The NYT Blames Trump for Ignoring
Nonexistent Russian Threats

The Times and other Western media lie, deceive and suppress hard truths - abandoning fundamental journalist principles.

They feature disinformation, Big Lies and fake news on issues mattering most, notably geopolitical ones, especially anything about Russia.

US-led Western propaganda war on the country continues relentlessly. The long ago discredited claim about Russian interference in US and other elections persists - featured in a February 14 Times editorial.

The Times: “Not only did Russia interfere in the 2016 election, it is already meddling in the 2018 election by using a digital strategy to exacerbate the country’s political and social divisions.”

“No one knows more about the threats to the United States than (US intelligence) officials, so when they all agree, it would be derelict to ignore their concerns. Yet President Trump continues to refuse to even acknowledge the malevolent Russian role.”

Fact: The Big Lie persists about alleged Russian US election meddling. Not a shred of credible evidence proves it.

Fact: A previous article called Russophobic US intelligence community heads liars - criminally culpable for making spurious accusations about Russian US election meddling - never once presenting credible evidence backing them.

Fact: Yet the Times and other media scoundrels parrot their Big Lies like gospel truth - knowing their accusations are false, misleading and dispicable.

The Times: Trump “fired…James Comey to derail the FBI’s investigation of possible  Trump campaign involvement with the election hacking…”

Fact: Trump acted on recommendations by Attorney General Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein.

Rosenstein criticized Comey’s “handling of the conclusion of the investigation of Secretary Clinton’s emails,” adding “I do not understand his refusal to accept the nearly universal judgment that he was mistaken.”

“Almost everyone agrees that the Director made serious mistakes; it is one of the few issues that unites people of diverse perspectives.”

Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton praised Trump’s decision, saying “(t)his is an important move to restore public confidence in the fair administration of justice at the Federal level.”

“Mr. Comey did not seem to understand some of the laws he was asked to enforce and unfortunately politicized his sensitive position as the FBI director. President Trump took the right step in cleaning house at the FBI.”

The Times: “(A)bsent Mr. Trump’s commitment, there can be no robust mobilization to take all measures needed to confront an insidious problem that strikes at the heart of the democratic system.”

Fact: No US “democratic system” exists, no past or planned Russian US election meddling.

The Times: “(W)hy is Mr. Trump still ignoring (alleged Russian threats)? Some have said he is giving Russia a green light to tamper with the 2018 elections. That would have once been an absurd suggestion. It can no longer be dismissed out of hand.”

Fact: Times accusations are bald-faced lies. Its reporting “can no longer be” taken seriously. It never could on major geopolitical issues.

A Final Comment

Harvard Law School professor Lawrence Tribe, American Constitution Society president Caroline Fredrickson and Brookings Institution fellow Norman Eisen disgracefully claim Devin Nunes may have obstructed justice by issuing his memo Trump released - exposing Russiagate FISA abuses by the FBI and Justice Department.

The three claim “by writing and releasing the memo, (Nunes) may just have landed himself, and his staff members, in the middle of Robert Mueller’s obstruction of justice investigation.”

“Such conduct could expose Mr. Nunes and his staff to liability for conspiracy to obstruct justice.”

Release of Nunes’ memo was approved by congressional members and Trump with direct FBI oversight. Claims by Tribe, Fredrickson and Eisen are part of a campaign to oust Trump for the wrong reasons - Nunes targeted for releasing information helping him.

No credible evidence suggests he or Trump obstructed justice. Plenty shows Russiagate investigations are disgraceful witch hunts - McCarthyism on steroids against an elected president.
