

By Stephen Lendman
11-6-16

AMN News reported Syrian military sources warning eastern Aleppo civilians to distance themselves as far as possible from terrorists infesting areas where they’re located - ahead of a “wide-scale offensive.”

They were urged to head for the nearest government checkpoint, if possible, Russia and Syria acting responsibly, wanting civilian casualties avoided - polar opposite how America and its rogue allies operate, considering them legitimate targets in their wars of aggression.

On Sunday, AMN News said Russian warplanes resumed airstrikes against terrorists “over the western outskirts of Aleppo,” targeting suburban Al-Assad, Al-Mansourah, Minyan and Rashideen 5.

Along with Syrian warplanes, they conducted operations “over the 1070 Al-Hamdaniyah Housing Project…”

Fars News issued a similar report, indicating western and southwestern Aleppo areas with terrorist concentrations were “bombed heavily…”

Syrian military sources reported “tens of terrorists” killed, including “senior commanders, their bases, vehicles and equipment sustaining “major damage…”

Beginning on October 18, Russia and Syria suspended airstrikes on eastern Aleppo for 19 days. If they resumed in suburban areas, targeting all parts of terrorist-held Aleppo may follow in short order.

Separately, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman General Igor Konashenkov said “in recent months, we’ve delivered more than 100 tons of the most essential goods - food, medicine and other basic necessities - to Aleppo.”

“All the inhabitants of Aleppo had equal access to these goods, with no restrictions to those from the western or eastern part of the city. The State Department within this period has not delivered one bread crumb to the Syrians, for whom it supposedly cares so much.”

“During this period of time, the United States has not even met the obligations it assumed under agreements (with) Russia. (Moscow) never received either maps, or positions, or any other information about any terrorist organizations in Syria: from the Islamic State to Al-Nusra.”
