US Plans Permanent Occupation of Syria

US forces operate illegally in Syria - without Security Council or Damascus authorization.

Assad rightfully calls them “invaders.” Washington’s aim is toppling his government, installing pro-Western puppet rule, isolating Iran, and targeting its government the same way.

That’s how imperialism works, raping and destroying nations to control them. Earlier, CENTCOM commander General Joseph Votel said US forces will remain in Syria after the battle for Raqqa is over on the phony pretext of combating ISIS Washington supports and stabilizing the region.

The Trump administration wants northern Syrian territory occupied, along with other areas it’s able to control a scheme risking direct confrontation with Russia and Damascus.

Reportedly, US forces operate from seven bases in northern Syria. Trump wants congressional funding for more base construction in Iraq and Syria - permanent occupation of both countries planned.

According to Talal Silo, spokesman for the US-backed  Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), an alliance of Kurdish fighters and Arab terrorists, Washington has “strategic interests here after the end of Daesh.”

“They have a strategy policy for decades to come. There will be military, economic and political agreements in the long term between the leadership of the northern (Syrian) areas…and the US administration.”

America didn’t come to Syria to leave. It wants control over the entire country. Russia stands in the way of it achieving its objective.

The SDF is a US imperial tool, forbidden from cooperating with Syria or Russia. According to deputy Operation Inherent Resolve commander General Rupert Jones, Washington won’t let Syrian forces move north of the Euphrates River - in their own country, the area illegally occupied by US forces and their proxies.

Separately, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said trends are developing positively in most parts of Syria, including improvement in the humanitarian situation.

ISIS is on its back foot, while al-Nusra terrorists have been “build(ing) up their combat potential (with foreign help), and have been forcing their rules upon other illegal armed groups and the local residents amid signs of brewing protest among them.”

Russia continues actively pursuing deescalation throughout the country while effectively combating terrorism.

America supports the scourge it pretends to oppose, aiming to impose its will in Syria, regionally and worldwide.
